Grand Theft Auto Series Megathread V12 - GTA Online: We Have a Hacking Problem
I would have been there forever if a random player in a buzzard hadn't passed and destroyed the AI buzzards. Given the disposition of the average GTA:O player, this was nothing short of the miraculous return of Jesus Christ.
This good samaritan has probably suffered through the source missions like we all have, and was being a real standup gent.
Usually it's worth ignoring the supplied vehicle the mission gives you for a Hydra (if you have one) to pick stuff up in hover mode or a Buzzard (everybody really should have one), and in certain cases the Molotok for it's excellent air brake and armour upgrade to tank any rough landings.
They have definitely made certain missions harder to solo in bunker and hangar sources since Doomsday, to the point where buying a heavily armoured vehicle is almost mandatory.
if that's a good samaritan, I might have found god himself, then.
let me tell you the story of zilcho.
two weeks ago or so, I finally saved enough to get the biggest and most distance-efficient vehicle warehouse, since i'm still fairly new to the whole CEO business. as I was filling up the warehouse to maximum capacity, I rarely got fucked with (most people have better things to do nowadays) and if I did get blown up by a passing jet on my way to my car, I wouldn't say anything or fight back, even after repeated offenses. generally that gets any ne'er do wells off my tail.
on my way to the "cops pulled over the car on the side of the highway" import scenario, I got blown up as I approached and a few times beforehand by someone named "zilcho_" a hearty level 622 or something like that -- and as a ~150 with plenty of hours, I can hold my own on combat, but I know better to engage with this scenario especially. he apologized, saying, "sorry, didn't know you were on a mission." and buzzed off. curious why he'd just senselessly blow up people when it wasn't hitting them where it hurt, but whatever, these scenarios are dime a dozen.
later on, as I continued sourcing cars, I noticed a russian stealth chopper (can't recall the name) tailing me. obviously fucked if I engage, but i'll just do what I usually do and carry on. then, I noticed it was zilcho. he tailed me to my warehouse, hopped out as I popped out of my warehouse and gave me a thumbs up. I gave him one too, and he graciously drove me to my office.
this unspoken process continued a few times, until I realized he was deliberately protecting me from any harm and was acting as my own personal chauffeur. every time i'd hop off my maze bank roof, he'd be at the bottom, waiting for me with a new vehicle each time. and not just any kind of waiting, he'd park his car with the passenger side facing my landing. he'd drop me off passenger side closest to the entrance. he'd drive the vehicles back to the warehouse, flawlessly, when possible.
since the first initial enocunters, zilcho added me to social club, and in just about every play session since then, he silently enters servers i'm in, and continues in his guardian angel role. I hire him as an associate, and we go on with business. when it's time to sell, I tell him how long the cooldown is, and he quietly sits in my office after saying "cool" or "neat." sometimes when I parachute too late, he'll say "oof." sometimes we'll talk about the insanity that the AI does. every time I see him, I tell him that i'm happy to see him and I hope he's doing well. every time we're done with the monotony, I wish him well and thank him for hanging out. we give each other thumbs ups and waves.
you're the best, zilcho

Apperantly someone had gotten access to a prototype build of GTA V for PS3, unfortunately files are messed up (names, folder structure) but they are working, so the build can't be played itself atm, but there's files needed for it

Karin 190Z is now available for $900,000.
Pariah, Raiden, and XA-21 on sale.
I don't see any jobs on double cash/RP, but I haven't checked freemode activities yet.

Looking at the changes in tunables, it looks like biker businesses might be boosted.
Also, the Comet SR is the last dripfeed vehicle of this update and you can probably expect that next week.

What's the fastest way to unlock all vehicle mods?
Getting to lvl100 for turbo takes forever.
What's the fastest way to unlock all vehicle mods?

In all honesty? A mod menu with a recovery option for it.
Second fastest is win trading on a really small track (like that Prison one). I thought getting the Turbo required 50 race wins anyway or did they change it?
So umm, where do I find the mod menus that give you money without getting you banned?

The menus that don't get you banned immediately are the paid ones.
Better join r/GTAGivers discord and just look for money drop lobbies. Works far more safe than using a mod menu yourself.

So I was going to remake the Devil Z from Wangan Midnight

Until I realised, the vehicle menu options gave me a rear left and rear right door option. Now, why is this an option?

It's just the menu, I think it shows that for all vehicles, regardless of door count.
It's just the menu, I think it shows that for all vehicles, regardless of door count.
It will only show the doors that you can open. 2 car doors will only show front left/right doors. However in this case the "rear" doors are linked to those storage container things.
FYI people you can open the rear door on a personal Cargobob/Titan with the vehicle door menu

Isn't one of those sides where you can get an upgrade for exhausts to come out?
So I've only had the game a short while and thought i'd try the online out. The grind is obvious but I had 2 weird things happen that you'll see in the video below

Guessing this is what kinda stuff the thread title refers to

tbh random money droppers are the nicest thing you can encounter in pubs.
R* did some patching so even with best cheat menus the drops are 2500$ per object. I heard it was a lot more out of control on first few months of pc release. Something like 50k$ with almost no restriction for pick up rate.

Fine with me as long as I don't get banned due to basketball overdose.
Still wonder about the 2nd clip though, looks like someone decided the city was their property and removed anyone who didn't own it (you see a popup as the screen fades). I was more confused about how it appeared to sync with the music.

This is how Hackerbux was done back then. Most lobbys had multiple people handing out money.

Yo guys taking into account I have practically everything unlocked (due to some $OPPORTUNITIES$) and money isn't a problem, what would be the best way to help you guys out? I'm on PC.
Just kind of tired of having no goal. Playing with you guys and helping you achieve someone else's goal sounds really appealing to me now (on top of being able to show-off and share all my toys).

It's kinda sad to realize GTAO uses massive grind to cover for complete lack of endgame content.
But if you feel bored - i'd appreciate some help with unlocking car mods with races.
You know the grind is bad when you can barely even quick match into a doomsday heist/setup because nobody can afford the facility.
I feel more like the grind and ridiculous overpricing of everything was just their super lazy way of dealing with the money droppers.
They haven't stopped the tools, they've embraced them. The Orbital Cannon is just the same fucking hack that cheaters used to kill everyone in the server at once.

i never had the impression doomsday heists were in demand
maybe i ought to host some
i mean, regular heists i never tried popping into because you either fill a 3 man team and get kicked immediately because you're random or don't use voice, or nobody ever joins you and the other dude hosting. on top of that, loading screens.
The problem with doomsday heists are they don't pay much more than regular heists, half the shit has to be done in a fucking public lobby, they're harder than regular heists, and you can't use body armor. There's really not a whole lot of reason to play them.

And you can just buy all the new gear outright (especially if you have modded money you want to spend) unlike the original heists where you had to play them to get things like the rebreather etc.
The last one pays really darn well if you have someone good enough to do it with duo.
I'm okay with replaying the first act of the new heists, but I don't think I'd want to touch the other two acts again. The Avenger mission, RCV mission, Chernobog mission, and the finale of the third act(specifically the hacking section) are pretty fucking terrible to play.

I never have that much issue with the chernobog mission even though it is boring.
But the hacking section gets pretty trivial if ou have a guy that is good at shooting. just gotta keep in mind that the person hacking needs to always move. if he always runs to the hacking objective, most enemies won't attack him. Also for the first 3 hack objectives i have found it best to always travel counter clockwise around the room, and then clockwise for the last one. only stop if there is an enemy closeby and then only to kill them with a headshot.
If the hacker stays in one spot and tries to fend off the enemies then they will die.
