i think it's defectors
there are some theories floating around that 7 is going to be a prequel to 3 due to the time period and the scientist guy in the trailer (who looks similar to a scientist from 3).
im so fucking hyped up though. ive been waiting for AC7 for going on 10 years now, and i believe in kono and aces. they're supposed to be showing gameplay at some point this weekend, so here's hoping we see some

Also, confirmed through the trailer; The PC's callsign is "Trigger".
ugh I need to buy a ps4 now

Already saving up.
I've been winning Rivals of Aether tournaments in my area and now i know what to do with my money from winning.
So I have Ace Combat 4,5 and Zero coming in the mail but should I also pick up some of those HD/component cables for the PS2? Are they better then the normal cables?
Fuck it's weird seeing my own 3 year old posts at the top of the page. Very excite for 7
I'm guessing that airfield near Stonehenge was re-purposed as an experimental aircraft facility like Edwards/Area 51. Its location can also put it in striking distance of the lighthouse assuming that its hosted out in the ocean like a space elevator should be.
I wonder if you'll see ISAF again.

It'd be a fucking incredible twist if the Kingdom of Erusea was (Ac4 spoilers I guess) [sp]the successor state ISAF set up after AC4[/sp], leading to a de facto Osea vs ISAF thing.
Well, the dialogue sounds as poorly-written as ever. Truly a proper Ace Combat title, not that it'll make getting back in the cockpit any less of a blast, I'm sure.
Heard a few theories floating about that the bearded PoW is Grimm from AC5, which also makes me wonder if the Razgriz will be mentioned at all as I recall reading that this one takes place 20 years after AC5, which is when the information regarding that particular conflict was scheduled to be declassified and published.

I doubt it's Grimm. If it really is 20 years post-AC5, Grimm would be 40 or so, and that POW looks to be in his mid-to-late 20's.

well according to an interview with the producer Kazutoki Kono, it is set around 2019 - 2020, a few years after Ace Combat 6 (aka the Estovakian-Emmerian War of 2015 - 2016). So it could be possible that as a cameo, Grimm might be there.

Ps. the Ace Combat subreddit has a thread that somewhat pieces all of the information gathered so far together to give a bigger picture.

What if you actually play as the Eruseans and Razgriz are the big bad enemy ace squadron?

The Actual Razgriz? Not a chance, can't see it happening. Some kind of Razgriz scare tactic tribute flight or prototype drone squadron then maybe.
is anyone playing the translation of electrosphere? im getting a lot of glitchy ground but the videos i saw looked fine, are there any specific emulator settings i shouls try changing? im using epsxe

going with this for electrosphere, only problem I'm having is that edges of the screen are often missing or not being rendered. Due to widescreen mode I'm making a guess. Otherwise its pretty smooth.
if you use these compatability settings it should render the sides properly atleast in 4:3 not sure about 16:9

if you download https://mega.nz/#!AlV0VaBL!VUxAkQ8nWENBECp51qsWJ3Xs8vyKnD8b3-Hi55jvy2o it includes a load of shaders, i think some might cause text/hud corruption but theres some 4x ones that work fine
theres also this mod for the ogl renderer which really smooths things out but i think it makes the hud a bit soft but i havnt really played with the settings
I finally finished 5 for the first time and I'm putting that on my list of favorite games of all time. Holy shit, what a ride.
Started Zero and I'm getting my ass kicked. I miss my Wardog squadron.

it gets better
oh man it gets better
for me, AC5 and AC0 are the top 2 ace combat games for me. Then it's AC4 and Ace Combat 6.
last on the list is AH.
5 was my least favorite of the trilogy
I just gave AC3E's dub a bit of a spin and I have to say, this is a pretty enjoyable game so far. It's definitely better when you have a clue as to what's going on.
Also the branching missions and planes you're not normally able to get in the NA release are really something.
I've yet to play AC3 yet but i'd imagine for some people in the world would feel like AC4 would be a step down.
I need to give it a look.

AC4 has far better vehicle controls and customization, I'd say. However, AC3, both in the Japanese and in American/European versions, has way, way more missions to it and due to it taking place in 2040 it's a bit more elaborate with it's creative story telling and airplanes, what with crazy shit like Night Raven being probably the most powerful weapon in the entire Ace Combat universe.
That being said though, AC5 is more or less on par with AC3 story wise, so I think you can expect what you're getting if you're familiar with AC5.
Everything about that video is good news. No stupid gimmicks, VR is a completely separate mode so it doesn't even begin to possibly interfere with the main game, the game visually resembles Ace Combat 6, and hell even the VR itself is literally just Ace Combat but with VR.
Everything that could go right with a normal gameplay video, has. My confidence has been fully restored in Ace Combat. [sp]Now if only it would come out on PC.[/sp]
