Have you tried using the chaos engine?
i've yet to find a way to implement the chaos engine into a slingshot without turning the slingshot into the projectile
to be fair, chaos engine is a really cool phrase
i've yet to find a way to implement the chaos engine into a slingshot without turning the slingshot into the projectile
In that case use the chaos engine as the projectile. Stick some bombs on there too for good measure.
In regards to chaos engines, the saws provide the rotation, but whats the fireball for?
See here
i've yet to find a way to implement the chaos engine into a slingshot without turning the slingshot into the projectile
[vid]http://a.pomf.se/krktsp.webm[/vid] Something like this? The loaded fireball is just for show. (not mine)

Everyone gotta have a Ponsse Edit: Smallening the pictures one minute
I so much prefer seeing videos of these
How would you change Fraps videos to webm?
How would you change Fraps videos to webm?
webm for retards works for me. Also, idk if this is new, but apparently you can lock blocks at a certain height? [t]http://a.pomf.se/gwzyax.jpg[/t] [t]http://a.pomf.se/zrylhp.jpg[/t] I was messing around with a design in which some blocks are placed at a half-distance from each other by using wheels (which are a half block thick). The section on the left was where three of those parts were meeting. For some reason the game let me place a double wooden block between all of them and the new center of the section became utterly unimpressed by gravity.
I've decided to try and be more creative.
My friend gifted this to me the other day and I played all of it last night. It is so fucking fun. Anyone have tips (or a guide actually, just a basic vehicle) for making helicopters and planes?
Helicopters work best in quad-copter designs, with flying blocks used for both getting in the air and steering. Bind them to different keys, and just mess around until it works. Planes are a bit more difficult. I don't have a good answer on that.
So I finished the ipslon maps but I keep seeing other maps in videos and pictures. How do I get them?
[vid]http://puu.sh/fxYDn.webm[/vid] please don't make a post like this if you build the propeller on the wrong side
What is wrong with mine? Oh, silly me. Thanks!
Has anyone been experimenting with making brakes for the Chaos Engine?
Has anyone been experimenting with making brakes for the Chaos Engine?
I know last night I saw thing where someone made one hanging over a holder, with the block attached to the first sawblade being a piston; when they wanted it to stop, they just dropped the fireball, then extended the piston to start it back up.

You people are fucking lunatics.
Right, basing the brakes off of a design posted above, I think I managed to make a good one. [t]http://puu.sh/fBcgX/3643782a40.jpg[/t] As you can see, instead of having just 1 set of steers so it closes onto the fireball, I have two. [t]http://puu.sh/fBcpb/89d73a2f05.jpg[/t] You can push the plows onto the fireball to stop it. But if it doesn't stop, you can do this. [t]http://puu.sh/fBcxJ/1e8d9d4048.jpg[/t] It's a bit hard to see but the fireball is disconnected from the grabber. By using the plow as a holder, you can disconnect the fireball without it burning your vehicle. However, when testing this out I realized it wouldn't reconnect by itself, which is why I put another set of steering hinges on. This allows the plow to move front to forward. Allowing you to move the fireball back in place with ease, though the downside is which can be fixed easily is that it tends to fall out if you make it so the plows go far back. [t]http://puu.sh/fBcPV/5380736700.jpg[/t] Here you can see I have successfully grabbed the fireball after using the plows to move it. It does not stop the saws from powering the fans but it does make it slower. Anyway I need some help, does my Chaotic engine seem fine? I can't for the life of me make it go faster. Using the wheels is faster. I had it working by accident yesterday and I have yet to recreate it.
So i'm sort of trying to recreate this And boy am i failing horribly :v: [t]http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/27355508706244938/7B163DE194D0043289D19B70C73C26B51B40C1F2/[/t] It just looks like an ugly mess of wings and flying blocks I'm having tons of fun trying to keep it flying though I've given up trying to make it look like the flying snake colossus and now i'm just going for "really long and can actually stay in the air for a reasonable period of time" Edit: I didn't think people would actually find it artsy, but since you did, have another shot of the thing [t]http://cloud-2.steamusercontent.com/ugc/27355508706243853/42DAB2C2B8536CCC70E45674FF8CA956FFBC413F/[/t] And i worked a little bit more on it and took the time to take a decent screenshot [t]http://i.imgur.com/8udGjhH.jpg[/t]

Its a shame that wings work by applying an lift only when moving forward. I would love to make an ornithopter in this.
[vid]http://foxcock.me/web/images/Besiege%2002.07.2015%20-%2017.34.48.06.webm[/vid] pistons are great for powering and braking the engine, but it can't support any weight at all and still spin anywhere near quickly (can't even add propellers)
What if you add a spinning block at the end of it?
Does anyone know how I can improve my flying car? I got the game a few days ago, but I'm still struggling to understand the flight physics http://imgur.com/N7VBEZG
A lot of us are having trouble too, but from what I've learnt, Chaotic Engine is the best way to go with flying.
