I ported this world but the collisions were so fucked up for me I could barely get down the street before I couldn't move anymore

After all that we played another drinking game for a while then changed instances again because the servers were being shit again.
So we had a brief interlude where people played with this chaps monster dong, complete with dynamic bones.

After that we restarted the drinking game and continued until there were about 10 of us left. By this point i had been out of booze for at least an hour and was drinking milk. Then around 1am I tapped out because I was pretty much falling asleep.

Just installed the game and tried out some model viewers, didn't work so I just used ninjaripper and got stuck with a model that wasn't even t-posed so yep.
Also most shaders look wack on him :v:

Might tweak the glass a bit more, after this one is done im gonna work on more and slowly but surely make a bit of an avenue :scream:
Still got some shit to fix and tweak, but it's looking good. Finally a good place to use the Ed, Edd n Eddy avatars.

My understanding it's basically just a plugin for your phone then a cardboard box slapped onto your phone to keep everything dark.

The only thing you need to use the headset for is checking hand gestures and anything tied into those works really, everything else works on desktop iirc?

Alright. I was wondering cause I had a thought of making a personal avatar even though I've never used Unity before or even touched 3d modeling stuff.
If we're doing a Facepunch Meet-up, I want in.
Was working on an MMD model today and unfortunately after I converted it an imported it to Unity three of the textures got corrupted or something. Had to scrap using the model, which sucked but I had a backup model so it worked out in the end.

Eh, I've been noticing that using dynamic bones on skirts is nice but end up with a bunch of leg clipping through the skirt and trying to set it up with collisions doesn't work. You can take my word for it since I've both tried AND had someone tell that it doesn't work.
I was told that the only way I was gonna get proper collisions on a skirt was to use cloth physics but I have no clue how to do that properly.

If you want your avatar to look a bit better you should use CubedParadox Unity Shaders. It makes your avatar so much better looking.
I just get really sad when I see non-shadered avatars.

Then when you drag textures part during Unity click on the shader selection and select Flat Lit Toon for each texture or if you use texture map just that one.

a really cheap and messy workaround is parenting the skirts to the leg bones. it makes me feel dirty but it works until you sit down and the skirt flips the fuck out but at least the legs wont clip through em that much
So my model's legs are too long and I cant reach small things on the floor.
Anyone know how I can edit my mesh in blender, but keep my changes without ruining all the bone weights? Currently If I do any edits in Edit Mode, once I go back to Object Mode all the changes are lost (goes back to rest mode).

That's not a problem with the model. You have to set your height in VRChat AND make sure you set the view point in the right place in Unity, lined up with and between the eyes and just forward of the ears, depending on the model of course.

A friend and I have been playing around in this, and it's been a mixture of fun times, confusing times, and weird times, but mostly fun times. While my friend gets to be a lucky duck and goof around with his Oculus in it, I decided I should try my hand at making a custom avatar. I have zero Blender or Unity experience, so I'm anxious to see the results of my labor (Though chances are it probably won't go without a hitch, so I might have to ask for some help, sorry). I have to ask though, how long does it usually take for the avatar to appear in your personal tab? I see the tab appear and then disappear quickly, but looking around the web, most people say to just wait a bit, but I'm not sure if I should be logging on to check and then relogging if it's not there, or if I should just chill out for a bit. It's been maybe fifteen minutes now since, I'm a bit worried it didn't work at all.
Depends on if the servers are on fire at the time, which is pretty much all the time thanks to these fucking meme videos causing the population to spike massively.
fyi there are many hackers going around atm. Stealing your avatars and names, teleporting you around, etc. Report them to afromana on the FP VR discord.

any idea how to fix this? its a brendan model straight off the internet, hasn't been touched up in blender
im trying to get help in the discord and im just told to wait until the people who really know about avs get online, not helpful at all
