Sayin we're talking about inventory, I think something like Jagged Alliance 2's inventory system would work in this well:

Certain objects can fit in certain slots, some can't, and some slots allow objects to be stacked. So like you could stick loads of pistol shells inside your pockets, but say only 2 magazines in your pocket. If you had a bag it would open something along the lines of a tetris style box.
That said I don't have too much of a problem with what's in place at the minute as long as it'll be refined, and i'm sure it will.
This would be AMAZING.
And I'm not just saying this because JA2 is one of my favorite games of all time.
Just found out you can make a Cheese Sammich

How do you exactly craft things in this version?
How do you exactly craft things in this version?
Once you have the ingredients in your inventory right click one of them and the option should appear

I really wish i could just forget about that damn Strawberry
hey lemmy, when can we get fire back? :)
When NPC's are added we should be able to take control of a member of our team when they die, then we'd have to experience the sadness (or happiness) of the person, it would also mean we could use all our loot and continue the world as we left it
It would be the end of your story but not the end of the whole story
And maybe a diary at the end that shows all the times people died or when attacks happened like:
02/11/13 12:32: Ben received a fatal bite
02/13/13 01:02: Ben reanimated, forcing Kate to take him out for good
It would be good after you've played a world for hours to look through the whole story

Shouldn't zombies be more aware at daytime, and less at night? Being that you can't see much of anything when it gets dark.
I'd love to see optionally blind zombies.
Why is it that i randomly stop taking any items? I cannot grab or move any items at all and have to relog. This needs to be fixed...
Plz fix the intel problems for us integrated graphics card peasants
I'd love to see optionally blind zombies.
that would actually be really cool
having a feature for nocturnal zombies (a la I Am Legend) would also be awesome

maybe an option for Roamers and Lurkers (but not using those words)
Roamers would walk around in the light and attack like normal zombies
Lurkers would sit/lie in the shade, meaning they're harder to see but you can automatically do the downward attack and kill them easier
Is the current map an extension of the old one or a completely new one?
Is the current map an extension of the old one or a completely new one?
New one, entirely remade, but i think there are old parts thrown in, i've walked into a few places and thought "i've been here before"
It's weird we got a massive extension on the old map but never got an actual release of it.
the problem with the new map is I only spawn in like 3 different places...
I made a mod. (Weapon spawner)

It was supposed to spawn all the items in the game but I literally just spent hours trying to get a scroll bar to show up, but failed.
Anyway, download link is in the thread:

That's too bad, I love the old one since it was much more detailed. I'd rather use it for now until the new one is at least nearly done.

How do you make it reappear if you closed it? :c
How do you make it reappear if you closed it? :c
You gotta load up the save again.
I should probably make it pop up if a key is pressed, shouldn't be hard to do.
Edit:
Done, re-download if you want the updated version. Push enter on the numpad to open it.
I get the "Loading Characters texturepack" error while running the new RC.
Wow, tried to play with 28 Days Later type sprinters with 0-30 sec mortality and instant reanimation.
Haven't been able to stay alive for even an hour cause there's still like 10 zombies around every corner even when they're set to low.
If you're using a long range melee weapons like a bat or a rolling pin you can get a knock down really easily by sprinting whil holding your weapon up, then when you attack they should be knocked over making killing Zombies quite easy
Even works if you're standing still, hold sprint and swing away for almost instant kills
anyone else getting the problem of not being able to open containers or interact with items in containers at all? (seemingly randomly)
I just killed a zombie and found a locket on her, for a second i actually felt incredibly sad about what had just happened
zombies drop stuff?
zombies drop stuff?
Some of them do, they're shown as Shelfs in the pick up box thingy
Something that really needs to be fixed is the accuracy of your character with a melee weapon. It takes on average 10-20 hits with a baseball bat to kill a zombie, while getting bit trying to do so. There is no point to actually killing them. Its ridiculous.
