So you don't get AFK kicked in the character select screen, nor do you have to go into the queue from it. Don't abuse it too much, ok?
Adventure or harpoon clipper?
Where do I get a diving helmet? I saw someone talking about it a few pages back and it sounds like the best.
Bought Patron, queue went from 1k to 400. Good enough, I suppose.
does the pose when gliding bother anyone else immensely? [t]http://i.imgur.com/uQMW2OW.png[/t] like I'd expect normal glide flying to look more like what they do when you pull back a bit, surfing on the center, not like you're trying to escape a tractor beam
Can we get an English app for skilltree/class fiddling please?

Also if you didn't get the founder's pack make sure you go to mirage island and by the ultimate glider blueprint! It is so much better and all you need is the glider from the chest!
So, I can't build a farm because I'm a free player..... Am I doomed to do everything in public farms?

(Or if he doesn't care that you're using it)

Guess I'll have to go for it though. I find it dissapointing that you need to pay to even make farms...

Ok what the hell, i just logged in and i noticed that ive got an extra 14g on my inventory, then i checked mail and there was 3 auction item sold, and i never sold anything on auction, there goes another 30g free. Sounds like someone was using my account this night or something...

All the spots that barely anyone knew about in alpha have already been found. But sometimes you can find that one off the spot map where everyone doesn't check, because there might be a spot that everyone plants off beside it. My friend was able to plant 600 cotton seeds and pick them in one spot, and I was able to plant 300 in another. You can also plant in a pvp zone to defend your crops, however there may be large numbers of people pk'ing you for it.
Yes all my lumber and iron are gone...
Yes all my lumber and iron are gone...
You may want to change your password and add the authenticator to your account then, try contacting trion and see if they can do anything about it, but don't know anyone who's got hacked that contacted them yet.
I find it dissapointing that you need to pay to even make farms...
I feel like that, while I can imagine it's a bit annoying, they made the right choice when it comes to that. Just try to imagine someone making 20 f2p alts and taking up all the plots for farms and houses. That'd scare away more people from the game than having it be for patrons only.

Just make f2ps have to use private, secluded "plots" and let the founders use the publicly visible ones
you guys forget their whole business model in giving people the game for free is to hook you into paying for shit. If they gave major services for free they wouldn't get much income out of it
Well if you're gonna have private plots then there's no reason for there to be any public ones at all. I guess they decided on a limited number of spots to give some worth to being able to safely farm stuff, still giving players the ability to plant their stuff down basically anywhere else but at the risk of other people taking it if they're not careful enough adds a certain tension to the game.

[editline]18th September 2014[/editline]
Adventure or harpoon clipper?
adventure has cannon, better for doing defensive stuff like tradepacks, harpoon clipper has harpoon launcher, better for piracy and general nonsense.
TBH you don't NEED a farm, I had a farm in alpha I never used, I have 3 plots of land on live that I don't use either. It's too slow for me so I rather plant out in the open and get a ton of materials quick.
you guys forget their whole business model in giving people the game for free is to hook you into paying for shit. If they gave major services for free they wouldn't get much income out of it
GW2 has clearly shown that you don't need to sell major features (or have a montly payment system at all) to make a lot of money. Generally, the F2P games that do charge for major features are the ones that don't get as popular.
You aren't locked out of farming though, it's just a bit more risky.

AA does not charge you to start an account and relies wholly on your decision to pay to improve your quality of life and/or drop a few bucks on a currently limited shop of cosmetic junk

I would be willing to bet that about a third of the game's population is founders, so that's a fairly good amount of money.

Also I'm not f2p, but do they have 2k labor cap, or is it at 5k? Also 50g is completely viable to get per month, so stock up on apex incase it goes up in price F2P people.

They also gave out enough free gems for various reasons to get a few things for free. I played GW2 for over a year, had multiple lvl 80s, did basically all the content in the game, and spent less than $20 on the shop without having any problems.
Good thing you don't HAVE to spend 15 bucks a month they, ey?
Good thing you don't HAVE to spend 15 bucks a month they, ey?
Why do people say this as if it has anything to do with a payment system being a good one or not? The whole point is that by doing it differently they would give more freedom to F2P players and probably make even more money, as shown by basically every extremely successful, long lasting, F2P game out there.
