i get a few reactions with this one.....
There's a Tide Pod world with a few avatars. Pretty cancerous and really low quality. I'm very surprised some of these worlds are being allowed.
I would like to remind everyone that it was rumoured the staff initially told Trap-chan the initial creator of Knuckles avatar to remove it from his avatar world due to raiding concerns and hate speech.
Two days later the developers approved Knuckles Avatar World with the exact same model and Uganda a few days later.
The rest is history and it goes to show World approval is absolutely not a priority of the staff at all atm.
Then again memes are free publicity so idk if thats why they keep letting this low quality junk fester the new world section.
Even if it wasnt true that the staff did the initial removal, the fact they approved worlds when people were initially finding them problematic makes the situation silly. No matter if they were the ones removing it or Trap-chan removing it.

Worlds don't really get approved. They are just uploaded and that's it. There is no checking of the content until discovered.

Except the form would tell the staff that it would be problematic. If they cant figure out the idea of a Uganda and Knuckles Avatar World being the name of the worlds and having an issue with it and then exploring the world themselves to realize the issues that could be percieved from making them public.
I assume they just check the forms and then approve them without much care. They probably tripped up and just found it better to not react negatively towards the meme. Besides it gave a population boost for further investment from their investors I assume, so even if there is some negativity memes usually die quickly right? Soo its fine.

Not actually the case. One of the admins and handpicked members of the community go through and make sure that they run decently ("decently" being annoyingly lax) and don't have anything that violates the rules. Believe me, we have been pushing for quality control for a while now with all of the shitpost worlds coming out.

Does it relate to world that will go PUBLIC or also private worlds ?
Does it relate to world that will go PUBLIC or also private worlds ?
Only worlds submitted to a google form checks checked, if it passes the checks it then gets made public. Private worlds are not checked.
I will forever wonder who approved Miyakos photo gallery. Just wtf.

I guarantee I was not on that team.
Are those Runescape avatars available in any world?
So how much does the VRChat community tend to hate furries? :v:
A friend of mine is working on an avatar which is looking pretty good, just wondering how people tend to react.

Considering how many lolis and other things that are often seen offensive to the senses, furries seem pretty low on the totem pole

Probably not any different like how the majority react to furries in general.
Just chill, and have fun. Like Fish_poke just said it's also not that out of place considering what some people are using as avatars.
The game is acting super weird rn
After a while of playing my framerate just DIES, GPU usage goes periodically to 0% and the noises in-game get a weird crackling noise, no idea why this happens
I thought it happened because I disabled turbo-boost on the power saving mode on my laptop but switching to high performance when that happened didnt fix it

Seeing "Furries" around isn't all that unusual, while I'm sure there's the usual "troll" here and there that'll love to shout at them, just gotta block em.
Got plenty of furries in the sort of friend circle I tend to hang out in.

Fair'nuf. I haven't used VRChat for a long while myself. I wanna get back into it eventually, just waiting for my vive controllers to get repaired.
My friend also wants to make me a model too so that'll be fun.

By chance, does your Windows notify you of a video driver crash? A GPU just dying (and then recovering) is often a driver crash, which often happens because your GPU got too hot. Because you're playing on a laptop it can happen if you use GPU-intensive programs or games and if you play constantly it's bound to happen often - I suggest you to invest on a good air cooler if you don't have one. Sometimes Windows doesn't notify of video drivers crashing but afaik what you're describing seems to be one.
Although there's more or less segregation to some worlds.
Asians tend to hang around a tavern called something something kio and that weird polygonal world.
Furries tend to hang at the hyena world.
And so far lolis and memers are everywhere but the biggest groups I've seen of animes I've seen are usually in club worlds.

actually no, i never get them
My GPU is actually decently cool, always below 70°C, its the cpu where at 2.7ghz it gets a bit problematic
MSI Afterburner says max gpu temp was 71°C while max CPU temp was 81°C, I have run that GPU at 90°C and it hasn't given me a driver crash

What GPU does your laptop have? And does the game just hang up for a little while before it gets back to normal?
Edit: actually, before we accidentally flood this with tech support responses, you can PM me about this and I'll try to help you, but no guarantees.
I too actually had my first VR experience today, came over to a friends house and got to mess around in the Oculus. It's nice that you can log into a VRChat account from anywhere and still have access to your avatars. Getting to play around as Fran in VR (Whom Chunkymonkey helped with fixing, bless him) is oddly carthartic.
I do have to ask, for those of you who do have VR Headsets, do they make any that are glasses friendly? I had to play without mine on my friend's Oculus and the strain of trying to see started to hurt after awhile, I was interested in getting the Vive or Oculus, but knowing I might have to buy contacts, get laser surgery, or to just put up with the eyestrain is a bit discouraging.

Vive can fit glasses inside them.

I witnessed a furry dude getting harassed by a guy with a Rick & Morty avatar just for being a furry. I'm not crazy about furries but that's just straight up bullying.
But overall I don't see much of any furries at all, pretty sure VRChat is dominated by weebs mostly.

Good thing it's pretty easy to block people, then.
