Is there a way to make planks or do you just have to find them?
How do you apply bandages, I broke a window and cut myself, eventually bled to death. I tried clicking the bandages on the affected area in the character info menu and a ton of shit, but nothing ever worked. I haven't played forever so I don't know if it was just bugged or if the healing system changed.

That didn't work though there was no option to apply the bandages. Guess it was bugged then. oh well :( thanks
What virus? You mean the virus you're already infected with? AFAIK everyone's infected, everyone that dies turns, no matter how he dies.
All zombie games don't follow the walking dead zombie infection virus thing. AFAIK here's how it goes in Zomboid: - A zombie hurts you (scratch or bite) and you have a chance of getting infected - If you're infected, you'll die sooner or later from the infection - If you die by that infection you come back as a zombie - If you die not by the infection (eg you fall down some stairs and die) you don't come back It's pretty simple.

Wasn't it like that in L4D too?
Right, thought it was that kind of virus thing. Wasn't it like that in L4D too?
I'm guessing L4D rolls by a similar infection system, though the Survivors in it are immune so it's hard to say.
Fuck these glitches. I loaded up my save and my suddenly the alarms in every nearby building got set off and I was overrun by at least 50 zombies. Been going for two months aswell.
These Inventory glitches around wood are so annoying, another character crippled because taking some planks meant my inventory stopped working. I realyl can't wait until farming and building is perfected, my plants are messing up
Right, thought it was that kind of virus thing. Wasn't it like that in L4D too?
In L4D the infection would spread through the air as well.
Guys, when I start the new build I manage to get through the setup in sandbox (Apart from really slow selection) but when I get to the "This is how you died" bit the screen just goes black and stays that way. Does does anyone know how to fix it?
Thats the same problem I have :( [editline]8th May 2013[/editline] In L4D the main characters were carriers of the infection

I thought bite was like 85%
In L4D the infection would spread through the air as well.
Im sure that when I read the comic, in one of the last chapters, an army doctor said gas masks were of no use as it wasnt airborne. They should let you burn or some shit like that the wound in order to at least give you a minimal chance of stopping the infection.
Where am I most likely to find a saw? I've searched the warehouse filled with boxes to the north east but I've had no luck so far.
I'm pretty sure a bite is 100% infection, and a scratch is something like 25%
Not sure how it is currently, I've survived bites in older builds [editline]8th May 2013[/editline]
In L4D the infection would spread through the air as well.
Isn't there a poster in the first level of No Mercy in the safehouse that says "not airborne"?
How do i pull wheelie bins around with me?
fuck died after 13 days, had a dufflebag filled with food, an ax, a pistol, buncha zombies jumped me as I rounded a corner and I couldn't bandage in time
Does interior decoration work in this version? I've got a paint brush, plaster powder and some paint. But I can't seem to fill my bucket with water from sinks. Any assistance would be appreciated since this brown door frame in a white room is driving my OCD crazy.
Isn't there a poster in the first level of No Mercy in the safehouse that says "not airborne"?
Well, technically carriers (a.k.a. people immune to the disease) only have to be in close proximity to other people to infect them (if they don't have gas masks). Otherwise, I think that you can only be zombified through bites. In L4D I mean.

If so it'd make sense that at one point it was airborne, just like how it was waterborne. Also If I recall correctly Valve intentionally made the virus ambiguous to allow players to imagine their own situation for it.

How am I the only one in the chat room? [editline]9th May 2013[/editline] alarms alarms everywhere
I was doing so well, I was fumbling around for 3 days before i came onto the warehouse. i found a lot of loot and all was great for few days. Then i restarted the game and the alarm started ringing, bringing in a horde of many hundred zombies. I fled from the safehouse barely by unbarricading the door and running away while getting scratched in the shoulder. for over two weeks i wandered around basically using guerilla tactics and stealth to survive around the forests and lower density housing areas. A lot of fun stuff happened in the time, i broke into a hospital, killed around fifty zombies and ran around changing safehouses every day because there was not much loot and the water services were closed. In the end i somehow managed to circle back to the warehouse. I decided that it was PAYBACK TIME! I killed 300+ zombies with a fire-axe and got scratched once. sadly the scratch was infected so i went to the roof and shot 5 rounds in the air and waited for the zombie dead squads to arrive and send me to the gates of hell. i shot/axemuidered 20 or so more zombies before succumbing to the oncoming horde. Sadly the game glitched so i didn't get to see the end text. Oh and the funniest thing was that back when i was scratched i had to make bandages from clothes. i tried to rip a skirt i found but instead i ripped my pants and shirt. So for around 10 days i wandered in the forests and low density housing areas only wearing a skirt and shoes, whacking zeds with a fireaxe. I will post more pics from my journey later.
Hey there, I'm really wanting to get Project Zomboid but recently my graphics cad died and my temporary replacement one is utter shite. I was wondering, how much strain does PZ put on your GPU? My current GPU is a Radeon X700 series which is just awful. My other specs are fine but will I be able to play this with my shitty graphics card?

The demo is so old that it wouldn't be an accurate representation at all.
I'm trying it now, its embarrassing.... [editline]9th May 2013[/editline] As in for me.
The demo gives a flavour of the atmosphere and game, it's still good.
The demo is so old that it wouldn't be an accurate representation at all.
Well if it somewhat works, i bet it will somewhat work in the new one too.
