When Rockstar dripfeeds vehicles after a major update, do they typically release only one vehicle a week, or more?
I guess a better question is, how many weeks does the dripfeed cycle take typically? This update it feels like there are way more vehicles that are unavailable at the update's launch than is normal.
It's usually just one a week. And it takes as many weeks as things there are to release (i.e. 4 vehicles = 4 weeks, etc).
Honestly I feel like free roam is kind of fucked now. I had some guy in one of the new planes decide to come and kill me and he was just non-stop carpet bombing and firing those explosive rounds at me. Guns were basically useless and the homing launcher is totally negated by flares, by the time they've run out you've already spent like 15k on homing launcher missiles.
I've been trying to export cars but it seems like every single thing in the sky now has homing launchers - using a cargobob is a death sentence and jet cannons are basically impossible to outrun if you get caught out in the open. I've been managing to take some planes down with the jets in Zancudo but I shouldn't have to go all the way there and steal a jet just to make sourcing a 30k car possible.
I've been pouring all this money and time into gunrunning and it's done fuck all for me in terms of defending myself.

It's not even a case of "git gud" if it was I wouldn't mind, the map is just littered with massively OP planes/vehicles that you can't touch if you're on foot. I'm pretty much done with GTA:O for now
I guess I'm lucky, cause I haven't encountered any of the new planes yet
I came across an odd little bug when arranging planes inside the hangar. I placed and painted my Jetsam Cargobob in the hangar, then switched to a new session, and a Marines cargobob had also spawned when I loaded in. I don't own a Marines version because it's noisy as fuck.
I could paint this version too, as if I owned it, but when I tried to 'remove' the Marines cargobob using the menu, it told me 'vehicle sold'. I didn't get any money from it (not even the cost of paint applied), and to my knowledge you couldn't sell it even if you wanted to. Loaded into a new session and the Marines one doesn't seem to spawn in the hangar anymore.

Open task manager, open resource monitor, select GTA 5, right click and Suspend Process. Count to ten, right click and Resume Process.
And now you're in a 'Public' session all by yourself.
probably old news now but i just logged in to GTAO after not playing for a couple months to find rockstar took $1.2 million (earned legit) from my account, leaving my already fairly meager bank balance at a tiny $200k. like, i already couldn't fucking afford anything before, but now i really can't fucking afford anything
Honestly, as goofy (and expensive) as it would be, I wish this update included an AWACS that functioned like the MOC where you could run around in it while its in flight and do some stuff and live in it. Or a zeppelin like the yacht. Just give me dumb, goofy, fun shit to play with. I don't need stupid economics and grind shit. I want fucking toys to play with, not a job.

"Hey, are you willing to accept getting 0% of a pacific standard job?"
Nope, fuck that noise.

Should've accepted and trolled the shit out of the host.

Not gonna waste my time just to be a dick to a dick.
I'd like to take a moment to gripe about the fact that the fully upgraded Rogue has an airspeed nearly twice that of my Hydra.
And a stall speed greater than my Hydra's top speed.
A WWII-era prop plane easily beats out what's supposed to be the most high tech jet in the game.
I really hope they let us at least buy handling, speed and armor upgrades for all of the older aircraft later on, or I'm going to be sad.

I kinda love the Rogue though.
[editline]30th August 2017[/editline]
Also, the Tula with its jet takeoff is hilarious. One moment its slowly creeping along, the next it has ripped itself from the earth and thrown itself high in the air with no control.
I kinda love the Rogue though.
It's fun, sure, but should absolutely not be faster than a modern jet fighter.
I'm curious how it holds up against the Lazer, given that the only thing the Lazer had over the Hydra previously was speed. At this point I can't see anything justifying the cost of the Lazer in the leaks.

Faster than lazer.
So what will justify the Lazer then? I expect it will get bombs and probably the autocannon. Unless it's going to have a unique weapon type that is absurd, like an actual laser, I can't see a reason for it.

Small point, Rogue is based on a Texan2, built in the early 2000s. Still shouldn't outrun a jet though, perhaps outmaneuver though

The best defense against any aircraft at this point is not the APC with the not-SAM launcher, it's not the Oppressor, it's not the AA Trailer, and it's not even the AA halftrack with autocannons. It's the explosive sniper rifle. Any non-upgraded aircraft will go down in two shots. I haven't done any testing on the new ones with maximum armor but they can take at least two missile shots (some of them can even handle three) before they start to regularly break down in the middle of flight.
Your best option is to ask if anybody who has the ability to fight them can help you. I regularly patrol in all the freemode lobbies I find myself in and look for people clearly in trouble when doing their shit. Most of the time I get shot down by the people I'm defending but if I take the harasser with me I'm happy.
The good news is, if you're a ground target and they're shooting missiles at you, they're a shit pilot. The fastest way to secure a ground kill from the air is with the machine guns. The fact they're explosive helps immensely, but you get a lot of precision that you can't get guaranteed by a missile. If you want to be sure the missiles bugger off, have someone fire a flare off with the flare gun. As of the introduction of Smuggler's Run, flare guns can deter missiles in flight just like the flares we can use on the new planes.

This of course won't protect you from bombs. The bombs still take a LOT of skill to use the way they're intended. You can't just sit high up in the air and drop them. My first impression on them makes me think they behave much like real-world bombs falling from planes. They seem to travel with forward momentum and of course there's still time-to-target based on altitude as well. Nobody is going to be able to precisely bomb you doing export runs. Not unless you get trapped in an enclosed area and they can just scorch the earth. That's what bombers are good at. Not precision strikes. The easiest way to deal with them is to just keep going straight.
The planes that CAN carry bombs at the current moment are the Tula, Rogue, Starling, and the Cuban-800. Of these the Rogue is by far the most dangerous because of its high maneuverability and other armaments. The Tula is by far the most precise bomber because it can go into VTOL, but it can NOT fire countermeasures without a co-pilot, and if it's going for a precise bombing attack it's going to be a sitting duck, making it easy to pick out of the sky. The only thing the Tula really has are the bombs. It's basically a Liberator from Planetside. Without a full crew it's effectively useless. Really, these things aren't much to worry about unless you see there are multiple people in them.
The Starling is basically a shitty Rogue. It has no constant, on-board propulsion so you have to pulse the rockets to get it going, but it can glide for quite a distance making it good for slowing down to get the perfect bombing run going. They don't have explosive bullets, but they can pack missiles. It CAN fire countermeasures.
The Rogue is by far the best one so far, because it is the only new plane that can get explosive bullets, bombs, missiles, and use countermeasures without a co-pilot. It's the jack of all trades, and it's better than a Hydra. This is the most dangerous one to watch out for, only because of the explosive bullets.
The MiG has no explosive bullets, but it can be upgraded for countermeasures and missiles. However it is a surprisingly light aircraft with quick shutdown and startup times for the engine, so if you want a controlled glide to line up a strafing run you can cut the engine and then start it up very fast without worrying about a crash, unlike a lot of the other planes. It can not carry bombs.
I haven't even flown the Cuban, but I did mod it, and I believe all it can do is get a bomb bay. That's it.
So how strict are Rockstar with bans anyway, mainly when it comes to money when you do it yourself?
This money grind is doing my fucking head in I'm starting to care less about getting banned

before it was a 2 weeks ban period, 1 month ban period, then perma I think but now besides the 2 or so weeks ban you also get all your online progress wiped
Thanks, the progress wipe would be a bit crap.
Though their anti cheat is known for being complete shit anyway, right?
Thanks, the progress wipe would be a bit crap.

yeah but its complete shit in a bad way, in that it often doesnt detect anything but bans you anyway
I found a hack a couple of weeks ago that only gave money, did nothing else. It didn't drop money bags, it just added money directly into your account and it left nothing in terms of deposits or transaction logs. To my knowledge whatever I used was undetected because I used it to give myself like $400,000,000 over the last couple weeks and got what I needed out of it before the new update. Obviously I'm still here.
There have been more reports of LEGIT players losing money because of Rockstar "correcting" their balances. In most cases...close to the exact amounts they've made on double I/E and double Gunrunning. Meanwhile my money is fine, as is my profile, and so are many others based on the light reading I have done on r/gtaonline so far. If I get banned in the future I don't care, I've clocked 112 hours in the past two weeks. Before that I only had 90 hours total in the game. Now I feel like I can actually have fun since I can fight back against the griefers and help people. I would say if I do get banned, or my money gets wiped, or my progress gets reset, I won't care. I've gotten my fill.
Just be careful with what you find. I didn't trust what I found at first but me and a few buddies took a dive and used it. Truthfully your best option would probably be to talk to a modder if you run into one. Don't spam and ask for money, just talk to them. They might help to give you the hook up.
Hey, if that thing still seems safe to use, I'd love to be set up with that.
Also, does the Bombushka have a tail gun? I've been looking at the leaked shots and it obviously has a roof gun and belly gun, but I think it has a tail gun as well, its just hard to tell.

Unfortunately it's been pached. Running it crashes the game, which is what I feared so thank god I had the foresight to use it as much as possible before Smugglers Run launched.

I'm pretty sure that's normal since every update switches addresses around. There's still a chance that thing could be updated

Yup, it has a tail gun, and all its guns seem to be the same cannons as the moc has

Yeah, in fact looking a little more it seems a bit like the MOC with an interior and different consoles to sit at.
Yeah, in fact looking a little more it seems a bit like the MOC with an interior and different consoles to sit at.
Honestly i feel like the bombushka was supposed to same a similar role and function like the MOC but they got lazy.
Ultralight is really nice, gliding over Los Santos unnoticed is so calming.
Imo there's nothing wrong whatsoever with hacking to get money. R* clearly balanced their entire game around shark card purchases, without any legitimate way to make money at anything approaching a respectable rate.
Which wouldn't be so bad if it was free to play, but it also cost like 80 fucking dollars CDN.
To add insult to injury, a hundred USD only nets you like 9 mil, enough to buy and upgrade maybe one supercar. To anyone who works and makes their own money, it really is insulting.
I'd argue not only is it okay to hack, you've got a moral duty to not give Rockstar (or Take Two, more accurately) any more money than you already have. It only encourages such shitty business practices.
Sure, you could argue, with merit, that they've got to pay for new content and server infrastructure somehow. But if that really were their intent they wouldn't be so miserly with their shark cards.
[editline]31st August 2017[/editline]
If shark card rates were changed so that a dollar of real world money was equal to a million dollars in game, then it wouldn't be so bad.
