Instead of a queue being maybe an hour like it should be, it's close to 10 because three thousand people are trying to squeeze into an already full server that nobody leaves because they don't want to be in a queue for 10 hours

Well, I just found out that there's apparently no way to move a character from an NA server to an EU one. This shatters my initial plan of building a character on Ezi, and then, if I like the game enough, pay to get it moved to an EU server once they've solved their queue-time problems on those. So now I've got to decide whether I should stay on the NA servers permanently, or if I should try my luck and buy Patron to see if that reduces the queue times to the extent that they're not ridiculous at least. I'm kind of worried that the latencies I get on the NA servers will screw me over later on

Still playing QueueAge. I'll probably start playing next month I guess when things settle down.

Is there any NA server where gross faction imbalance isn't already noticeable? West is pretty much most of the population on Naima, it seems.

It's not worth playing on NA servers, not only will you have to contend with latency issues (kiss goodbye to enjoyable PVP), you'll have to deal with completely out-of-sync timezones, meaning you'll have to sacrifice sleep to get some enjoyable Guild activities in (which isn't worth it imo, staying up till 4am just to have some fun with your guild is silly). EU is definitely better for you, even though queue times suck and lack of servers and the fact you'll have to start over. I was gonna make a character on NA but ultimately I know I'll wanna be on EU, so I haven't bothered.

After spending 3 days queueing and starting out at 4500 people. Waiting 4-5 hours at a time to get into the game, I caved and bought a month of patron. The queue of 3 people when I tried to connect was the most amazing feeling.
