You could just attach a mask from the TF2 spy (the standalone model is on SFM), scale it up, and add a png/texture to it. [img]https://i.gyazo.com/7ea3e7a800e5b0c0b0475089f14be177.png[/img] ...but in some worlds he's way too dark and can't really even see him. Not sure if there's anything I can do to fix that. Different shaders maybe?

Different shaders maybe?[/QUOTE] My avatar's armor is also a bit of a black void in the Firelink shrine world, some shaders are at the mercy of world creators. Light probes and reflection probes iirc.

You won't get visually similar results outside the game without editing them. To be honest I think they messed up somewhere and just never fixed it.
Reduce the "metalness" and "shininess" of the materials, they sample from nearby reflection probes. If there isn't any they just turn black :/. Alternatively you could just not hang out in worlds that are improperly set up. (d1_trainstation is a good map :wink:)
Have had a cough/sore throat wombo-combo the last couple days, but by virtue of alcohol was able to happily VRChat last night, speaking and yelling as normal. Had an awesome party in the Void Club, where a bunch of people off my friends list came by and joined without even an invite, was fuckin' epic. Turns out, the power of alcohol does not, in fact, translate into the following day. I can now barely speak, and it is alllll my fault.

The DS1/2 models I've tried were way easier to import with little changes compared to Eygon. I'll probably take a look at his spec map later and see if maybe I can do some adjusting. That or experiment more with the material options in Unity.
I found a huge group of chilean dudes we had a good time, we told sad life stories n shit they even had a whatsapp and discord group, so we can hang out next time
How do you keep avatars you find out in the wild on avatar maps? I can't choose them again within my avatar menu.

I can't choose them again within my avatar menu.[/QUOTE] they're not actually avatars. they just look like avatars and function like them. hence on friends lists you still appear as your default avatar to others. it would be nice if they added some workarounds for people unable to upload their own.

Are there any publicly available avatars? Or any that anyones willing to share? I can't for the life of me figure out unity. I've tried importing avatar models but cant find any rigged ones, and I think for sfm ones you have to convert them with crowbar?

I took SFM models, used Crowbar to decompile them back into SMDs, then imported them into Blender to make sure their skeletons were intact before exporting them back out as FBX files.
