So frustrated, I just want to play the damn 0006 build but it won't even run. Yet I can run the purchased copy I have through Desura.

If you send them the log, it could help them fix it. This is of course assuming that what you have is slightly different from the others with the same problem. Have they managed to track down the source of the intel bug yet?
Finally feeling like I'm accomplish stuff in Zomboid playing the new build, trying to play as smart as I can. Got a safe house going after I finally found a hammer on one of the zombies, and cleared out a pack of them trying to break in without getting a scratch. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/6lgbgnf.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/atLBrPj.jpg[/img_thumb] I'm raiding the home below me by smashing every single door in and gathering barricading supplies. Also, Lemmy come back! I really hope we (read: everyone else) didn't drive you away. EDITED: Added a word.

Is it just me, or does anyone else not like the fact that you can only see so much of the map until you move closer to the area? I hate that.. Just wish it would all be visible.

This will keep you in combat/stealth mode, and if you move your cursor out, you can see really far. Grabbing eagle vision will help even more with that.

Glad to hear you guys are working hard, I admire y'all And tree rustling sounds cool
I read a suggestions thread on indiestone earlier that actually sounded kind of cool. In sandbox, be able to choose to spawn with a group of survivors, and allowing you to name them, give them distinct personality traits (like you give your own character) and all that. I think it'd be neat. Spawn yourself with a fake family and desperately try to defend them.
This has been my best run so far....I spawned in a petrol station that had 3 baseball bats and 2 shotguns and lots of food/ammo (78 shells). Then I made my way to a two-storey hotel type place and found an axe! It's my lucky day. [editline]1[/editline] Fuck off, I just got bitten

How can i make a journal in RC2.9? I have a pen and an empty notebook in my main inventory screen.
reminds me of an idea i had like a year ago there could be some option or a cartographer skill. and if you happen to have writing material your character automatically draws a map, and you can mark specific locations on the map and comment on them
Ohhh you need to highlight the pen and the notebook, okay i got this.
welp first crash (except for after death) and it was while fighting a zombie with a kitchen knife
Got scratched and infection symptoms almost immideatly. Though it might be because my character is a hypochrondiac. Hmm.
Got scratched and infection symptoms almost immideatly. Though it might be because my character is a hypochrondiac. Hmm.
Hypo makes your character sick basically always. Can't speak for it now, but every 2 days I got super ill on the older builds and basically just had to skip the day by sleeping/waiting it away.
i'd like it if there was a better way to tell if you were infected. also for scratches to transfer less. from what i hear a tiny knick is all it takes. generally speaking a zombie bite is lethal, even if they didn't do much tearing. it's sort of the same principle as getting bitten by a snake, but for some reason it just makes you expire faster even though there's no venom and even in media where everyone is already infected, a bite will still do you in even if it's only a flesh wound. you've seen it time and time again in pretty much all form of zombie media. but the main reason why they're lethal is transference of the virus or whatever causes it. i'd think just getting scratched would bring about a much less likelihood to get killed from "zombie venom".
There should be a 50/50 chance to recover from the sickness - that would reflect a fairly realistic resistance rate to virulent diseases and it would add another element of drama to managing a group of survivors. It would also create a significant gameplay hurdle for the player without dooming them - as it stands, I end a game if I get bit because I'm totally fucked anyway, which obviously isn't fun.
jesus that's actually a really really good idea. basically you're sick when you're infected. you need lots of rest and food and other stuff if you want a chance to survive. i always hated having being infected being a complete game ender.
