[t]https://puu.sh/z5pU8/39c4148847.png[/t] Brand new to unity and 3d model rigging. Any idea why it would be saying it's too short and feet are in the floor? Neither appear to be true; the foot bones of this model are above the ground here.

Unity auto-generates the mesh bounds and usually messes up quite a bit.

First time figuring out how to import models into Unity, and I can't figure out why the transparency on the cape isn't working. I feel like I'm missing something completely obvious. [t]https://i.gyazo.com/bfe3e60b09b363e73ac251ec8ed6688e.png[/t]
Have you tried Standard Shader>Cutout?
You mean switching the Rendering Mode to Cutout? That just makes the whole segment invisible.
chunkymonkey's avatars are quality [t]https://horobox.co.uk/u/m8Kq8d.jpg[/t]
And I'm never gonna fix it even if I figure out what causes that!
Is anyone working on making a Facepunch HQ world of some sorts?

Where you place it in Unity doesn't really make much of a difference. [t]https://i.gyazo.com/fa8f4e2d8c82836eaa170aec2ca76362.png[/t] GOT IT You were right, PikaCommando, I did have to switch it to Cutout. The only problem was that the slider was set to 0.5 by default which made the whole thing invisible, so I had to adjust it until only the outsides of the cape were cut out. [editline]derp[/editline] And of course I bump into another problem. :v: [t]https://i.gyazo.com/c7759b4a60ec13c173ec437f91cd1641.png[/t] Thumbs are pretty fucked, for some reason. Fingers too I guess since I assume they shouldn't be pointing down like that. All the bones in the hands are properly assigned so I'm not sure why they look like that.

Yeah just rotate the tips of them in the rig config until they look right. It should be a fairly painless fix.
Yeah, already fixed it shortly after I posted that, haha. [t]https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/929299235979107651/5353208C0F2C12C572F7972B71DEB45C95B1A0EE/[/t] Importing was a lot more painless than I expected! :dogcited: Although I still need to figure out why the chest puffs out a little. I'm sure it'll be an easy fix as well.

where do you go to minimize russians and anime girls with high pitch voices??
I wonder how hard it'd be to port Cole Phelps into VRChat
I wonder how hard it'd be to port Cole Phelps into VRChat
Face would be the worst, with the technology they use they're pretty much videos playing on their face.
I will forever wonder who approved Miyakos photo gallery. Just wtf.
I went to take a look and found no sexual content. Just the work of someone with very decent photography skills who had a creepy obsession with this anime-styled figurine.
[t]https://i.imgur.com/xaxWaMX.jpg[/t] [t]https://i.imgur.com/a5YpmnT.jpg[/t] I have like ten Big Boss avatars in various clothes by now but Darth Boss is probably my favorite so far Got sounds for drawing the saber, looping hum and sheathing it.

It was just really weird to see. Maybe I overreacted, idk.
I have two questions about VRChat if you make an account: If you log into VRChat using that instead of your Steam Account do you keep all the friends you've made on VRChat on the other account too or is it just the Steam one and if you can can you use your personal avatars on your Steam account?

It is recommended to make a VRChat account immediately. You will need a VRChat account to use Personal Avatars.

Used my brother's Vive just to test how motion tracking worked on my model. Big crow man gonna' fuck you up
So I figured out how to make it so I can give middle fingers (can do both hands but had to do one for screenshot) So the first thing I did was...
holy shit, i spent WAY TOO MUCH time on this avatar. i wanted to import an mmd model into vrchat, so i used tupper's megatutorial that was a blessing straight from god and you should totally use. the first half of the tutorial seemed straightforward; click this, then that, and that, etc. i had no issues until the manual atlasing. i almost had a panic attack just typing that again, fuck. i hated that manual atlasing so much. my 15.4 hours spent in blender for that avatar would be almost cut in half if the manual atlasing wasn't such a problem. i made 4 different attempts trying to manual atlas my model, which is placing all the materials into one material for optimization. first attempt: i thought i lost my 2 hours of progress making the manual atlas until the next morning when i realized i actually hadn't lost the progress. however, when i applied the manual atlas, the textures were too shitty and didn't work properly, so i had to start over again. second attempt: i spent slightly less time working on it than the first attempt, but in the end, i lost all my progress after i did save it, but i didn't save it properly. oh well. third attempt: i spent some more time working on this atlas and all seemed well. but when i applied it, the textures looked like shit again and i realized the resolution i started it with was the wrong resolution. at this point i was fucking livid. fourth attempt: so while i was looking at google maps for the shortest route to the nearest bridge to jump off, i decided to start the fourth attempt at the manual atlas. trying to correct all my mistakes with the previous manual atlas attempts, i made sure all the stuff was equally spaced out and organized and the right parts were larger than others. and after i applied it, finally, FINALLY, it worked and the textures were high quality with no weird overlapping effects of some sort. after this, i finished the rest of the megatutorial without any problems. i finished the blender and unity shit and imported it into vrchat. the avatar didn't load into vrchat no matter how much time i gave it to load. i was getting more and more nervous as time went on because i was afraid the reason it didn't load in was because it was very close to the poly limit (it had 19,233 polys compared to the 20,000 poly limit) and i would have to start over from the very beginning. fortunately, i reuploaded it to vrchat the next day and... SUCCESS! [t]https://i.imgur.com/uY4Gijb.jpg[/t] after severe ball-busting, i managed to import my big titty anime waifu avatar into the game. and it worked amazingly. the height was perfect and the limbs worked perfectly, making the immersion stellar. all the effort was worth it in the end. next time i probably shouldn't be such a dummy in regards to saving progress.
