What version you on? 4? :/
Yeah I've installed the most recent version, sorry, 0002, and then patchfixes for 3 and 4
5 out, might help? :)
wait did you just make a build patch solely for me
Installed 0004 and it still crashes on death :(
so how far off is this intel bug from being fixed? i'm guessing that's my problem. i wanna make an epic playthrough cut down to 6 minutes put to this song
Hey Lemmy, is this a release so that you can check out the fans reviews and change some stuff before the Steam release or is this the 'Official Release'?
Packing ammo (especially 9mm) 1 by 1 is kinda tedius [editline]29th April 2013[/editline] Man what a predicament Sandbox doesn't give me zombie options in first build, game crashes on zombie death on 0004, and 0005 doesn't even launch for me.
Was the ability to go through windows removed? It seems like only zombies can do it now.
Was the ability to go through windows removed? It seems like only zombies can do it now.
Works for me, oddly enough you cant go through windows that have curtains though.
Was the ability to go through windows removed? It seems like only zombies can do it now.
Hold E and rub yourself against a window for a bit
Hold E and rub yourself against a window for a bit
It's strangely fitting that I did this in my underwear since my character was overheating and I removed all his clothes :v:

I read that sheet ropes are problematic, but do they ever work? I've broken my knees three times because I couldn't escape a second floor.
Problems I've encountered so far: The inventory is a bit.. weird. Like looting a stack of 20 9MM rounds takes goddamned forever because your character feels the need to inspect every individual round before taking it with you. And again when he's putting it in a pack. Character recreation and crashing upon death: This has been addressed dozens of times through the thread, but is still an issue. Every single window and door is locked. and you usually die before you find a weapon or a means to defend yourself. You seem to get hungry/thirst faster than usual. has this been changed? Even with sight turned down to "poor" in the sandbox options menu, the zombies still have the ability to pinpoint your exactly position from 500 yards. usually spotting you before you see them. Has sneaking been implemented? And yes I know this is not 3.0, but 2.9, just giving feedback.
starting out as the construction worker has made my survival time go from 5 hours to about 3 days probably because i am a burly man with no shirt.

I'm hoping they fix up a number of issues with the UI, many times I feel like I'm fighting it to get done what I need to do, usually when it comes to looting. Otherwise it's a broken test build and we shouldn't be too mad over it. When many of the problems are fixed the game will be completely playable. I had a ton of fun one game when I spawned in a house with a fire axe and I was able to fight with zombies for a bit. As for now I'm getting frustrated when I can't go more than 5 minutes before the game crashes, or I get caught in a corner and zombies mob me, grabbing items from containers stops working until I reset the game, or I end up going down a dead end road to nowhere and die of dehydration.

It's only when I run that they all notice me.
Every single window and door is locked. and you usually die before you find a weapon or a means to defend yourself.
I've found quite a lot of unlocked doors, but I think I've been lucky.
Woken up and downloading 004 now, was the overheating a bug in the first release? I kept overheating in my house after a a few ingame hours. Either way, this version is hella hard, but hella fun.
Only issues I've had are: -Couldn't put magazine into pistol. -Reloading world reset zombies to their normal behavior. -Barricading crashed me. My biggest problems I have with it: -Not being able to perceive a zombie directly behind me, or slightly out of view. -Perception in general. I understand my perception would limit me, but I'm sure I should have a slight idea of what directly around me in a certain radius. And I can't even see that far down the road. It feels like I'm wearing a cover over my head. Thin enough to see through, but not enough to see far.
You can climb through a window and get stuck in the counter top in some kitchens. Only way out is to climb the way you came.
I've noticed 90% of the windows can be opened if you just hold E for about 10 seconds, Then release it and try again. [editline]30th April 2013[/editline] I've now survived about 7 days, Killed over a 100 zombies but I still can't use a fucking pistol. I've set reloading to easy but if I press R 10 bullets get removed from my inventory and I still can't shoot.
How do you switch between the weapons in primary and secondary slot?
Survived for 3 days in this house, but it seems I've got squatters in my back yard. [editline]30th April 2013[/editline] After those few fixes overnight it's fixed most of my issues. You're no longer running forever but the zombies are still dangerous. A few things I learned was that you can open almost any window without breaking it if you pull on it long enough. Another is, sprinting is fucking loud, don't do it unless you're already being chased.
So how does crafting and such work in this build? Or construction for that matter.
If you have the right items you should be able to right click on one to craft something. If it's carpentry you need to have the right stuff and a hammer in your primary for the build options to show up.
Cool thanks, And how can I get planks and such? Can I chop down trees? Also just took out a small horde 20ish zombies with a baseball bat :v:
