BIG DISCLAIMER: if you start the simulation at 100% speed the rotor shafts have a tendency to shear themselves, so start it at 0% and ease the slider up to 100% (pls add variable sawblade speeds, devs). [editline]a[/editline] Also, any ideas on better ways to control pitch than those cheaty spiral whatsits are appreciated :v:

It uses pistons in place of certain wood blocks given that pistons are a lot less liable to break and it uses one set of propellers in place of wing panels so they can be rotated without fear of smashing into things. [vid]http://a.pomf.se/avlpes.webm[/vid] My model doesn't include a bomb bay, but I'm sure it could support one if I wanted it to. I'm also running it at 50% speed in my video, but that's just to achieve a semi-decent framerate, it actually runs fine at 100%, even from the get go.

I'm also running it at 50% speed in my video, but that's just to achieve a semi-decent framerate, it actually runs fine at 100%, even from the get go.[/QUOTE] I tried the same thing with a few different blocks, but couldn't get anything to connect to everything properly at the time and I really couldn't be fucked re-placing all of the rotor blades to get it to work, seeing as it was like 1AM at the time :v: Issue I had with the prop blades was that you can only rotate them one direction, and I wanted to get some contra-rotation going on to counter torque.

Put the spikes on Pistons, makes them kill much better. [editline]12th February 2015[/editline] You could use a piston to increase the distance between the wheels and make the tracks less wobbly, p. cool tho.
