I speed run for myself a lot, mainly Super Monkey Ball 1/2, Modern Warfare series, Halo, and Portal 2.

TimeShift isn't a game many have heard of I guess, but it's a lot of fun to speedrun:

Apparently this is the world record as of right now. The runner has said that there are next to none shortcuts in the game. I've found one in at least the first four maps he hasn't done in his run.
The very first part on the map he's on at 6 minutes and 55 seconds for instance... So slow.

There are a few more of those kinds of shortcuts through out the game. I'll probably find some time to finally finish this speedrun some time in the future.

Use LiveTwitch. Much better UI than official Twitch. Can chat, too

I'm learning to speedrun psychonauts, and it's really fun so far. From what I can tell, there's only one big skip in the route (which allows you to skip getting invisibility), but other than that it's all about speedy platforming. I might stream once I've learned the route and can do some actual runs.

Playing Mirror's Edge for the first time really makes me want to speedrun it, but looking up the current WR (39:26) there is no way I could do any of the glitches. Damn my lack of hand-eye coordination.

There was a time where I was working on a Half Life 100% run on SourceRuns, meaning you kill all the monsters in the game. Project stopped when no one could glitch grenades through the glass tubes to kill the headcrabs. Anyway, recently I've been thinking of running Tony Hawk Underground

if you're ever going to race against other people or make a speedrun video of it you should get an actual console itself since emulators are banned.

Anyone here play Castlevania Harmony of Despair?
It's a multiplayer Castlevania game on 360 and PS3 and it has tons of glitches for getting through levels quickly. There's a small community who still plays a lot just to figure out new ways of getting through the levels.

I'm considering trying to speedrun Wario Land 3 now that I've got it on the 3DS' Vcon. I've beaten it about seven or eight times since I was 11 and have gotten pretty good at it. It's not that long of a game if you know it by heart (and some glitches as well), so maybe I've got a chance at something here.

Any advice any of you could give to someone looking to perform their first continuous speedrun? Anything I could fetch on the cheap to record a 3DS' screen?
