So I pretty much made a functional traditional counterweight trebuchet but I can't get the sling right, using elastic as "rope" causes the boulder to be pulled into the arm and rigging a solid sling won't be strong enough without tearing the thing apart. I hope they include a rope soon, and a winch would be fantastic so that elastic-based artillery can be drawn with more control than insta-pistons.
I found this one on youtube
This guy used to post on Facepunch didn't he?

Okay guys, a question; does anybody manage to get Chaos Engines with 3 or more blades working without invincibility and/or decreased timescale? Because I told myself I won't abuse either to get my things stable and I still can't get anything useful powered by a chaos engine.

Based on an anon's design, for the record. Fuckton of braces + non-wood blocks (it's pretty much all decouplers) seem to work pretty well.

Would you guys be interested in a friendly competition where you have to build a machine that can accomplish a set task in a fastest time possible? I realize how vague I'm being but I've got a very specific idea for a pretty simple competition that would be graded on how quick it could be accomplished and I don't want to let on too much. [editline]16th February 2015[/editline] Also, pretty cool engine design here, I don't know if it has been done before but a friend and I put it together It has varying speeds which makes it really useful for vertical lift/descend

How's it built/arranged? I tried it, but it doesn't seem to be as stable as in the video; are there certain ways the rotors and hinges need to be aligned? (i.e. top rotor spinning differently to the bottom one, or the hinges swinging opposite/in tune with their base rotor, etc.)

I was just thinking, I wish we could abuse physics in real life like we do in this game to make vehicles.
I was just thinking, I wish we could abuse physics in real life like we do in this game to make vehicles.
I don't. I'd like to use my car without fear of it shattering violently into a million pieces.
Made another bomber plane that can run all the missions c: [img_thumb]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/76413808/Besiege_02_16_2015_10_41_44.png[/img_thumb] Download: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/76413808/bomberman2.bsg Controls: Num 0 - fly Num 8-2-4-6 - steer 1-2-3-4-5 - drop bombs
I was just thinking, I wish we could abuse physics in real life like we do in this game to make vehicles.
We do just that, only we optimize it to the max
how do i make my chaos engines better guys
it's inefficient, soldiers will get stuck in the wheels and supports and never get hit by the blades you need the blades on the outside
I was just thinking, I wish we could abuse physics in real life like we do in this game to make vehicles.
Depends on your perspective I think. Cars are powered by exploding dinosaur bones for instance.
Also, we aren't "abusing" anything, at least with chaos engine. It is powered simply from the spinning blades' torque, which is created from nothing, and that isn't "abusing"
Also, we aren't "abusing" anything, at least with chaos engine. Chaos engine can be simply implied to have extremely powerful source of energy in each of the sawblade stalks, as it at least doesn't break law of action and reaction as there's (quite massive) counter torque against the way the rotor spins.
Well we could argue that this happens because when a part is shifted it tries to get back in the grid by applying the coding magic force (also applicable with elastics on god mode), but who cares honestly :v:
[vid]http://a.pomf.se/dkbkxt.webm[/vid] Marksman's Pass with 7 parts.
You do it with 2 just by attaching a propeller thing to a starting block and flying through. Best I've seen for each: Zone 1: Southern Cottage - 2 Zone 2: Southern Mill - 2 Zone 3: Old Howl Battlefield - 2 Zone 4: Perimeter Wall - 2 Zone 5: The Queen's Fodder - 2 Zone 6: Old Mining Site - 3 Zone 7: Standing Stone - 2 Zone 8: Thinside Fort - 3 Zone 9: Midlands Encampment - 4 Zone 10: Lyre Peak - 2 Zone 11: Hillside Tower - 3 Zone 12: Pine Lumber Site - 3 Zone 13: Solomon's Flock - 3 Zone 14: Marksman's Pass - 2 Zone 15: Wynnfrith's Keep - 3

is it bad that i spend more time looking at what other people make than actually playing the game
That's kind of a shame really, because there's no room for improvement or interesting designs.
Zone 9 is really the only one where improvement is even possible. Most have the bare minimum of one block for motion and a bomb on the levels that require destroying stone walls.

Has anyone created a gun that uses cannons as cartridges, that cycles the action using the recoil of the cannon firing? I'd try it myself but my computer can't run this game.
