Marquis + Land
My complaint with Helicopters, they crumple like tinfoil and there's no counter-measures to the lock-on launcher, like why even really bother with a Helicopter when someone can easily ruin your flying day, but with the inclusion of the Explosive Rounds for the Heavy Sniper Rifle, there's legit nothing you can do in a helicopter to counter THAT shit.

Well, you can play in empty lobbies. That's the ultimate counter.
Speaking of crap "call in" vehicles, I feel like the tank hasn't gotten any love in a loooooong time. For something that's supposed to fuck up other tanks, it sure is weak against a tiny stick of C4 or a barrage of small caliber firearms.
[sp]Note I don't play much anymore so I can't testify as to any recent updates for it.[/sp]
The AA Gun's upgrade can one-shot the Rhino, so if some cunt thinks he's cool by trying to harass you with one, just sit in one of them and bait the cunt.
So I purchased a Buzzard while it was on sale.
Holy fucking shit, the speed of I/E. It's glorious how I can go from my office to the other side of LS in half a minute without any difficulty whatsoever. I/E has gone from a simple chore to a side activity you can easily do on your way to something else.

The half track or the trailer? And if the trailer, which of the upgrades.
The Trailer, the only upgrade for the weapon with the explosive shots.
Played GTAO the other day. Gave it up when I saw a dude flying a tank
And no, Not with a cargobob
I hope they learn from GTAV and unfuck the online mode for whatever comes after RDR2. I'd rather have no online modding at all over giving people who have $20 the ability to completely ruin my experience from across the map just because they feel like being a dick.

if you don't stop moving you'll almost never get hit by the homing launcher

There's often times where you can pull off an easy dodge but instead of carrying on past you as it should the missile does a 180 degree spin and hits you from the back, as well as killing you despite the missile visibly missing by a large margin, it's shitty

A while back on last-gen consoles, before most people knew about jets being insanely powerful, the tank was basically the main shitter vehicle. It could take a lot more punishment than it can now and I think it even had a slightly faster fire rate. After a shit load of complaints, Rockstar did something for once and nerfed it to what it is now.
Since then, Rockstar has not buffed the tank or changed it despite the fact that they've introduced other vehicles that are much more useful than the tank. It probably doesn't help that the developer team seems to have no idea what the fuck they're doing when it comes to making balance changes given that their solution to jets was introduced after about two/three years of complaints and all it did was introduce a bunch of overpowered shit that requires a ridiculous amount of money to access. There is also the recent downforce change which made a bunch of good downforce cars worse for racing and just made some of the shit downforce cars more useless.

I'm sure they've learned many things from running and building on GTA Online, but whether they choose to implement systems beneficial to the player is another thing entirely. Moving away from peer-to-peer hosting would certainly be a big step-up, but I have a feeling the content won't change a great deal for the next few games, based on their annual turnover figures for shark cards.
Given the enduring popularity of GTA and its size as a franchise, I wouldn't be surprised if they continue using the same business model.
For a slight comparison, the main beef I had with Fallout 4 is that it is a popular franchise, and yet the devs still insisted on using an ancient engine to build a game that they knew was going to sell well. So from their point of view; why bother using the resources to learn something new if you know it's going to bring you a great deal of revenue anyway?
Of course this is an oversimplification of the development process, but if you're an industry juggernaut that can afford to give your players a better experience but make the conscious decision not to in pursuit of pure profit and minimising development costs, it really doesn't fill me with much hope for the future of 'games as services'.
I respect that at least some people at Rockstar care enough to make the game fun and playable (despite poor execution in numerous areas), but to what extent have Take-Two derailed this process? I'm unsure on whom the fault squarely lies on, maybe a mixture of both.
GTAO, at least somewhat, suffered from not being that planned - things have been sort of hacked together, using unreleased content including the scrapped SP DLCs and cobbled into content updates, only in the last year have we really seen some sort of direction to what they're releasing since settling into the CEO system.
While I wouldn't put it past them to go lazy and use P2P connections again and just rehash GTAO, the next multiplayer will at least be learning from GTAO's pitfalls and will almost certainly have a far better semblance of direction and general coherency in its content.
That's not really enough for me since I'll only really be able to have any optimism if they remove gameplay-affecting microtransactions since they kinda single-handedly ruined what GTAO could have been, but hey, I don't think I'm the target audience any more so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I started up GTA:O because hey, I finished the campaign and it could be fun.
5 minutes in someone started spawning explosions on every player. Why? Just let me play the game, man.
Because GTAO is P2P, and so they do that because they literally can. R* can't stop griefers from trolling entire sessions. R* has employed various forms of anticheat to at least try and detect and block trainers, but they seem more focused on pumping out more guns, clothes, and cars to keep the grind going and to keep people buying Shark Cards.
And that's why GTAO PC is one of the biggest disappointments of 2015, and 2015 saw Evolve release so the bar is set phenomenally high as it is.
The way they keep adding new systems and new kinds of vehicles and weapons to GTA Online always makes me think of this:

So we finally solved the enigma of the missing 200K thanks to Rockstar's own words. Apparently everyone who got shafted just wasn't eligible for the rewards.

So now they're getting into bait-and-switch false advertising. And the two most obvious reasons are either to try and increase the playercount/mailing list headcount for 'free', or to cover up their own technical incompetence after they utterly fail to deliver on a promotion. Nice.

It's most likely incompetence, I highly doubt it is anything more.
Though, I am rather curious about the people who tried to get the mailing list 200K: did you actually see the message on your loading screen or did you just see it through Reddit/GTAF?

I saw the July 4th quote on the loading screen, and the only info I had on it being postponed to the tenth was some guy on Reddit. Then people said it was the seventeenth, seemingly without any proof up until Overtime Rumble became available, and then they said sign up on the tenth and get it on the seventeenth.

It was definitely on the loading screen
Like the money isnt that much but fuck is that scummy
They act like they're being forced to give us money out of their own wallets. I'm pretty sure you'll still be able to afford your weekly cocaine and hookers, R*

Especially when the "money" in question is effectively worthless and can be printed out at the press of a button.
The sports cars that were affected by the Gunrunning downforce change have been testing by Broughy:

I really hope that Rockstar tries a bit harder when trying to balance vehicles in the future because the downforce change they made with this update is really fucking stupid.
My main question is why bother with nerfing downforce? Literally nobody was asking for a nerf to super/sports cars. And Rockstar in their incredible, endless intellect decided to nerf the Omnis, a car which already A: wasn't competitive with other cars in its class and B: couldn't even make stunt jumps on THEIR OWN TRACKS.

I'm really not sure if they were changing downforce to get people to buy the Vagner or if they legit wanted to balance out some of the shit downforce cars. The way they changed things makes me think that they were looking for a special solution to make downforce cars better, but simple testing would have shown them that the change made things worse. Then again, simple testing doesn't seem to be something that Rockstar bothers to do judging by how much broken shit they manage to push out on a regular basis.
Also, the Omnis was competitive before this nerf. It just wasn't meant for standard sports car races with shit like the Elegy, but was meant for the small group of rally cars that the sports class has.

What I'm especially baffled about is why they didn't just experiment with the multipliers, rather than changing the way downforce fundamentally works. Perhaps they did, and simply reducing the value gives inconsistent results. If they really are pushing an agenda of nerfing older competitive vehicles to force people to buy the new ones, it doesn't make complete sense that they would offer the Vagner at a fair (for 2017) price point.
My guess is that there are a few different people in charge of allocating vehicle balance at Rockstar. I'm not sure if they delegate one studio to create online content, or if it's a combined effort for bigger updates, but it looks as though one person has worked to balance the super class, and another has just come in and oversaw a change in downforce as a quick fix so as not to make the Vagner too overpowered and completely spoilt that balance.
