[QUOTE=ulvemann43;53159183]I never have that much issue with the chernobog mission even though it is boring.[/QUOTE] I don't really find any of the missions I listed to be very difficult. It's just that all of them are very boring and if something happens to go wrong, you usually end up losing a decent amount of progress which is annoying as fuck.
The world would be a much better place if you could fire the guns of the Chernobog while it's moving.
[QUOTE=ulvemann43;53159183]I never have that much issue with the chernobog mission even though it is boring.[/quote] With the chernobog setup, you absolutely need someone who is both competent in using the truck as well as knowing how to complete the objective. Most randoms I've seen will just try to sit down and shoot oncoming barrages instead of defending ULP like you're supposed to. Worse yet, trying to fire missiles on helicopters directly above you where the truck can't aim, or never even using the missles in the first place. That is the sole reason why it is ass. And [I]then[/I] you have to deal with people in the ramp buggy getting shot and killed with barely any protection, because R* was so smart to disable drive by weapons while driving the chernobog. [QUOTE=ulvemann43;53159183]But the hacking section gets pretty trivial if ou have a guy that is good at shooting. just gotta keep in mind that the person hacking needs to always move. if he always runs to the hacking objective, most enemies won't attack him. Also for the first 3 hack objectives i have found it best to always travel counter clockwise around the room, and then clockwise for the last one. only stop if there is an enemy closeby and then only to kill them with a headshot. If the hacker stays in one spot and tries to fend off the enemies then they will die.[/QUOTE] This. The enemies are programmed to go after the biggest "lethal" threat. They won't go after the hacker (or maybe just send 1 guy or two his direction) until he attacks for himself. After that, it's just learning how to cover fire. I usually stick by the potted plants close to the servers, since they have good all around coverage and confuses the bot pathfinding. Keep weapon ranges in mind, too. While a carbine will be a player's best asset for head shots, the Combat MG is good too for dealing crucial damage when you miss the head. And if you can, give the Assault Shotgun an evaluation. The head shots on that are just as rapid as the MG, and aiming at anything else will at least stumble your opponent. Be aware of the tiny magazine capacity though. [editline]26th February 2018[/editline] [sp]Shotgun shells are also remarkably cheap to shoot, too, at $8 for 24 shells. (Not sure what BBcode is for strikethrough)[/sp] $24 for 16 shells. Unlike the carbine /mg rounds which (upgraded to mk2) cost a little over a dollar per shot
Well, playing with randoms is also a big misstake from the get-go, i never play with randoms by the sheer reason that they're mostly idiots.
Well, it seems Take2 has taken their second shot (pun not intended) at paid mod menus again. Elusive, Epsilon and D3sk1ng have been taken down (Elusive has a Take down notice on their site - not surprising since they were basically Force but with a different name), Epsilon now only makes non-GTA hacks (?) so users can still use it, but no one can buy it and D3sk1ng is stony silent with a LOT of unhappy users. Supposedly one of the menus had a kind of "plea deal" wherein they ratted out the other menus so they could still continue to exist (maybe Epsilon as users can still use it, but with no option to buy it - no confirmation on that however). Haven't seen it mentioned, so it maybe "fresh off the press" (even though it happened ~7 hours ago). Infamous has also been struck with a DMCA from Take2 - but they've just released an update which will allow the menu to continue to function after the site goes down (which is pretty funny). [B][I]*Edit* [/I][/B] Ok I have no idea what's going on now. Both Elusive and Epsilon are back online again (C&D notice has been taken down). So far, it seems existing users can continue to use the "menus" until the next update comes out and the menus break (naturally) and there'll be a flood of angry users. D3sk1ng is dead however. It's a very strange way of doing it since the first wave of C&D notices stopped them in their tracks, but this time they're keeping it limping along until the next update (rebellion maybe?). So for those who hated being in modded lobbies - you have a reason to rejoice and for modders who lost access to a product they paid for - there's other menus out there. I think we've just got to assume once a menu gets "too big", this is what will happen to it so don't spend too much and be wise with the time spent using it!
Just let people have fun already, you greedy fucks. Won't be surprised if RDR2 online will be filled with massive grind for everything and "shark card" microtransactions bullshit.
[QUOTE=Hammer7;53162546]Just let people have fun already, you greedy fucks. Won't be surprised if RDR2 online will be filled with massive grind for everything and "shark card" microtransactions bullshit.[/QUOTE] I can't remember much considering it was several months ago I left the Epsilon discord, but I'm pretty sure Epsilon had the usual griefing features of "spawn clones", "crash game" and "explode fucking everyone while blaming some innocent shlub who's probably going to get banned". Kinda understandable to remove IMO, but one thing I have a really hard time swallowing though is the fact that they CAN just take shit down like this on a whim. Cheats I can understand, but where is the line drawn? They tried to shut down clearly singleplayer only mods for no apparent reason other than "fuck you" to anyone either wanting to test-drive cars, or even make videos using cinematic tools better than what Rockstar provides. Where's the line in the sand? Are we going to see mods blatantly stolen and put into the game as DLC at some point?
Comet SR now available for $1,145,000. This is the last dripfeed car in the update so if they keep doing what they've been doing since GR, you can probably expect an update next month. I can't imagine the next update being anything interesting, but I certainly wouldn't mind being wrong in this case. [editline]d[/editline] Volatol, P-996 Lazer, Nightshark, Insurgent Pick-Up, Riata, Yosemite, and Seabreeze on sale. Double cash and RP on Transform Races and Air Quota. Between now and March 6th, the free cash is meant to be given out.

But snapping a neck to anyone who is desperate for a bit of funbucks just to buy a single fucking car in a game where the main idea was to be able to steal any vehicle and save it as your own looks for me more like a dick move. Not to mention reputation level locks and their massively hyped "heists" giving pitiful amount of cash compared what we have in singleplayer.
Are transform races fun?
[QUOTE=Zethiwag;53163567]Are transform races fun?[/QUOTE] If you like most of the Rockstar stunt races and special vehicle races, you'll probably find them to be okay. If you think that the Rockstar races are too simple or are very boring, you probably won't think the transform races are any different.
[QUOTE=Zethiwag;53163567]Are transform races fun?[/QUOTE] I like them. Some basic stunt driving/flying, but the boat sections are the real slog, IMO.
Screw transforms. Special vehicle missions are on double rp and $ now.
Part of me wants to get a hangar with a workshop and just go flying around in an Me-163 now that I actually have a decent amount of money. Problem is I'm kinda scared that the next update which is most likely coming soon will render it completely obsolete. My Me-163 is all well and good until they add in the Su-25 with dual explosive miniguns, guided bombs and the fastest speed of all aircraft that needs a Government Hangar or whatever it is they'll add in.

It's not like you're missing out on any sales for hangars or the aircraft you're looking to buy right now. [editline]d[/editline] Speaking of updates, qabeta has been updated so we can probably expect an update soon(even though it was already obvious with the end of another three month dripfeed).
I don't know what they could possibly add next. Doomsday felt like the end.
Aliens. Remember there's still a "big" thing agent 14 has planned for us, promised after gunrunning. I don't think that was doomsday.
[QUOTE=MightyLOLZOR;53172278]I don't know what they could possibly add next. Doomsday felt like the end.[/QUOTE] I belive Ill gotten gains III will be next. The focus at R* is expensive everything and with a setting that is about rich people they get what they want. There are no limitations to what they car introduce (e.g military) because they can always justify it by just saying [I]"Thats what rich people want, they dont care if its useless or anything. If they want it they get it"[/I]. The best example for that is the Luxor Deluxe, its just a golden Luxor with champagne and cigars but (mostly hackers) still bought it.
The Deluxor is a great party plane.
[QUOTE=ulvemann43;53172330]Aliens.[/QUOTE] I remember reading something about three DLCs being planned for GTA V SP. One was the Doomsday Heist stuff which was confirmed to be recycled SP content, another was something about zombies, and the last one was about aliens. If the latter two DLCs were actually real, I wouldn't be surprised if we see the content of them recycled for GTAO. I'm not sure if we'd be seeing anything that big for the first update of 2018 though. Of course, it's a big if on whether those two DLCs are actually real. I only remember seeing stuff that could be linked to the Doomsday Heists from the SP DLC leaks way back.
My expectations for 2018 so far is this. Either we get a DLC in march, and one in June, or we get none in March and one in June. [B]If[/B] we get a DLC this month, i expect it to be a simple content drop, nothing particularly new, only new cars and maybe a weapon or so, think the first updates GTA Online ever got. But in either case i expect the June DLC to be a larger DLC and i suspect we will be getting something new akin to heists in that one, i feel that may be the theme we have this year, like how weaponized vehicles were 2017's theme and VIP system expansions was 2016's theme. What we may get is two heist DLCs with military or average stuff and then a big alien thing around christmas. That's just my predictions, we'l see if that comes to pass.
MkII upgrades for Desert Eagle, Advanced Rifle and Heavy Shotgun next dlc plz.
Are there any MkII weapons you guys would recommend? I already have the Special Carbine and Heavy Sniper, as those are the guns I use most. The only other one I can think of is the Combat MG, for when I need to lay down an absurd amount of fire.

It has the best range and it's really accurate.

I don't think anything else is really necessary, but the MK2 Pump Shotgun is kinda fun with explosive rounds. The MK2 Marksman Rifle can be fun too since you can replace the sniper scope that the normal rifle has.

To give some scale, an NPC buzzards tail rotor breaks in one shot with FMJ rounds.

To everyone bitching about how bad the game is: go on LinkedIn and search for the rockstar employees, 90% of them are blatant degenerate basement weebs and probably have no clue what they're doing
[QUOTE=lNloruzenchi;53173749]Huh I wasn't aware the rotors could even break to gunfire Is that specific to FMJ rounds or could anyone with a combat MG take one out?[/QUOTE] I think all tail rotors except for the covered ones(look at the Frogger or Valkyrie for examples) can be broken with any gun. It's a pretty useful way to get rid of AI choppers quickly. It also works on helicopters that are piloted by players, but it usually takes more shots before it breaks.
[QUOTE=AngryChairR;53173753]To everyone bitching about how bad the game is: go on LinkedIn and search for the rockstar employees, 90% of them are blatant degenerate basement weebs and probably have no clue what they're doing[/QUOTE] I'm from Edinburgh and used to watch the R* North programmers working in their old office (they moved to one near Dynamic Earth after 5 was released. It's a literal bunker...). It was pretty funny because when dupe exploits were released, you could see them working (watching from Calton Hill into their office) on patches over the weekend to try and patch the exploit out. While there's some talented programmers at R* North... there's also some questionable code they've released. For example, when rocket boost first came out, they checked [I][B]EVERY VEHICLE[/B][/I] possible whether it had a booster and whether it was ready instead of just getting the vehicle hash and comparing it to the list of "known" vehicles with rocket boost etc. They did fix that, but it took them 2 updates...
