As an almost completely free player myself, i bought patron with in game currency called APEX, where two of them can get you a month of p2p status. I bought an auction house license with money, spending a total of 5 bucks, and questing/farming got me the rest of the money for apex. Even as a free player w/o patron, its a lot of fun. But your missing out on some cool features.

Why is it everytime I get near a town or a node full of intractable NPCs my game just starts chugging real hard where game would freeze up everytime I would sway the camera around. I participated in my first war and well... it wasn't very enjoyable in my experience since the sheer mass of players freezes my game and I can't do anything to fightback... The game runs completely fine at about 60fps if I were to be walking around on the terrain questing killing mobs and such.

Really want to get the fishing boat, the 250 gilda's is some serious coin but the fact that you need (iirc) two thunderstruck tree's is just a kick in the dick.

Just not accessible or anything. I took it as they REALLY wanted to sell Founder Packs and went as far as selling them on Steam, but not having the game accessible from it.

Having to pay to be able to sell on the auction house doesn't really faze me that much. Its pretty much standard procedure in F2P games to hinder people from using it as a means of laundering/receiving money bought from gold selling sites/bot farms/etc. Gonna get it myself after I take care of my monthly bills and such because my experience trying to buy/sell things via chat in Anarchy Online was mind numbingly dull.

So my first non-quest trade run was nuts. Decided to do it solo. Sanddeep - Cinderstone Moor route. Slightly panicking, I immediately stealth and despawn my boat, swimming deep under the water. I guess they didn't know what stealth did, because I was able to escape. And right at the edge of this warzone awaited two pirates. They quickly harpoon me and drag me in. The previous strategy of escape did not work as well, as they quickly found me and knocked me down. I thought all was lost, but kept moving foward. At about 1/5 HP, I step inside the safe area, both me and the pirates confused as to why I'm not dead. Just so you guys know in the update today they increased the afk timer so you wont be kicked for being gone for 5 minutes. I don't know the new timer yet.
