Well I started as a Teladi with the Nividum Horizon start.
I had 6 sectors that I spent most of my first hours in and did most of my trading in the starting system, I think it was Atropos II.
Just sell energy cells to the various Tech stations and you'll have built up enough money to get Trade Mark 3 from the Shipyard 2 sectors up and then just turn on Sector Trade in Atropos 2 and just explore the rest of the universe for a while.
I kept repeating this method with new traders and soon had 50 UT's and about 150 Million credits being made every 8 hours with SETA 10x on.
I juts don't get the aim of it though :saddowns:

Just building up a lot of money, buying a fleet and then blowing stuff up is pretty much the end-game.

Buying one can cost about 20-30 million.
OK so i have 1 ore mine(Ringo moon) 1 cattle ranch(argon prime) 3 ship including mine 2 mercury 1 Iguana vanguard and 611,234 credits left...what to do? how do i get the process started on profit?
Just keep them supplied with resources and make sure that the AI is buying stuff from you.
If you go into the Command Menu of the station and click on one of the functions to set it will let you see what ships are inbound to the station and what they are doing which is quite useful.
Most people try and do closed complexs though where the stations are connected and making the resources without any AI traders selling resources to you, just buying your products, so it saves money in the long run.
To be honest I wouldn't have bought my first station until I've got like 10 UT's going about.

Doesn't have the BBS System that gave you news about the universe but you can add it back in with a mod.
Apart from that I can't think of anything it took out apart from the storyline.
Oh yea and they changed Argon Distillery's so the station itself is illegal to make and not just transporting the Space Fuel so don't built it unless you want an M2 on your doorstep.

I've gotten two delivery missions so far and have no idea how to do them
am I supposed to already have what they want? If I'm supposed to pick it up, how? I've been asked to transport 300 units of space weed (lol) and some ship but I couldn't figure either of them out

I didn't have the money to repair and outfit it, so I sold it to fully concentrate on my nova, which has now racked up about 2 dozen kills.

Love using Springblossoms as escorts and seeing them fly by at 360 speed decimating every M3 and every fighter with those starburst cannons.
And and nothing short of an M2/M1 can withstand my carrier full of Spitfyres.
