Watch me fail: plug Please don't kill me over this...
JK2: Jedi Outcast was beaten in 42 minutes and 27 seconds on max difficulty.
MrWeables broke the 27 minute barrier for Amnesia Single Segment runs, I was lucky enough to be there when he did it. Also my goal is to make a complete run of Half-Life, I'm starting to learn but I can't seem to keep myself interested enough to get any further than Blast Pit or so.
SR2 froze on me again, this time after "The Siege" mission. I was so close to ending the run, it just feels fucking terrible to lose because of a bug. I'm satisfied by the run though. The times were improved greatly. Also, yes, "Rest In Peace" and "Good D" have those times because I failed to spot that I didn't split after finishing "Rest In Peace". Shouldn't be too much though - also "RIP" took me maybe three minutes, literally. I'm really happy that I managed to cut off an hour from the time. Snatch activity in Downtown can be a bitch, but when done with checking the map for better locations, it becomes ridiculously easy. On a sidenote, watch out for the park in Downtown - I fell through the ground and into the void there. Long (?) story short, the game bugged again but I managed to improve my time by about an hour.

http://www.twitch.tv/cosmowright Cosmo is streaming OOT Any& right now
http://www.twitch.tv/cosmowright Cosmo is streaming OOT Any& right now
By far my favourite speedrunner.
Everyone and their mother has probably seen this before, but i find it really cool to watch.
http://sourceruns.org/index.php/topic,1037.0.html
http://sourceruns.org/index.php/topic,1037.0.html
"sub-21 minutes is possible" holy shit
Woah woah, I remember this being Half Life 22, as in 22 minutes Since when did they improve so much that they have the confidence to say its gonna be under 21 minutes now? These guys are wizards.
the only game I ever actively speedran is Half Life 2, best I could do was something like 1h 45min :/ maybe I should retry sometime or try another game
Joshimuz went live, he's running GTA San Andreas! [editline]7th August 2013[/editline]
the only game I ever actively speedran is Half Life 2, best I could do was something like 1h 45min :/ maybe I should retry sometime or try another game
That's a ridiculously good run, single segment?
Joshimuz went live, he's running GTA San Andreas!
lol'd at making CJ bald and igniting Ryder Aaand it's ended cause Josh failed 555 We Tip.
Wow, they surely weren't kidding when they said "555 We Reset".
-snip-, got you mixed up with someone else.

That doesn't answer the question, it's possible he could have done it in a single segment.
Since when did they improve so much that they have the confidence to say its gonna be under 21 minutes now? These guys are wizards.
iirc, about a year ago it was estimated 24 mins
iirc, about a year ago it was estimated 24 mins
Felt like a few months ago.
Joshimuz went live again, once again streaming GTA:SA!
Joshimuz went live again, once again streaming GTA:SA!
He's making so many mistakes, it's a miracle he's actually ahead of time. Edit: He failed just after completing 555 We Tip, by flipping Caesar's car on Photo Opportunity.
Might learn Super Mario Subshine, a bit worn out of SM64. If anyone else is interested in Mario Sunshine, current world record holder for any% and 100% of the game Samura1man has made a any% tutorial for beginners that's about two and a half hours. Can't post a link as I'm on my phone but its not hard to find with a search of his name. Seems like a blast to speedrun.
i recently started practicing super metroid because i love the game and i feel like its a good place to start speedrunning is really fun
It's best to speedrun the games you love, you'll never get tired of all the resets that way :v:
http://www.twitch.tv/dabigbooi/b/442594105 He's working on the Half-Life 20 minute run. Skip to 3 minutes in because he goes afk. [editline]9th August 2013[/editline] okay I'm sorry this is boring as shit.
Oh I never noticed this thread before. I'm speedrunning Rogue Legacy.
NiNKortek is streaming his any% GTA San Andreas WR attempt, and it all seems like it's going to be The Run! Aaand Teh Urn's over because of Catalina's feminist artificial stupidity screwing up Small Town Bank.
Whoa, Cosmo just got #2 place on Ocarina of Time Any% category. In case you don't know, he was able to get such a good time also because he's running it on the iQue Player, the Chinese Nintendo 64. He also made a comparison video of the difference of JP Virtual Console vs. iQue in OOT Any%
from 6 minutes to 2 minutes on this tas, goddamn
