Could you share the basic .bsg for the track, I want to figure out how to make my own
Ill put it up when I get home
the fuck i leave the thread for a few days and come back and people have created some sort of a black hole device and harnessed it to create things i didn't even know was possible
HFGL!
no I have the basis down, it's just i can't come up with anything awesome or clever, it's just... here's a car with a cannon, here's a box with spinning blades that waits for dudes to run into it to die, etc. especially looking at some of the stuff in this thread makes me feel dumb as hell. i can't even figure out how to do a plane.
tested that shit to confirm what I read on /v/ fireball gives more torque, spikeball more lift
nah
It seems to me that the grabber->ball(flame or spike)<-grabber design is good because the grabbers have unstoppable grip and the balls are unbreakable. The spinning force of the blades can then pull objects without the connection snapping.
Engines made of sawblades and bombs, spike balls, or flaming balls. Guys. They're engines powered by edginess. Or would it be metal-ness? I guess it depends on context. Meanwhile, the only thing I can make is a crappy UFO.
okay okay okay we all understand the chaos engine is god's presence on earth but there's probably more than a few plebs here too embarrassed to ask- how do you build it from scratch? Biggest obstacle is stacking the sawblades, which I cannot for the life of me figure out

Then you replace each wheel with a saw one by one from top to bottom etc.
-i was never here-
ohhhhhh. Thanks but now I feel like a clown because I somehow scrolled past this video without watching it.
I'm having trouble believing it'd amount to the same level of torque, gotta test it later with two rockets or something. For now, more chaos engine porn:
The first second of music told me this was going to be fucking spectacular
Any .bsgs to share guys?! [editline]5th February 2015[/editline] Sold all of my steam trading cards and had enough money at the end of it to buy this!
So it doesn't even need the fireball? I was wondering about that...

I'd link the .bsg but my dropbox went offline because I apparently shared too many Besiege webms lol
So it doesn't even need the fireball? I was wondering about that...
uh yeah for the flames???????
The power of the sun, in the palm of my hands.
They also have significant mass.
Makes me wonder if our sun's part of one great big cosmic chaos engine.
the earth spins around it with massive torque, right? I think we're onto something
The Chaos engine explains it all, from the moment of the creation to the inevitable end. Also I'm theorizing building a chaos engine hovercraft but I'll probably screw up
geeeeaaaarrrrrrrrs
a weapon to surpass metal geeeeaaaarrrrr
I'm surprised nobody made a rube goldberg style machine yet. or I just haven't found any.
[vid]http://puu.sh/fx80R.webm[/vid] My first chaos engine contraption
Welp. Did it [t]http://i.imgur.com/cN87xs5.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/VluNPzw.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/x7ycqKQ.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/mSa4Pu0.jpg[/t] Few things I learned 1) Double Treads are the way to go. You actually risk detracking far too often with single treads. Cannot go up a hill at any angle other than perfectly perpendicular to the slope. 2) Tracks do not need to be unbreakable. The metal covers them just fine. 3) Simulation speed for assembling tracks and operating cannot be 100%. Way too demanding. Assemble at 40% and run at a maximum of 80%. 4) Doing tracks this way is totally worth it. No slack to speak of Have a download link So, for anyone looking to use this thing, it isn't exactly straightforward. Numpad 1 2 3 4 control the springs to get the track in place. Tap the first two (1 and 2) as hitting the tank to hard will knock it off center/break it. Make sure to hold each one until they completely stop moving towards the spring end point. Numpad 5 is for pulling the track together. If they don't quite reach (hold it for a couple of seconds) press the up arrow and [ to move the tracks forward until you hear the grabbers click into place. Hit j to release the tank from the moorings, and use ' and down arrow to move out. Make sure that you hold 1 2 and 3 down while until you press number 5. After this, when moving out, make sure to lift up 2 as it will otherwise may get stuck in the tracks. You can do 1 as well. It can pivot turn, but be gentle with it. I will be working on a double track version of this tomorrow which will have much better stability, and the track equipping frame will be much less intrusive. Oh yes, and 5) Flamethrowers make the best track guides.
I'm still not read to handle the power of the chaos engine

I just bought this and I love it
geeeeaaaarrrrrrrrs
Now I want to see somebody recreate Mousetrap
woah, I forgot all about mousetrap it was the best my dad made me throw it away because my cat pissed in the box's lid [editline]6th February 2015[/editline] if we could have a cheat similar to the fire starting one, but that lets you click and drag objects around, that would be more feasible that said, i would loath such an addition; i like being forced to not touch anything, putting emphasis on the building phase
