Is there any way I can sleep in my self crafted home?
Is there any way I can sleep in my self crafted home?
You need some kind of bed, sofa, or armchair in order to sleep, and I don't think you can push/pull objects anymore (iirc) so you may kinda be shit out of luck. Seriously hope in some later builds they let us build our own bedrolls or something.

wait ITS OUT?
That's kinda weird, They give you everything to build your own house but not the one essential thing to stay in it.
I guess the idea is that you're supposed to build off of houses or make little shacks or something. Could be wrong though because I never really used crafting for much other than the time I walled off a small neighborhood. Seriously though, craftable bedrolls made our of pillows and sheets and stuff would be awesome. It'd give the player so many more options in terms of where they could establish a base/how mobile they could be without worrying about becoming too dedicated to an area.
Is there a way to enter sneak/stealth mode? Every single time I spawn in the middle of some construction site and when I search for a house there are shittons of zombies around. [editline]2nd May 2013[/editline] Oh god you can kill stuff with a frying pan.
what brought this on if i may ask
i can't play the forum build, but that's not even it. i don't even know why.
wait ITS OUT?
Pfffffth, hahahahahah. Oh god... Really?

Fucking shit, My character with over 500 kills died due to infection
Hmm I feel like it's not worth it picking traits, every one is rather expensive and the negative traits stats are very high. [editline]3rd May 2013[/editline] The only one I really feel is a good choice is Graceful.
strong is good you can rip up dem windows for some easy lootin action

I'm Canadian. Does that mean May 6th 2011? Or June 5th 2011? EDIT: Mine is 5/17/11 (May 17 2011)
I bought mine at July 20th 2011. :v:

[editline]3rd May 2013[/editline] The only one I really feel is a good choice is Graceful.
light drinker + short temper will give you a +6 for virtually no drawbacks (until NPCs get more complicated.) Eagle eye, athletic, and strong are all excellent traits. Athletic allows you to run virtually forever. I do agree that perks need some balancing - at the moment you've got to take two major flaws to be good at something, but most people are good at a few things in real life anyway
Ugh, they really need to fix fast zombies, even when I set the distribution and stuff to be low as possible, I still get raped by nearly the same amount of zombies that start to horde me. I don't think fast zombies would be crowded up together like slow zombies would be. I might wait for the whole npc thing to come out before I try playing it again, it will probably thin out the huge clusters and make it more along the lines of 28 Days Later. Not many zombies to deal with, but when you do it's intense as fuck. And before anyone asks, yes I set everything to make sure there weren't clusters, but it still clustered like 20 together at once as if it were slow zombies.
yeah for some reason alcohol doesn't work anymore weird because I remember you could get intoxicated in earliter builds. it must have been purposefully dummied out.
i think that each class should start off with a few points. starting off with no points at all seemed kinda backwards to me. i understand the whole loss/gain thing but as it stands either make the debuffs give us more points, make buffs cost less or both [editline]3rd May 2013[/editline] i mean you have to be pretty dysfunctional just to be things people are normally
The traits system is the same I have seen on Cataclysm:DDA, it just needs a bit more of variety and the values need to be changed a bit.
I will never sleep again. I had to try playing with zombies being sprinters with eagle eyes and bloodhound noses. Oh and they could use doors too... also i think the intel bug fix should be in the next patch. people can't even play the game, i think that's a more pressing issue than not being able to cook salmon
Is there any ETA on the next big release yet? I guess it's coming soon, very excited about it!
also i think the intel bug fix should be in the next patch. people can't even play the game, i think that's a more pressing issue than not being able to cook salmon
Why would you even want to play if there's no salmon to cook....
As awesome Project Zomboid is looking, I think I'll hold off purchasing it until NPCs are in. No doubt by then a good portion of the more annoying bugs and balancing will be ironed out. Until then, it's Cataclysm DDA!
Why would you even want to play if there's no salmon to cook....
cause i bear grylls the fucker and eat everything raw dude!
I'm at work for 10 hours and there's still no new updates? ;-;
how do sheet ropes work? I fruitlessly clicked on a window with a sheet rope in my inventory but the interface gave me no way to do anything with it. So I proceeded to jump out of the window anyway - my character broke his leg and so I marched him off into a horde. but yea that could have been avoided had i been able to use the sheet rope idk [editline]2nd May 2013[/editline] fuck. magic zombie jumped through a window just as i closed it
Since everyone else was doing it, I wanted to fit in. On another note: I can't believe it's been nearly two years since then. Time really does fly by, I remember playing the first alpha for hours. I can honestly say, I got my value out of the first alpha alone. edit:
how do sheet ropes work?
