I played it a few months ago and it was fine, so either it's luck of the draw or it's working.

Nothing like going ghost and slowly coasting by a full red skull player with a truckload of cargo.

are there any scripts/trainers that work in SP without scripthook?

Just finished a few rounds of survival, sadly died on the last wave of the Sawmill one. My pals died and I was running around in the rain trying to finish the wave, minigun wielding hillbillies at every turn. Someone was playing The Final Countdown through the mic :v: at one point one of the minigun users randomly ran up some stairs literally 2 feet infront of my cover revving up, arguably the most GTA has ever scared me

If more people were like me, R* would be fucked after this modpocalypse. Me before modpocalypse: I will buy RDR2 special edition on PS4, then later on PC (both at or near full price). vs. me now: I will still almost definitely buy RDR2, when it's on a Steam sale for $20 or less.

GTA4 has problems recognizing graphics cards with more than 2GB of vram. To fix this, add "-availablevidmem x" to the game's launch options on steam with x being the amount of memory you want the game to use, for example 4 for 4GB, 8 for 8GB, etc.

I'm only going to buy it for the SP.

I might look into it on console for like 10 minutes but if I get it on PC I'm not even going to bother because by the time I start playing there'll be plenty of people running around with trainers instakilling me and the ones who aren't doing that all have miniguns attached to their carriages or something

I haven't looked into how people were using it online.

for being a tacked on next gen feature, first person car dashboards have a lot of functional detail, ABS, Check engine, turn signals all work.

I liked how even with this ban wave and disabled hacks, you still get instances of people killing multiple people at the same time and teleporting around the map, I mean someone wasn't even being remotely subtle, he just pops up on a building next to me then instantly flies across the map, and no, it wasn't a glitch.

Aside from patching some of the more malicious shit that popped up in the weeks before Gunrunning, I don't think Rockstar really put in anything special to combat the usual shit that people do with trainers. A couple days after the update dropped I already saw a bunch of people playing with unreleased vehicles in a public session and I've also seen assholes harassing players with trainers too.

Because GTAO is P2P, R* can't do fuck all about trainers except for brute-force solutions like constantly scanning memory for trainer script injection or scanning your hard drive for known trainers. If you can get your client to claim something is happening, the other clients in the session accept it without question, because there's no single authoritative control in P2P. The client is trusted. Never trust the client. It's an incredibly naive implementation, but it works on consoles where you actually have to hack the machine to get cheats to work. On PC, drop a dll into the game folder and tada, you're a licensed money distributor. It would cost a ton to re-engineer the entire networking suite for the PC release, but I'm sure R* and Take2 [I]knew[/I] this would happen, and they figured that the market would blindly accept such trash. And the hundreds of millions of dollars in sold Shark Cards proves them right, sadly.

[editline]21st June 2017[/editline] and not entirely sure if it will be, the official site is down.
