Grand Theft Auto Series Megathread V12 - GTA Online: We Have a Hacking Problem

I find bike stunt races really annoying. There's way too many opportunities to do that weird half-flip which gives the bike a ridiculous amount of forward momentum for absolutely no reason, and that shit has been in the game since day 1.

Does that work with the oppressor? I can't seem to get it to fly like the other bikes will even with the wing retracted.

That's actually why I like bike stunt races the most :v: When you're playing with a bunch of people that know how to do that glitch, the races can get pretty intense. Stunt races already feel slow, so anything to get more speed is good in my book.
I cannot believe I just lost first place in a non-contact race, by colliding with someone in a loop. What the ever loving shit
i'm the person who accidentally bumps into my closest competition, almost always in midair (and i swear it's really a fucking accident), but still use the opportunity to take first and then after the race, profusely apologize to the person i hit in the text chat, to which i typically receive no response
When the Nero first came out, and the second round of stunt races were added, I had a really good bunch of pub races where I was pretty much nose-to-tail with 3 other Nero Custom drivers that were very well behaved. Any time the odd crash happened they would wait, and there wasn't too much tryharding over getting a win.
The real strange thing was that catch-up was on, and slipstream off. So positions in the top 4 were pretty much constantly shuffling on every straight-line section, and the simplicity of the tracks keeping us all packed together. Some of the closest racing I've had even in a non-pub setting. Usually catch-up is a blight on any race, but when it's a level playing field and the opposition is civilised, it can work.

Multiple times in non-contact races it'll randomly turn contact on, and sometimes turn it off again...always been like that as far as I can tell. Better than the catch up glitch where you keep your first-place speed penalty even when people overtake you, so you constantly fall short of jumps until it magically resolves itself ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
man I sure love it when I am unable to complete a heist because the loading screen doesn't even stop loading for whatever fucking reason
It took over a week, but I managed to get my arms stock in my bunker to like 98% before I got impatient and sold it all. Made a bit over a million bucks, which is nice. I've made back half of what it cost to buy the thing now...

I haven't collided with anyone in a loop in normal races in months, but now suddenly I smash into someone in non-contact, the one place I expect to be safe

hardest target is the easiest money i've ever made in this game in the mere account of people not being able to aim
mute the video if you're not a fan of the tone of danny brown's voice
well deserved mate. i don't think i could ever pull these off myself, except maybe maybe running doomsday.
it's been my favorite gamemode in a while too outside of freemode grinding. only got a chance to play it twice with a social club friend.

as much as i like being able to sell millions of dollars, upkeep costs are the only digression i have with bunkers.
nicer than buying crates and getting them blown up at least.
Wow I thought this was dead

Christ that is an impressive clone of the character creator.
It is the normal character creator isn't it?

Seriously. Between the apartment, the office, the facility and the bunker, I have over $2000 a fuggin day in maintenance fees.

Can you really blame them when the aiming in GTAV is pretty wank
I can hit a lot of things in any video game but GTAV is just impossible sometimes
Doesn't help that movement is the way it is and you can't even switch shoulder to aim towards a left corner
are there any hackers giving out money at all anymore? i got given a bunch ages back, but i stopped playing after rockstar removed it (some time after the wacky races update). i kinda want to start playing again but they added so much extremely expensive shit and i don't want to have to grind for it.
pc btw.

Q cover fire alleviates this somewhat, but yeah.
Q cover fire alleviates this somewhat, but yeah.
That requires cover though
If you're trying to like, shoot off of a building or something, you can only shoot to things on your left, not your right
Which gives an advantage to whoever approaches you from somewhere that is on your left since they see you before you do

Money droppers are rare now-a-days, I think the Doomsday Update brought in some new protections against it.
I've only ran into two money droppers since I reinstalled about a month ago and they had to spawn physical cash bags around me and even then the game stopped me from getting any more than 60K before it spat out some bullshit error along the lines of "you've received too many transactions, the rockstar servers can't sync it to your account" or some variation thereof.
That error is really bullshit too, because once you get it you absolutely cannot pick up any amount of cash afterwards without getting it again and the only fix is to hop to a new session. It's really annoying because money droppers will continuously drop money you can't collect on you and you can't get to the chat to tell them to stop.
Droppers like that are still hard to come by but do exist. Some guy tried to use one of those on me a week ago but forgot he should force everyone out of their vehicles. So I was flying around in my deluxo as bags of money fell on it.
You guys think Rockstar will ever make another Manhunt game?
You guys think Rockstar will ever make another Manhunt game?
I highly doubt it. Those games are from an era where Rockstar was still young and edgy. Also, that level of violence with current gen graphics wouldn't fly. It would just be LiveLeak: The Game

Thats just about the only reason one would want a new Manhunt game
I learned falling bags of money will break the rotors off a helicopter.
If you guys spend more than two hours grinding money droppers because you're desperate for cash, even at minimum wage it's less of a waste of time to just buy a hack.
Not saying you should do it but having infinite money does make you realise how shallow the game is.
Canis Kamacho now available for $345,000.
Chernobog, Half-Track, Weaponized Tampa, and AA Trailer on sale.
Hardest Target, Motor Wars, Occupy, and Slashers have double cash and RP.
Might be missing some stuff since tunables updated while I was loading into online.

Theres so many free menus with the silent money options its stupid, its only worth paying for a buy one if you want one that uses the other silent method but even free menus are using that now.

ok so completely removing the central game mechanic that gives it any sort of utility whatsoever somehow makes the game shallow? I don't understand. I mean, you can apply the exact same argument to any other game. If you had infinite money in any elder scrolls game, the entire game is broken and shallow and pay to win. If you had infinite money in any open world game where money is a means of upgrading and progression, yes, the game becomes shallow.
But I think where you miss the point is that if you cheat for money, you didn't actually play the game, and you can't make any qualitative judgement about whether it's shallow, because you didn't play. You literally skipped all the content that would have been there that you would have had to play through in order to get the money.
Literally everything in the game pays you to do it. The game just gives you free money left and right. For pretty much any variety of activity you can think of. Hell there's damn near a half a million bucks in just completing the single player flight school challenges alone.
