I think VRChat is messed up for me because I was going to one of the Great Pug servers after I got a new avatar, but I think I did something to mess it up since it won't even load up the HUB for me as it says "Loading" and nothing else happens. The horrible thing about VRChat is that the more i play it, the more i feel driven to take out of my savings to buy a VR All the people i meet do such great things with it I don't want to be left out man

I wish I had the money for a Vive or Rift at the moment, but between that and needing a PC hardware upgrade I'm stuck as a desktop user at the moment. :cry:

I have a friend that I regularly hang out with in VRchat who uses a Vive and it pushed me over the edge. I went the cheap route, though, since I just can't afford a Vive or consumer Rift. Turns out you can use the Razer Hydra in place of the Vive/Rift motion controllers and I still have mine from way back when. So I just got a used Oculus Dev Kit 2 off eBay for about $180. I still need to set it up, but I looked up as many sources as I could to confirm that DK2+Hydra is a valid setup for VRchat. It just won't be fully compatible with a lot of other games that need a proper consumer Oculus or Vive.

The most insane thing happened: So I was hanging out with a Porg from Star Wars and then all of a sudden a bunch of Crusaders were trying to take over the bar and chasing both me and the Porg while at certain times yelling Deus Vult. It was amazing. I met one of the devs while I was dicking around in the Gaia night world. (almost) Everyone was really chill, he talked about his past as a dev, then a bit of the future of vrchat, some people showed off their avatar with cool tricks they could do, then he spawned a functioning Polaroid camera that other playes could use and the photos would actually save on your hard drive. He also liked my shitty mtn dew avatar that I ported over, jokingly saying "that avatar sure took you a few days to make" moments like this is why I fucking love this game, and I can't believe I want a vr headset just to fuck around even more, sadly, I didn't take too many screenshots during the whole thing but I got some. But as a whole they are rare, I give you that. There is also an avatar world called "Osprey" or something with a Hl2 Gman and Black mesa grunts pedestals.

I have a very weird issue with my avatar, it's hands are stuck always pointing at somewhere and they never rest at it's sides, anyone knowledgeable enough who knows how to fix such an issue? I barely have any knowledge in Blender or Unity, but I know enough to mess around with meshes and bones a bit, and unity isn't that complex to learn. For clarification, I am using the vive controllers and I did hold it in a way that would have the hands rest at the sides, I even tested it with a model I haven't worked on myself that was VRChat ready in the first place. It's a kinda weird issue to explain too.

I got drunk while playing vrchat last night. I passed out twice and woke up and got back to drinking. By the end of the night I had about 20 people stood around me cheering me on. I now have the worst hangover.

So I finally got around to frankensteining my custom monstrosity into being, optimized perfectly for desktop mode. I love making bread puns and asking people to butter and eat me like i'm some kind of suicidal loaf of bread. This guy litteraly managed to pull his blinds off the wall. While also somehow got stuck under something with his HMD. I litteraly saw/heard him shuffle on the floor doing weirdest things untill he suddenly DC'd. He fucking pulled the usb of rift right out his PC. All of this in the first fucking hour. I swear its hilarious when you hear someone constantly making banging/knocking shit over sounds while playing. I sursiously cant even imagine what he has done after midnight when, I stopped playing. He definitely was on for hours past midnight. Jesus christ. Atleast, I knew from expierence people get worried for your wellbeing and try get you straight when you cant think anymore, so he'd be alright. I still feel bad for leaving him alone thought, Beceuse the other 90% of people just want you to fucking get plastered even more. DRUNK VRCHAT BEST VRCHAT EXPIERENCE.
