Not sure how I feel about the carnival tbh. Maybe it's just because I hate prop hunts.
So, what about the Square Enix CEO Boss battle thing? Is it part of the carnival?

I just did one of those annoying post-game dungeons and once I was done I was like "hey lets return to entrance quickly", so I press options, and press return to title without saving, like the stupid moron I am. Fuck.

This isn't FFXV related, but there doesn't seem to be a FF7 megathread or even a general Final Fantasy megathread in this section, so I'm just going to post this here: https://hypebeast.com/2017/1/final-fantasy-vii-20th-anniversary-remake-teaser-955
In celebration of the game’s 20-year anniversary (it dropped on January 31, 1997) and the series’ ongoing 30th anniversary festivities, Square Enix offered up a “key visual” from the remake earlier today. In what essentially looks like a hi-res still from 2005′s CG Final Fantasy VII film, Advent Children, Cloud appears alongside his trusty Buster Sword with the Shinra Building in the background — a not-so-subtle nod to the game’s original box art. Sadly, however, the image was all Square Enix offered up — a new trailer is nowhere in sight and no new info for the game was volunteered by the developer, either.
[t]https://i1.wp.com/hypebeast.com/image/2017/01/final-fantasy-vii-20th-anniversary-remake-teaser-2.jpg?w=1600[/t]
Final Fantasy XV Cup Noodle Helmet DLC (free) is up on US PSN https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/games/addons/final-fantasy-xv-outfit-noodle-helmet/cid=UP0082-CUSA01633_00-CUPNOODLE0000001 EU PSN https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-gb/games/addons/outfit-noodle-helmet/cid=EP0082-CUSA01615_00-CUPNOODLE0000001 from @Wario64 https://twitter.com/Wario64/status/903272119332569088 [T]http://i64.tinypic.com/rhiqtg.jpg[/T]
It's in beta right now, but if you have the season pass / deluxe edition and Playstation Plus or Xbox Live Gold, you can download the multiplayer. It's basically just testing the gameplay and online servers with a few hunts, and a glimpse at the avatar customization (which would be surprisingly in-depth if it actually had more options), but the final version will have a singleplayer storyline too. And it seems to have a story purpose too. While I have no clue if they'll bother explaining why the protagonist has the Noctis warping and weapon summoning, [sp]it seems to kick off early into the ten-year timeskip that would gradually blot out the sun and cause daemons to overrun the world.[/sp]
Just picked up this game and I just hit chapter 3. I'm trying to do some side quest things but every time I put my toe in the wilderness the imps drop like 12 guys with guns on my head and even though I'm the same level as them they manage to 3-4 shot my party. Am I doing something wrong here? Dodging doesn't seem to help from the hailstorm of bullets.

Random Imperial fights are a lot tougher than the scripted early game ones, and if you just keep running their drop zones will never really keep up with you. And a tip for running; if you sprint along using the button rather than just setting in auto-sprint, every time the bar's about to run out and Noctis is returning to his slower animation, release it and you'll refill the entire stamina gauge and can keep doing this to just sprint as much as necessary.
Demo for the Windows version came out today. Runs pretty well on high on my system.
If only I had sound. Setting other bit or kHz almost made me deaf because it screeched distorted noise on one setting (16bit 44kHz). Had same issue in the Benchmark, SE didn't fix it yet. I do not use a 5.1 headset, I just use stereo.
pre-load is up, its 75GB so not so bad
pre-load is up, its 75GB so not so bad
Now I play the waiting game for my GMG code.
apparently you can launch the origin preload with the demo exe and the steam forums are losing there mind because it includes denuvo
Yup. Origin preload is non encrypted
apparently you can launch the origin preload with the demo exe and the steam forums are losing there mind because it includes denuvo
Understandably, Denuvo is insidious shit and including it on top of steam is just peak idiocy. A real shame considering that Squeenix has been knocking everything else out of the park with this port.
In preparation for diving back into XV, I decided to finally beat 13. Not only is the "open" part of the game a fucking joke, the game just wastes your time in the final area. It's just... not great. I started up XIII-2 and, hilariously, the game completely retcons the ending of 13. Like, the entire final sequence from 13 apparently DIDN'T HAPPEN
Understandably, Denuvo is insidious shit and including it on top of steam is just peak idiocy. A real shame considering that Squeenix has been knocking everything else out of the park with this port.
Square-Enix has been including Denuvo in just about every other major product they put out, as has a lot of triple-A publishers. Yeah, they fucked up by not having it on the store page until yesterday, but seriously, why would anyone not expect this to not have it?
What's wrong with Denuvo again? I know people say it eats framerate but DOOM had it and it ran flawlessly.
After annoying my friends list for hours relaunching the game a few hundred times I've conquered that annoying dithering-esque terrain blending effect. (Full screens: original vs. medium ("40x")) Not releasing before I test this in more than one scene (well, and the benchmark) and do some other cleanup stuff and actually have the full game to test with, but shouldn't take too long after that. (Incidentally, can someone with the Origin preload tell me how big their "datas/shader/shadergen/autoexternal.earc" file is?)
is there a way to preload the high rez textures?
Here we go, it's time! Also here's the steam workshop, that's where the HEV suit and crowbar is: http://steamcommunity.com/app/637650/workshop/
where do you turn off auto highlights?
I started up comrades... Woof that performance
This game bluescreened my PC for the first time ever and took the sound card with it, thankfully I still have an integrated one left :v: (I know it's probably not the game's fault but it was kinda funny how I was so excited for it and then immediately a part of my PC died)
I started up comrades... Woof that performance
Is woof good or bad performance Anyone try out the mod tools yet? I'm holding off buying this again until I see some interesting mods
i think performance is pretty good i have everything on highest 1440p and get 60 fps keyboard mouse controls are a bit weird
i get some weird flickering issues on shadows on some cutscenes, it's pretty random but not common and not a huge deal other than that im running max settings with all the fancy nvidia stuff at 1440p on a 1080ti and i7 6700k and it runs 60+ fps consistently
