Finally got my first non-segmented OoT any% run out on an emulator. Now I just have to get the game running on my Wii and I can start doing legit runs. [img]http://i.imgur.com/vJIbrkR.png[/img] I could've saved atleast 10 minutes if I wasn't so bad at ISG.

Thinking about running Gunpoint, because I love that game, anyone here ever do a run through of it?

System Shock 2 speedruns are always impressive to me; There's a lot of shit to remember, I've played the game through about 5 times over a span of 10 years and I still don't know off by heart where to find each critical item and where to go with it. These guys have to run diagonally too. I seen one completed in 40 minutes, my current playthrough is likely around 7/8 hours and I've just got to the Rickenbacker, it's crazy. Deliberately dying to go back to the QBR is something I didn't think I'd see either. However, the speedruns are helped by the fact that knowing certain keycodes lets you skip parts of the game. So I was running Half-Life 2. I got all the way to Nova Prospekt to discover I never picked up the rocket launcher to kill the gunships and progess. An hour and a half down the drain. The very next run, CTD and save file loss :v: I'm cursed.

I wanna see someone speedrunning HL2 only with crowbar on new engine for ABHs. Someone did it on old version in 2 hours.

I'm thinking about speedrunning Hagane. It seems like a really tough game to learn and its mainly RNG luck based but it looks like a lot of fun. [editline]24th November 2013[/editline] Just for fun though I don't think I'll be able to beat omni's time.

The rest of the RNG that you need to go right comes from 2 bosses doing a certain pattern first so you can quick kill them. Even if they don't you still will get a pretty good time if you can manage to pull off the rest of the tricks in the run. Like I said i'm doing this one for fun and not competitively so if I get too buttfrustrated at this game I can just stop.

Huge bump, but I keep seeing Twitch chats saying "Teh Urn". I can't seem to find a solid answer, is anybody able to tell me what teh urn is and what it has to do with speed running?

teh urn is actually 'The Run', ie WR pace Speedrunnin most of the stream chats are filled with shitposts so sometimes it's used totally straight or very ironically
