I've found myself wrapped up in completing just about every other quest I can.. in Chapter 3. I was expecting getting to the story mission area to start things on, but it didn't. Now i'm sitting on 49k of experience points and trying to do some more stuff at level 22 so I can use the Galdin 2x inn to power level. Also the Royal Arms can give you some surprisingly good stat boosts if you have them in a Gear slot, even if you're not using them.

Level 10 Quest to disarm traps. Level 40 Coeurls stand in the quest area. What the fuck
Aranea is the only girl for me.
Ending. [sp]I'm really glad I didn't choose the picture of Gladio shitting in a bush[/sp]
that final boss was dope as hell, good fight SE you did it [editline]3rd December 2016[/editline] it even redeemed chapter 13 which is impressive [editline]3rd December 2016[/editline]
Ending. chapter 13 was so awful. it started off pretty neat, i liked [sp]traversing this abandoned facility by myself and banishing demons to the void with my big dick ring,[/sp] but it all quickly fell apart [sp]once you had to stealth around the robots. as soon as they spot you the game just falls apart. how did they playtest this and think "yes, this is enjoyable" ?[/sp] everything was just so badly designed, and it dragged on for so long. i think the game quickly redeemed itself [sp]after talking to bahamut and waking up 10 years in the future with a beard though (my crew's reaction to seeing my after a decade was oddly underwhelming though).[/sp] this game's weird inconsistent quality just really throws me off. my opinion sways drastically between "this is garbage" to "this is really good". i just don't know what to think. the chapter i'm at now starts off really strong so hopefully the game will end on a high note.
If it was like 2/3rds as long it would have been fine. atmospherically it worked, and it's the chapter where the story sort of starts to make sense??? it's just WAY too fucking long
oh cool just booted up my ps4 to find out my data is corrupted and everything is gone guess i won't know how it ends for a while

Only by like four levels but it still felt like a breeze. I was kinda hoping for it to be a bit more challenging but I guess that's on me in this case. Still, good fight, good ending, good game. The bad thing, apart from the obvious chapter 13, was the underdeveloped characters. The fire guy was dope but I feel like I totally missed who it was. Where was he even mentioned in the game?[/sp]
So.. is there any free roam after beating the main story?
according to reviews yes
So.. is there any free roam after beating the main story?
Yes, you can go back. I just came back from completing the several hours long platforming/pussle dungeon. Platforming in a game not built for platforming. Yes, it is as annoying as it sounds.

Stealth makes no sense in this game, when "Oh they're super powered in this area"... but they are just wiped out instantly by my guys. Also holy FUCK how did this game launch with the performance you get in the second area.
I want to know what chapters have points of no return or wherever the linearity really begins so I don't go too far before I complete what I can. Without story spoilers of course.

Everything carries over as well so it's possible to go back and level up a bit if you end up being too weak for the later bosses.
Prompto caught Noctis in a t pose [t]http://i.imgur.com/gz6MMv8.jpg[/t]
oh cool just booted up my ps4 to find out my data is corrupted and everything is gone guess i won't know how it ends for a while
That's really shitty, I could try uploading my save file near the end of the game, but it's 630mb. Dunno if they even work between profiles
I'm level 22 and sitting on 49k of EXP, i'm wondering how much more I should do before I go to Galdin for 2x resting boost.
I'm level 22 and sitting on 49k of EXP, i'm wondering how much more I should do before I go to Galdin for 2x resting boost.
You should just bank in as much as possible (until you run out of stuff to do / you just want to move on) Once you do that, the rest of the game becomes incredibly effortless, save for a few hunts. As a point of reference for recommended level, Chapter 4 is around lv21~26
I've been going slow due to multitasking various things but each time I play and run around this area Prompto keeps singing about wanting to ride a chocobo and I want to murder him shut up I get it stoP

This game took a pretty serious turn at chapter 9 and the chapters after that too. God damn.
Well, it's not much of a spoiler given the whole E3 footage and all, but Chapter 4's [sp]Titan fight was just kind of pathetic, although I am admittedly very overleveled as stated above. Holding square nullifies most of the damage you take, and the few hits he did get on me due to being reckless or occupied essentially didn't do all that much when I have a Strength focused build and the jacketless fatigues. They pretty much showcased the entire battle, just not the plot leading up to it, and the low difficulty of it is really a testament to their live demo players sucking balls.[/sp]
So, I'm at Chapter 9, are they serious [sp]when they say I can't return to Altissia? This city is humongous but I only did like one thing before hitting up the embassy[/sp]
So all-in-all, would you guys recommend this game? I think it looks gorgeous, but I can't tell how it feels from a video
It's a over-ambitious feeling game held together with tape and somewhat frustrating mechanics that somehow manages to be pretty fun despite that. I like it but there's some pretty funny technical hiccups with the AI/NPC's and (at least as far as I am) it really doesn't feel like a Final Fantasy game in the slightest.
Combat, like 40 hours in, still doesn't fucking make sense to me.
A checkpoint system for the last chapter would be really handy
A checkpoint system for the last chapter would be really handy
iirc there are two rooms where you could rest and save, which you should really do for the one before you enter the final gate. Unless you are talking about in between the phases of final boss fight, then~~ well, don't die!
