Some people have suggested a Toribash-style multiplayer (basically round-based simulation of a few moments in real time) so the physics engine doesn't shit itself, but I'm not sure if the dev has ever commented on that. Might be that Unity just makes it plain impossible for a whole number of basic reasons.
Kinda makes me wish they'd rebuild it with a different engine now that probably tons of people have thrown dosh at it, but that's no small undertaking either.

I just stuck a single balloon with max buoyancy to the top of the starting block. When the block suddenly dropped only to be caught by a rope then pulled at high speed in to the air, all I could do was go "Ohh jesus!" in the weirdest voice ever. Wooden Poles and sliders were also added, and the aerodynamic propeller is now both wood boards and can be inverted.
It even has working sliders.

make a stable base and a stick tower, then spam sliders outward

You can use them to make spoilers that deploy when you drive fast.
In this game, to go fast you don't even need to paint flames on your car, you can have real ones even if you don't want them!
New block idea:
How about a block that works like the split in a grenade or a tripwire trap, when it's pulled hard enough, it will trigger something. Wouldn't even need rope at first, could just be a slider, with that function in it, and a little force requirement to pull it apart at first.
Now that I think about ropes, if they made them collide with stuff, you could also make a whip.. Chains would also be a possibility for creating those mine clearing mechanisms.
Made a simple "clutch" for the chaos engine. Works surprisingly well without invincibility.

Obv nothing special but it can be usefull. You could make it more compact by using a swivel hinge instead of the gear and shrinking each arm by a block like this:

But the grabbers tend to fly off when you do this.
