So i'm sort of trying to recreate this And boy am i failing horribly :v: [t]http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/27355508706244938/7B163DE194D0043289D19B70C73C26B51B40C1F2/[/t] It just looks like an ugly mess of wings and flying blocks I'm having tons of fun trying to keep it flying though I've given up trying to make it look like the flying snake colossus and now i'm just going for "really long and can actually stay in the air for a reasonable period of time" Edit: I didn't think people would actually find it artsy, but since you did, have another shot of the thing [t]http://cloud-2.steamusercontent.com/ugc/27355508706243853/42DAB2C2B8536CCC70E45674FF8CA956FFBC413F/[/t] And i worked a little bit more on it and took the time to take a decent screenshot [t]http://i.imgur.com/8udGjhH.jpg[/t]
please take a video of it flying and then use the ignite cheat under the options pane to burn it in flight [editline]7th February 2015[/editline] if you have a nvidia 660 or greater you can use shadowplay to record it effortlessly with no fps penalty
please take a video of it flying and then use the ignite cheat under the options pane to burn it in flight [editline]7th February 2015[/editline] if you have a nvidia 660 or greater you can use shadowplay to record it effortlessly with no fps penalty
I have never tried making a video, ever, but i'll try, give me some time.
Better yet, giff .bsg and we'll help :)
I don't want anyone to know how fucking horrible i am at making controls for stuff. Like, seriously, i didn't even bother to make something polished for other people to use or even a reasonable design, i just went on adding shit that i thought would help with moving the thing. Though after looking around on how to make videos, i think it'll be just simpler to upload the bloody thing and let you guys screw around with the contraption. So fuck it, here you go Controls are: up arrow goes forward, right and left are roll, numpad 5 pitches up, numpad 2 pitches down, 1 and 3 yaw left and right Yaw is currently too weak, i haven't fixed that yet. The thing's nose does not stay level for too long if you don't pitch up oftenly, if not constantly. For some reason the tip of the tail tends to twist and stay stuck like that sometimes, i have no idea why the fuck it does that. Also the tail tends to get left behind and you may have a LOT of trouble keeping the tail from hitting the ground. It aint as pretty to fly as it is too look at, so sorry for that. Let me know if you actually manage to do anything with it, i'd be happy to see it. I'm a little ashamed of sharing such a broken thing but hey at least now you guys can try and fix it if you want. I can try making a video again tomorrow if you wish, since i'm more or less used to flying it. Let me know if i screwed up the upload.

How can I disable the 60fps cap?
I'm guessing you can't. You could suggest it to the developers though.
Does anyone know how I can improve my flying car? I got the game a few days ago, but I'm still struggling to understand the flight physics http://imgur.com/N7VBEZG
Add flying blocks to the front, back, and side of the car and bind them to different keys (use the wrench on the top).
I made a video for you!
This made me smile from ear to ear Thank ye.
Guys, I think I discovered another type of power. Though it's probably been found before, but for those who don't know I will post it anyway. [t]http://puu.sh/fD00Z/5d1f441957.jpg[/t] Kinda like the Chaotic Engine, I have saws, two spinning blocks and 2 Swivel Joints. But unlike the Chaotic Engine, I am not using the grabbers or a fireball. But instead I am using the spawn block, Hinges and the power of no collision. [t]http://puu.sh/fD0j3/43198b8266.jpg[/t] Here you can see the spawn block with the hinges up closer, and closing in on the block. [t]http://puu.sh/fD0mz/0c41db62d5.jpg[/t] And here you can see the hinges colliding with the spawn block. Now there are some differences between the Chaotic Engine and what I call, the Block Engine, as it works with any Block (though I haven't tried it with the 2 x 1 block). Now the speeds, well the Chaotic Engine is faster of course. But you have to make your own brake and half of the time, it can get complicated and bulky. But with the Block Engine, you can stop it by un-colliding the hinges. And as a side-effect, if you go to far in colliding them, you can make the vehicle reverse, which is another thing the Chaotic Engine can't do unless modified. It is fragile since you are messing with Collision, but I think it's nice and a good alternative to the Chaotic Engine if you don't want to make something fast or Chaotic.
Stuck on the last level. Every idea i have turns into a giant flying bomb, but enough of the castle escapes unharmed that It doesn't succeed regardless of how big the explosion is.
try more bombs
Finally got it. Didn't realize you could delete parts to get the grabber to hold bombs from the start. That made things much easier :v:
Really wish this game had a Windowed Fullscreen mode.
Really wish this game had an inbuilt record function. I end up just skipping pasts all these long detailed posts with screenshots if they don't have a video to show what they're talking about
Bougth the game the other day and, holy shit, i'm having so much fun. Pistons are the best thing ever.

To so many people (mostly lmao pics): It's Besiege. Not Besieged
Useful, being said in this thread.
Whats the best way to counter the torque effects of chaos engine/stacked wheel engine? I'm trying to make a plane, but the engine just causes the whole plane to roll uncontrollably. [editline]8th February 2015[/editline]
Has anyone been experimenting with making brakes for the Chaos Engine?
I just put steering blocks on the propellers and use variable pitch to slow it down
i am not a clever man... but i get things done [vid]http://a.pomf.se/wgtzzd.webm[/vid]
i am not a clever man... but i get things done [vid]http://a.pomf.se/wgtzzd.webm[/vid]
ALLAHU ACKBAR
i am not a clever man... but i get things done
I conquered the first 6 or so zones with variants of suicide vehicles. Now I'm on the tower and have no idea how to make a basic catapult :v:
I conquered the first 6 or so zones with variants of suicide vehicles. Now I'm on the tower and have no idea how to make a basic catapult :v:
Just use cannons. Massive amounts of cannons. [t]http://i.imgur.com/44txFSO.jpg[/t] My first chaos engine powered plane. Stacked wheel engines have a better TWR I think. This has to use the small propeller things for additional lift, but this doesn't seem to have the torque effect that made my stacked wheel design unflyable. also, impressive stuff from the latest /v/ thread [vid]http://i.4cdn.org/v/1423421350903.webm[/vid] [vid]http://i.4cdn.org/v/1423416964182.webm[/vid]

Last time I heard this game was about killing peasants :v:
Me besiege copy just updated. Anyone know what it is? [editline]8th February 2015[/editline] Boulder, Half Pipe, Unpowered Wheel, Unpowered Medium Cog, Powered Medium Cog. I think that's it. [editline]8th February 2015[/editline] Windowed option. Though I think I may have missed that from before. Not sure though.

Boulders are amazing. Now you can make lighter chaos engines without setting everything on fire.
