i'm fine for waiting until the stable release is out before playing, given how long I've waited so far :v
i'm fine for waiting until the stable release is out before playing, given how long I've waited so far :v
To be honest, In the 6+ hours I've played this release, I haven't crashed once and the only bug I had was that you can't use your inventory every once in a while (Like every 40 min) which is resolved by a quick restart. (On and sometimes the attack animation isn't shown, Also requires a restart) [editline]30th April 2013[/editline] Although mighty fuck the crash on dying is annoying.

Oh and please fix the crash when barricading [editline]30th April 2013[/editline] I neeeed my zombie fortress.
hey is the latest version still 005
hey is the latest version still 005
Yep
Is RC3 released?
Wow....just wow...I really need to get back in, everything is so exciting.
Is RC3 released?
RC 2.9 is. It's basically RC3 without the NPCs.
So intel bug... any status on it?
Really really really annoying how it's like the sandbox options don't seem to do anything. Turn zombies down to "low" and they are still goddamned everywhere in packs of 30-100 Sight, smell, and hearing don't change anything. They will still have a telepathic sense of your whereabouts at all times. Why does your character get hungry so unbelievably fast now? seriously, I went from "very well fed" to "a bit peckish" in 2 in-game hours, which wouldn't be a problem if food was more plentiful, but it doesn't seem to be.
Is there a way to combat overheating
I can't wait to get NPC's back. I have fond memories of being holed up in a shack, with a horde of zombies trying to get in. Me, preparing for my last stand, when the sound of a shotgun draws all the zombies away. looking out the window and seeing a poor bastard get eaten alive.
I can't stay alive for even a day cause there's huge packs of zombies around every corner and door.
i can't even play. also i don't even know for sure what's causing it
I wonder if there's any way they could make combat fun? i mean, all i do when i see a single zombie is spam click them with whatever i have equipped, then it's basically waiting for it (or me) to die
because we need to vary tactics and chain combos when battling foes who are by definition mindless combat isn't there for combat's sake, it's there as a means to an end. and i think they did a good job from what i can see keeping it that way. this game isn't about killing things, it's about surviving. [editline]30th April 2013[/editline] btw are any devs lurking, i can post my error report again if you want to look at it...
Will suck dicks for a barricading fix
Will suck dicks for a barricading fix
I'll let Lemmy announce when that's hotfixed then ;)

Barricading bug fixed and will be in next update, which will be tonight but I'm not sure what time.

I survived for 7 hours after running from the city way out into the forests, when the road finally disappeared I found a lumber yard in the middle of nowhere with a few warehouses FILLED with everything I could have ever wanted. Except food.
Are the menus now placeholders, or will they just get improved? Pretty unintuitive right now.

Entered a room and couldn't get out due to the door disappearing while zombies walked through magically. Now i know how the sims felt.
Are the menus now placeholders, or will they just get improved? Pretty unintuitive right now.
Everything in the game is in the process of constant improvement :) I wouldn't call them 'placeholders' though, per se, but definitely version 1.
Man, I played this way back in the day in a friend's house, game was so cool but I had forgotten all about it, looks really nice right now.

I'd assume that's where the UI graphics is at - I'd love a shot at re-skinning them.
[t]http://oi40.tinypic.com/2mwttok.jpg[/t] New high score. Still irritated about the food/hunger ratio. You lose nourishment faster than you can gain it. Like, eating a bag of per-ta-ter chips gives you about 10 less tummy-rumblies, but by the time you crack open another bag and start the eating "animation" you've already lost the foodpoints.
I once put 40 bullets into a cabinet, I starved.
