Even if they were to do that, nothing will prevent people from selecting the non pvp oriented matchmaking just to annoy people
I'd be a tiny bit more accepting of the heavy PvP focus in GTAO if they took the time to balance stuff or think before releasing blatantly overpowered bullshit. If they actually did any of that, maybe we wouldn't have stupid shit like flying bikes with homing rockets, hitscan sniper with a wallhack and explosive rounds, and the other shit is a pain in the ass to counter when doing jobs.
Even if they were to do that, nothing will prevent people from selecting the non pvp oriented matchmaking just to annoy people
Wouldn't be a problem if everyone was essentially passive but still capable of shooting and no-contact for driving. Of course then we'd still have trainer assholes but that's not possible to fix with how poorly GTAO was designed. [editline]a[/editline] There's all this cool content but frankly I don't even want to log in and spend the rest of my cheated millions on buying it because I'm sure that while playing around on a rocket-bike I'll get insantly locked onto by six different people with homing launchers and have my vehicle blown up before the rockets even hit me because someone spent $20 on a trainer.
They should've just given us a "friendly freeroam" option. It worked fine in Red Dead.

Stuff like animals/hunting grounds, the little in-game lobby where players beat the living shit out of each other before a match, the mexican standoffs at the start of matches and so on.

I'm sure if gtao had the posse system in some form from early the lobbies would be a lot less shitty.

:snip:
Dunno if people still post about other GTAs, but I beat The Lost and Damned today, and the whole story hit me like a truck. The whole GTA IV trilogy is amazing, and in my opinion, miles better than V, which is still a great game
GTA IV had so many likable characters. Packie, Brucie, Little Jacob, Roman, etc. [editline]27th July 2017[/editline] It feels like in V, they went out of their way to make every character shit.
Honestly, I think the thing is that in GTAIV they felt a lot more grounded and human, whereas in V they made them all outlandish or a piece of wood (Franklin). Honestly, Lamar is kinda great in that despite being a little over the top, he actually tends to feel otherwise fairly reasonable. Although GTAO has Agent 14, and I just love him. For all the characters you kill in The Third Option, I didn't feel like they were developed at all. Like, "oh, yeah, they were a thing? They were that important? [sp]The Chinese against Trevor[/sp] were developed for maybe three or four missions and a phone call, it all being very rushed. [sp]Steve Haynes[/sp] was a dick, of course, but it was very sudden how they went [sp]yeah, btw, kill Trevor[/sp]. And then there was [sp]Devin Weston,[/sp] who was supposed to be the biggest bad of them all, but he was so underdeveloped. Introduction was rushed, middle missions were rushed with little explanation for the motives, and then [sp]he doesn't pay for the job and tries to kill Michael's family, so that's why you kill him.[/sp] I understand it's more "realistic" for criminals like Mike or Trevor to kill someone for [sp]not paying up,[/sp] but in GTA IV, you killed people for straight up betraying you. For fucking you over, for killing your family. They were developed and I really thought they were awful people, not just annoying dicks.
I liked some of Steve Haines' lines and Lazlow's radio has some funny bits [editline]28th July 2017[/editline] integrity 2.0 on GTA4 with Lazlow was better tho [editline]28th July 2017[/editline]
GTA IV had so many likable characters. I don't even remember disliking Weston all that much, he was just a rich dick

Would Franklin drive his car on the side walk, running over every person? Would Michael aim at people riding bikes on the parkway to kill them? No, but Trevor definitely would. Franklin/Michael say "aw, shit!" and realize a mistake whenever they run someone over. Trevor instead sarcastically says "I need to get my eyes checked." Sometimes his "crazy psycho" persona got a little tiring (which made it a bit satisfying hearing Michael/Frank say "oh, just shut up"), but it definitely fit the outrageous gameplay players tend to do in the game.
Although GTAO has Agent 14, and I just love him. [t]http://i.imgur.com/mTCofRj.jpg[/t]
I feel my bunker purchase was justified solely for Agent 14.

This is the fucking final mission?". The story just crawls along painfully slow with some vague degree of background progression (namely Franklin moving to the new house indicating "hey look dood you're moving up in the world" and the larger and larger involvement with the FIB) until one day it's like "Oh hey this is the climax!". Atleast with IV you got to experience the climb from living in a little shithole among the poor and dealing with loansharks to straight up slaughtering entire groups of mafia and doing all sorts of crazy shit so you felt like you were actually going somewhere.
The IV series have clearly developed and interesting antagonists. The only complaint is that Bulgarin felt weird as a primary antagonist in TBOGT, but Dimitri and Billy/Brian were great antagonists that you really wanted to fucking kill. SA was even better with this with Tenpenny, Pulaski, Big Smoke and Ryder. They both also had minor antagonists throughout the game that worked really well. Not to mention the friends/accomplices of the characters actually felt like actual friends. Lamar did and that's it.
I always feel weird how GTA V Story Mode always goes about the crew trying to make money, yet everything in Los Santos is so fucking cheap compared to Los Santos in the Online world. The only characters who would really have a reason to kill over not getting paid are the Online characters.

GTAIV feels more like a simulation with a good drama to go with it, while GTAV feels like an appeal to its younger audience who play for bad language and shooting shit with RPGs, which is what it does really well. [editline]a[/editline] Like I'd say GTAV's shooting is the best in the entire series, but everything else (except maybe driving, I like the arcadiness and ability to flip and right myself if I flip onto the top of my car) just feels like they've done it better before.
Yeah, the shooting in V is definitely more satisfying. That little "pop" sound when you get a headshot is great. I just wish the guns sounded more powerful.
They should have improved on the gun play of mp3, now its just a slim version of mp3
They should have improved on the gun play of mp3, now its just a slim version of mp3
God the worst thing ever when I first played GTA V was using Michaels ability expecting it to be something like MP3s dive and then finding out that it's just some boring slow motion shit, aswell as all the other characters ability. They took such an easy way out by just making them "lol slow motion, extra damage dealt less damage recieved, and turbo arcade driving ;))"
Franklin's focus disappointed me the most. When using it, cars can go up to ~180 MpH or more but when you exit it the car just goes NopeNopeNopeNope and slows down to 110 MpH.
Max Payne diving would have been great but the locking on deadeye power in RDR was the greatest Locking onto some dude riding on a horse then throwing a homing molotov that follows them down the street can't be beaten

Well, I wonder what we'll get tomorrow. I'm hoping for Insurgent PV, but not betting on it.
The only ones left I think are the Insurgent Custom and Nightshark I think.
