Anyone ever notice that if you light a candle, it changes into an item without a sprite called "Blooo" the fuck [t]http://puu.sh/2UFtu.png[/t]
I bought this, should I start with the newest unstable version right away ?
I bought this, should I start with the newest unstable version right away ?
It is literally about 3x bigger in terms how how much is in the game than the stable version (seriously, this single update has lasted like a year to develop), but it is less balanced, and buggy. It really depends on your preferences - I personally am waiting for a new stable release.

I have a saw but I can't figure out how to cut down trees with it...
You have to use the fire axe (Unless they've changed something). Saw is used as a refining tool to make planks.
You have to use the fire axe (Unless they've changed something). Saw is used as a refining tool to make planks.
Thought so. The wiki said this though so I figured I'l ask
Having a saw is a must if one is willing to create a complex base, as a saw can chop down trees, and if there are a lot of trees in your area, you can consider making complex bases because of your abundant wood supply.
the official forum is filled with mouthbreathing meme-spouting idiots, don't trust anything they say or any resource they attribute to.
New Mondoid is out, featuring a video with gamepad controls and MULTIPLAYER (local it seems)
Multiplayer confirmed to be released in v.8 Splitscreen. What in the living fuck

Holy shit this is amazingly suprisingly amazing news I mean holy shit I can lie on my bed and coop with my friend
This news is awesome! after the new release everything kind of went quiet, now we're getting this!
Hmmh. Im okay with local multiplayer as long as there will be online multiplayer too, someday.
Just use a screen sharing program, like teamviewer.
Man holy fuck that came from nowhere. Bed time playing will be awesome while I snuggle up with my BFF. Not enough games have local co-op and I'm happy zomboid does. Also it seems like NPC's wont be in until late June or July, I thought it was going to be sooner. Boo hoo.
Still wish we could get multi-computer multiplayer. Then I could play with my friends.
Still wish we could get multi-computer multiplayer. Then I could play with my friends.
We can and will get, just not any time in the near future.
I'm so happy that they added local co op though like seriously there's not enough games with this feature lately and this will make the game as it is a lot more fun until NPC's come along
it's actually disappointing. i am simply waiting for a build i can play. now it's being pushed out for trivial things like split screen? kind of a bit dumb i think. really why are these new features being announced when there's way to much shit that needs to be fixed already? if your main goal is focusing on polish shouldn't you backburner everything except the shit that makes the game unpolished/buggy? [editline]20th May 2013[/editline] does the person who disagreed with me realize this is a small indie team with iirc a team whos numbers are in the single digits? not to mention the fact that it's an indie team? [editline]20th May 2013[/editline] there's two terms that apply here. feature creep and some other one i forget. but it basically had to do with the fact that the dev team is stretching itself to far thin with more ambition than it can handle, leading to release dates to be pushed back even further.

The main body of work was getting rid of all the single player specific code, and that all happened as streaming was being implemented. This is the first stepping stone to online, but we’re still a way off. We’ve literally spent about 4-5 hours on this in the past 2 weeks, and that time was spent largely sorting out button prompts, scaling the UI, and allowing multiple online inventories to be possible. We’ve been sitting on this for a long time and there have been frequent inter-team pleadings to show it off over the past month or two. If it annoys you that we’ve spent any time on this during the past few weeks, even 4-5 hours, please consider that we are massive geeks and stuff like this is what we do for fun to relax after a hard day of work. Also, after 008 the evidence this existed would have been abundantly obvious from the Lua files, and last thing we’d want is for people to discover it was in progress before we could announce it and make a big deal about it. Especially since people would likely assume the Lua clues pointed to online play, and then be disappointed when we did reveal. Also consider that multiplayer, in some form, is far and away the #1 requested feature, so if you aren’t interested yourself, it is important for a lot of your fellow Zomboiders.
If I have to quote myself after pasting these things in people's faces as much as humanly possible one more time I may run away and join a Tibetan commune. :P I'm tired of reading the words 'feature creep' too... http://web.archive.org/web/20110326144619/http://www.theindiestone.com/lemmy/index.php/2011/03/15/a-slightly-less-pathetic-game-announcement-with-screenshots/ Please note the presence of multiplayer on that list. :P that's one sloooooow delayed reaction creep since this was the first ever mention of our game.
yeah that doesn't change my stance at all. it's what i think of your process. in fact your answer makes it seem even more ridiculous if i read it correctly.
yeah that doesn't change my stance at all. it's what i think of your process.
What process? what have we added? What feature has creeped except (erroneously assumed) that?
the hell should i know. but it's been taking a long time for the game to simply... you know work [editline]20th May 2013[/editline] i'm not on the team so i have no idea. but it seems like you guys get sidetracked like "OOO LOOK AT THE SHINY NEW COOP" would be nice if i knew i could actually... you know... play the game.
dunno why I keep coming back.
you don't keep coming back because you never really leave.
Here we are having the nicety of a dev posting in our forum and obviously somebody has to act like a dick.
Here we are having the nicety of a dev posting in our forum and obviously somebody has to act like a dick.
because questioning someone's shit is being a dick.
Not this shit again...
yeah the same shit where someone voices their thoughts then lemmy overcompensates by posting a bunch of this and that trying to explain then at the end going "poor me i should just stop posting here" for the exact reaction he's getting out of all of you right now. it's kind of pathetic when he could simply not even reply. [editline]20th May 2013[/editline] but no circle jerk hivemind central i guess. because when your game is bugged out the ass, has features missing that were taken out and you start advertising coop, what kind of message do you think that sends? regardless of whether you were working on it or not or it was always being worked on or whatever excuse you have.
