Ugh these RE4 guys have the game sound up so high. I want to hear them talk, not the clinking of metal and shooting of guns!
Especially since the runner's voice is amazing. [editline]7th January 2014[/editline] Also, not going to lie, I'm going to kill my sleep schedule to see the Halo 2 run. [editline]7th January 2014[/editline]
Heroic cat save.
Also why'd you post the shitty edit of this gif? THE PEOPLE DEMAND THE TRUTH!

Anybody else feel like each day brings forth more games to look forward to than the previous days? I know at least three I want to watch today, then like 6 tomorrow, same with the 10th, and then I wouldn't mind watching more than half of the runs on the 11th.

I wonder when quadrazid will finish HL21.
Soon. They're on the last map at 21:14.
I like how the F-Zero guys were asked to do roll-call, and the only one you could hear was the runner. Really glad I got to know who you guys are, seriously, no really! [editline]9th January 2014[/editline] I believe CGN had 90% of his body replaced with robot parts. That F-Zero GX run was impressive as hell
That man is not human.
I forgot to post this yesterday because of AGDQ but I got a beginner PB for WW HD, at 6:17:23.7 :suicide: It's a start, anyway!

Punchout/super punchout was the hypest block of the whole marathon for me. just those 2 games for highlight reel
What are the most fun games to watch speedruns of in terms of bugs and such? Like, Half-Life 2: DWaHMoV and the current Skyrim WR
What are the most fun games to watch speedruns of in terms of bugs and such? Like, Half-Life 2: DWaHMoV and the current Skyrim WR
ocarina of time any% is my favourite in terms of big breaks
What are the most fun games to watch speedruns of in terms of bugs and such? Like, Half-Life 2: DWaHMoV and the current Skyrim WR
Mario 64 has this thing where you skip a bunch of levels by hopping backwards up a staircase and going so fast that you phase through a wall. Jedi Outcast has huge sequence breaks you can get by jumping across rivers and on top of enemies and the like. It also lets you skip conversations by slashing a wall. Fallout 3 has so many sequence breaks that the majority of the half-hour run is just walking. The meat of it is using a physics bug to fly over and squeeze through important walls, then using some essential character weirdness to get Autumn to let you in the final chamber. Morrowind uses a bug which lets you increase your stats as high as possible at no cost. Jedi Knight is interesting too, since there's a level in which the runners blow themselves up, fling their corpse across the map and through a wall into the ending zone, making them technically win the level.

Honestly out of bugs and glitches the best to watch in no particular order are Ocarina of Time Majora's Mask Symphony of the Night Donkey Kong 64
Garrison :(
What are the most fun games to watch speedruns of in terms of bugs and such? Like, Half-Life 2: DWaHMoV and the current Skyrim WR
For old school speed running, Doom 1+2 + Final Doom have some really good speed run bugs to watch that include: - Winning a level through suicide (Plutonia: map17 compound) - Archvile Jumping - Glitching the AI to open doors that require keys - Using the rocket launcher to blast yourself across the map (rocket jumping) - Various other maneuvers. Simply watching people beat 30 levels of Doom 2 in 17 minutes is pretty interesting considering full 100% completion speedruns of Doom 2 takes 2 hours
I've never done a speed run before but after AGDQ I want to learn a game, choosing a game to run is really hard.
I've never done a speed run before but after AGDQ I want to learn a game, choosing a game to run is really hard.
I actually want to try to do a Low%/Any% run of Momodora II just from watching the AGDQ. In fact, since I'm on the same boat of never speed-running before, I just started out on a relatively tiny speedrun, with the goal being to defeat the first boss. :v: I barely practiced (only the first segment), but here's what I got, so far: (Note: Time starts when selecting a save file, time ends when the boss' dialogue pops up after beating her, with Luna's Blessing.) 0,0 to 7,2: (The two numbers are the X,Y of the map (can be seen by holding Shift), with 0,0 being the starting screen) The one segment that I actually had practice with (but not that much), and I'm pretty sure a sub-45 is possible. There is one thing that bothers me, and it's this platform: [t]http://puu.sh/6hfbw.png[/t] When you land there, half the time she won't jump if you press the jump button right after landing (at least for me). You could wait like a half-second to make sure you can jump, but speedruns. :v: 7,2 to 7,6 (w/ Luna): (Segment Time: 54.87) To get Luna's Blessing, stand next to her statue (at 11,6), and hold down. The top-right bar will fill up by a fourth and give you a message about receiving Luna's Blessing. Thankfully, your health restores to full when you get her blessing, so you can just make a mad dash to the end afterwards. [t]http://puu.sh/6hgSu.png[/t] First Boss Beaten (7,6 to 5,6): (Segment Time: 32.84) Something that I found out by accident (which was probably known anyway) is that you can destroy the small projectiles, which can even drop hearts and KoHo Charms! Also, here's her fairly simple pattern: Edit: Actually, I think I might have my coordinates wrong...give me a moment. Edit 2: Fixed coordinates!
Holy shit your running Momodora II? When I played Momodora II I actually wanted to run it, maybe I should pick it up again.

He shouldn't need to concern himself with that. I'm sure he's running for fun and not to beat the WR.
He shouldn't need to concern himself with that. I'm sure he's running for fun and not to beat the WR.
Ah, my apologies then!
I've never done a speed run before but after AGDQ I want to learn a game, choosing a game to run is really hard.
Just pick a game that you could play over and over.
"This is for Blueglass to take off his glasses, point to the camera and say "This is for you baby."". Blueglass then proceeds to stand up, take off his glasses and say "This is for you baby". Of course you couldn't hear him do it because he has no mic and you couldn't see him do it because he was standing outside of the camera's view.
