2.9.9.10 is now out on Desura
no they haven't changed the map, since last time
Last stand mode is a pretty cool addition.
Just bought the game, but when I select "rip bandages" from the menu of a piece of clothing, nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong?

there's a bug where if you aren't careful enough (or regardless) it rips up a random piece of clothing in your inventory instead of the one you selected.
I'm sort of doing a lets play on this, I don't know if you guys would be interested in it..
i want mod for one bite one kill it is most realistic and would give me biggest boner

wait actually i just want to fuck a horse[/QUOTE]
I want the gasmasks to not only look cool, but serve a purpose. I'm thinking that purpose is to be able to filter spores that have propagated throughout the world. spores that would instantly zombify you forcing you to be extremely cautious, shit i'm getting hard just typing about it please make it happen and put my name in credits

I just started playing the demo of this, saw a Youtuber play it and I thought it looked fun - And I'm having a blast with it, definitely going to buy the full version.
One problem though, the cunt neighbor with the shotgun: How can I deal with him peacefully? I've seen how to kill him, just curious if theres a way to deal with him without doing that
Really, you guys shouldn't post links to the forum builds. I understand the hype but it just makes people stumble upon builds which frankly aren't ready for a large audience. It floods their servers and already made them pay a huge bandwidth fine before.
Just leave the forum builds to those who occasionally check on the forums, as those are the kinds of people that wouldn't mind the dip in quality in comparison to the more polished desura ones.
So as off the demo for PZ being on such an old build I decided to buy PZ in order to give it a go.
As much as I want to like it; the fighting with the interface comes more in the way of your survival than the zombies.
And now I'm even more certain that PZ would have worked better rendered in 3D.

In my experience the less graphics a game is the more fun gameplay content you can put it in a la dwarf fortress and space station 13 so I'm fine with it

I had in mind just some low poly low resolution models.
I just feel like the game could be a lot more user friendly and versatile with 3D.
Like if instead of an isometric view the game could have a view similar to Shadowgrounds, where it's locked behind the character from above.
Implementing new weapons and animations would be a hell of a lot more simple.

Damn this game is hard or I'm awful.

The less in terms of graphics, the easier the gameplay content is to add, which in turn makes more fun gameplay content available. There is a major balancing point between this and accessibility, as the better the graphics, the easier it can be to interact with the game.
Dwarf Fortress is a good example when it comes to a large quantity of content, but the side effect is that it is incredibly difficult for new players to get into it.
Having Zomboid in 3D would have made many other things much easier, particularly when you take things vertically, or determining scale or position. Options like shadows would also become possible. There are still some technical problems the devs have to sort out with the isometric approach they've taken. Things will be much easier for them down the line when they have repaired and finely tuned the important fundamental aspects of how the game works. That is where we will be seeing new things more frequently.
I bought Zomboid way back when it was purchasable, unfortunately I have lost any email and code in order to play the game. Can I retrieve my account in some way?

If you dont have anything that can be used as a proof of purchase (credit card number/paypal account maybe?), then you cant retrieve your account.
I just retrieved a key for Desura even though I never had one, found an email in my gmail account. Guess I have to use Desura then.

I retrieved a key using my google checkout account. It worked, I'm really psyched so see what they changed compared to the earlier versions.
why can't you play as a zombie?
If you own the game, Steam keys are now available.

All the project zomboid models are 3d, it's just that they are pre-converted into 2d sprites.

I wonder if there will come a point where those 2D spreadsheets will be more expensive to have than to just render the 3D on the fly. Surely with enough variations to animation, the amount of sheets (especially clothing), will increase ten fold, right?
Played the game for a bit and I'm having a hard time getting used to it, somehow I feel like when I first bought it during the earlier versions, it was a lot more enjoyable than it is now. It also looks pretty ugly to be honest. The controls feel really unresponsive, the interface feels really bad and annoying.

Give it some time. The controls and interface have been improving since the release of 2.9 and it seems to get better each release.
It is a bit of a different game than it was way back in 2.0, but I feel like the latest version is better because of rebalanced combat and additional stuff to do.
Just my $.02 though.
Well, I always died pretty fast so I haven't been able to experience the combat to it's full extend. So far the interface is really annoying and flimsy. It might just be me though. I'm still really eager to play the game though, it seems really good.
Probably just you because current build basically makes all others seem like unplayable slog fests
