I began my story in a medium-sized blue house, wearing no shirt. My chest was very manly.
For the bigger part, I didn't seem to experience much difficulty gathering the resources necessary for survival - in fact in my very own home I found a gun and ammunition.
On day 2 I was surrounded by zombies while scavenging the nearby medical store. The moment I had opened the window and entered the premises, the alarm sounded. I quickly scavaneged everything I could as I saw the undead gathering outside. My gun saved me that day. I got away with only two scratches, on my torso and left foot.
However, I had to spend the next couple of days at home, recovering from the damages.
After 7 days I noticed my fridge had finally given up. I decided I can't stay in my safe haven anymore and packed everything food-ways that didn't have an expiration date, all my medications and my most important tool so far: A pistol, now with 60 bullets.
And so I began my long journey to the farm.
It took me 2 days to get there. Much running was made. A lot of dodging Zeds, and hiding in construction yards for the night.
And so here I am. My name is Shawn Wood - and this is the story of how I almost died once, but managed to escape fairly well and found my way to probably the worst place on earth because there are literally no resources here and I'm pretty much fucked THANKS A LOT

FUCK I JUST ATE UNCOOKED BACON
GODDAMNIT
I got salmonella once from eating undercooked bacon.
I shit like I had ebola, but it didn't kill me.
This game needs to get its disease symptoms from facts.
Actually I think it'd be cool if you chose.. a "doctor" profession, you could treat your wounds better, know what symptoms are related to what, be more accepted by survivors, idk.
they gotta buff zombies. they're really no threat. I've literally cleared out 800 zombies in just 17 days

When you have 2 or more zombies grabbing you simultaneously you're pretty much done for.
When you have 2 or more zombies grabbing you simultaneously you're pretty much done for.
I've managed to get out situations like those a dozen of times. even though every limb is scratched and bandaged I'm still surviving
if i press volume down or up on my headset, some multiplayer menu pops up that i can't close, even when the game window isn't selected.
i have to restart to fix it. this blows.
I want to be able to mix and then chug bleach and ammonia in order to commit suicide like a true professional.
Swallow a molotov. The whole thing.

Unless the doctor was from England. At which point you'd be better off without the ability cause they are generally always wrong here. :v:

Actually, you should be able to commit suicide with more things. If I'm bitten, I should be able to shoot myself, or at least strap a bomb to my chest then charge a horde with a butter knife to die a honorable death.

This thread is beginning to lack content, so I was thinking about a themed run where fellow FPers could suggest basic ideas for characters, and I'd pick one followed by attempts to rationalize how the fuck that would work followed by my best attempt to make that personality influence my choices (way of dying).
What do you think? Is it good enough of an idea?
I really want to get this game for my cerebral palsey brother but I had to buy his prescriptions if anyone is in the mood for giving can I have a key for the early access on steam?
I would appreciate it so much...And so would my brother he really want's this game....My username is kimaru on steam or kimaru22@gmail.com...Thank you..
You don't have to rate me dumb just say no..That would suffice. I'm just asking. Not implying or saying you Have to. Hell he said he would take a picture with his written name and game he wants on it or a video. But forget about it..Sheesh.
He's 25 years old just cannot walk.. Spastic Quad.

So i just got this game, and i've been enjoying it a lot. I just never seem to able to get any wood to build stuff.
Any tips in general?

Until you get an axe/saw to cut trees and make wood, break down doors. Doors in any building you are not going to use and take the planks. You can break doors with any blunt weapon.
Ever since I found out that breaking down doors gives you planks I found the game a bit too easy, so I upped the zombie hearing to "Pinpoint" and spread them out in uniform on "High".
I survived for about 7 hours and died in the most stereotypical zombie-movie way possible. Cornered in a small room, door about to break in with tons of zombies on the other side. Boom it goes, and in flows like 50+ zombies and bite my arse off while I try to push them away with a golf club.
gg
Anyone else ever had the glitch where all the zombie noises start at once randomly? Nearly broke my chair.
Just bought the game, gonna piss my gf off later and nerd at it hard.

-The weak trait will now reduce your max capacity.
-Fixed the weird lighting in the church.
-Fixed the brown wooden stairs textures in carpentry menu.
-Fixed some bugged walls (where you could loot through them).
-Craft food from rotten ingredients will give you a rotten food as result.
-Now save the unhappy and boredom level.
-The Anti-depressants now reduce the unhappyness (effect is not immediate, it take some times).
-Fixed lighting issues / holes in world draw errors.
-If you click outside the delete save modal dialog in the world selector, it'll disapear.
-Fixed the fire saving/load bug.
-Fixed a bucket/garden spray can duplication bug.
[PERFORMANCE]
-Fixed memory leak causing OOSs on some systems.
-Performance changes / improvements (no promises, including the demo, with the numbers we're talking chances are it'll take a few to get most of them sorted).
-Tweaked the camping code to make it much more efficient.
[NEW STUFF]
-Added inventory icon for berries bush.
-Added various tooltip (pills, ...), to help the new players.
-New items ! (include lovely spiffo burger by our cutie pie Mash !).
-New recipes : Box of things, explaination : You can now find box of nails (you also have screws, bullets...), right click on it and select "open" will give you 100 nails AND if you have 100 nails, you can also right click on it and "put in a box" to move them around easily.
[BALANCE]
-When you make an item, we set the condition of the result item with an average of the used items condition, and not just the lowest condition.
-Tweaked the number of berries in a bush.
-You'll now have much more chance to find stuff (including axes and hammer) in the West Point toolstore (in front of the sea horse coffee).

-Tweaked a bit the fire spreading (it spread more... "The roof is on fire, we don't need no water let the..." Erm.)
[MODDERS]
-Now load "Item_...png" instead of "item_...png" in the mod loader.

[BUG FIX]
-No longer possible to equip a two handed weapon if it's broke.
-Some world convert fixes (still have some crash on certain save :( Will do more).

-When you harvest a plant, click on another (even dead) to have the last clicked plants vegetables (I fixed this for all the other actions)
-Some plants disapear.
-Fertilizer.
-Other minor fixes.
-Fixed sand bag walls : They were not hoppable and not acting as a wall. (now they block you, not your vision, and you can climb them).
-Fixed alarms saving.
-Fixed the mod loader bug (I thought we already made a hotfix for that, apologize !).
-Fixed the temperature of items after the electricity shut-off.
-When crafting an of item of food - its age will be dependent on the average age of the foodstuffs that went into the recipe. What's more, if any of the food you used was rotten - then don't expect the results to be particularly edible either! This is a fix for crafted food that 'cured' the rot of what went into it - ramen etc :)
-The loot found on zombie bodies is no longer dependent on the room/area in which they were 'killed'.

-Food will also become rotten inside if put inside zombie body.
-Fixed a bug in the calcul of the rotten food when it was in a container you never open before.
-Some reloading fixing by our lovely Stormy !
-Fixed a bug where the name of the plant wasn't in the info box in case of dead plant.
[NEW STUFF]
-You can now find sand bag, gravel bag and empty gravel bag, you can click click on them to spill -sand/gravel on the ground, adding a sand/gravel tile where you want. These bags can be used 4 times before giving you an empty bag, which, with a shovel can be filled with sand, gravel or soil by clicking on the right tile on the ground.
-Some new items : threads, garbage bags, gravel bag, watch, wooden glue... Not all of this item have a purpose right now, but they will really soon, that's why they are already in game. (think about people who already explored a lot of things, when this new items will have an utility, they'll have hard time to find them..).
-Added gravel bags walls in the carpentry menu (under "Fence sub menu).
-Fertilizer for farming (this was not really "new", but bugged and the fertilizer weren't spawned) : Use it up to 4 times on your plant (no more ! or it'll die...) to reduce by 20hours the next growing phase.

-Fixing System ! Yay ! http://theindiestone...e-fixing-system
[BALANCED STUFF]
-Up a bit the loot rate of sand bags.

(I really don't think this news should even have been posted on this thread.)
Seriously though. This build isn't meant for everyone. If you don't want bugs, don't opt in.
Back up your saves if you want to try that out. And don't act surprised if you find a game breaking bug that destroys your world or progress.
*Saves are here: "C:/Users/<Username>/Zomboid"
*Post console logs if you crash.
*Don't post any media (screenshots / videos / streaming) of this password build unless you get explicit permission from the devs.
If you mean the info on the locked beta, then they should really make the forum private. The information is perfectly open there.
Yes but their forum receives much less traffic than this one does, so it is still fairly under the radar. Not to mention they have much a much easier time reading feedback over there, than it would be over here. I'm not saying they haven't posted here, because I know they have. I'm just saying its easier for them to see feedback on their forums over this one.
It also seems a bit more meant for those on the forum anyways, as the ones who frequent there would be much more accepting of the issues that locked build would contain.
Sorry, you need to Log In to post a reply to this thread.
