Quadcopters are really easy to make and fun to fly :v:

Somehow fraps doesn't wanna work with this game. But this little flying machine works really well, it even breathes fire like a dragon.
The trick to make a working airplane is by connecting the rear wings to a hinge to adjust the pitch of your airplane, adding a tail to the same hinge (so it doesn't go left and right when flying) and using the front propellers for steering.
If anyone is interested, you can download the machine and try it out for yourself.
Behold,

flies not that well.
I had a go at making an aeroplane, but the helicopter things don't produce enough thrust, and wheels to drive the propellers create way too much torque (doesn't help that you can't invert props to get contra-rotating blades, to cancel the torque out).

you can up the speed of the propellers with the tool icon

It only goes to 1.25x though, and that's still not enough.
It'd probably work if you just plaster the front of it in them, but it'd be really front-heavy then and also look terrible D:
Theses bastards better let me buy more games tonight or I'm flooding there site with questions why I cant buy games from a website that sells GAMES.
[editline]22nd January 2015[/editline]
These fuckers, I mean holy shit I wait a whole day and I still cant buy anymore? Let the flooding begin.

I made a fire truck.
This game is truly great.
I'll show off some of my designs tomorrow.
You guys need to start sharing some more .bsg files, you all got such fun-looking machines!

Please do this, I'm working as the community manager for besiege and before the next major version we will be compiling a trailer of all the best and wackiest machines that we've seen so far.
I've been keeping an eye on this thread for a number of days and you guys have come up with some brilliant stuff. Would love to put them into the official trailer. This video will be featured on the steam page. :)
Keep it up guys!

My experiments with a zeppelin bomber kinda machine so far. Download-Link for anyone daring to tame the terrible controls:
Arrow keys cross to steer
IJKL cross to rotate
U to decouple from launch pad and grab the bomb
O to fly upwards
P to drop bomb
Haven't managed to complete the run while turning around mid-air so far, the momentum is really difficult to nullify.
I suppose since everyone is sharing.
After messing around with making a ballista yesterday and having clashing issues, I moved onto making rockets.
The first batch of small dumbfire ones fired roughly horizontally, they were naff. So I moved onto vertical ones, where I could use the full on explosive payload and get reasonable range.
It uses basically a giant tilting table to "point" rockets in the direction they head in, generally the shallower you are the further it goes but the worse the accuracy due to the lack of any gyro stabilisation. This can be fired in salvos or all at once.

The next iteration featured an extra flying block per rocket allowing for increased range, you can also decide what to drop on by simply letting off of the propulsion as well.

fairly long range.
I suppose for shits and giggles I'll give you some to mess around with: puu.sh/eVh4B/1439d0f6bb.zip
Controls wise, the MK2S and MK3L use:
Numpad 7,8 4,5 1,2 0,"." to launch and propel each rocket. (the "lowest" rockets should be launched first, otherwise they catch on each other and boom).
The MK2 just uses the default O and J to propel and detach respectively.
for movement it uses tankish steering,
left and right keys held down to go foward, let off one to turn.
Up and down keys move the aiming platform.
Be gentle because it's got explosives onboard!

I made a ballista and the the projectile landed inside of the tower in the sandbox map.
That's gotta be three points right?

Swebonny in video form.
I figured out how to make an engine kek.

I like seeing the creations people make when it does something completely irrelevant to the game. :v:
Probably been done before, but this is literally the first thing I made:

Well... except for the cruise missiles and engine.

Death by reciprocation.
Caved and bought it.

Worth it.
One last one, I promise. First thing that came to me when I got to the sheep level.
