It's probably a bad thing that the older testing releases were more fun and more stable than the current testing release.

Go back and play those builds. Seriously.
In those builds the zombies weren't a threat at all and every hour you'd need to chomp down a new bit of food, and that's pretty much all you did in the thing.
They weren't anywhere near as good as they are now.

I doubt very much that whoever is behind that kickstarter can even begin to make a game. (It looks like those screenshots have been slapped together in PS)

Probably is just a money "grabber"... Hopefully they at least change the graphics if they are going to copy it this much...
It says in the thing that most of the money will be going to a new computer + software, so it does kind of sound iffy. But in the video there does appear to be some gameplay, so I'm not too sure what to think of it.
My verdict is that the guy really does want to make it, yet he either does not have the skill or experience, or he just did not invest as much time in the art assets for the prototype, hoping to sell you on the idea instead.
