Fair point, I suppose. But on the other hand, not a lot of people seem to read this thread anyway. At least not anymore?
When are they adding AI humans?
(I really don't think this news should even have been posted on this thread.)
Seriously though. This build isn't meant for everyone. If you don't want bugs, don't opt in.
Back up your saves if you want to try that out. And don't act surprised if you find a game breaking bug that destroys your world or progress.
*Saves are here: "C:/Users/<Username>/Zomboid"
*Post console logs if you crash.
*Don't post any media (screenshots / videos / streaming) of this password build unless you get explicit permission from the devs.
but dat change list hng
im diggin the sandbags. im gonna make a castle
When are they adding AI humans?
After the implementation of the 3D engine, that's next on their list. They're specifically planning to add things like rescue zones. I can imagine if you go there it won't last very long, though. They'll get overrun or something.
"climb sheetrope"
*climbing
*CONTINUES PAST THE WINDOW
"sthap it! wut R U doin?"
*continues climbing
He has climbed into darkness, I don't know if I should exit and come back or let him climb.
Loaded game, black screen. Took a step and was dead.

Every teacher's desk I searched had shotgun shells, cigarettes, and alcohol in them.
What the fuck kind of school was this.
Figured out how to fix the cannot fill sandbags with dirt problem, go to your project zomboid folder and search "ISShovelGround.lua", open in notepad and replace "BucketPlasterFull" with "EmptySandbag". Save the file and enjoy your new rooftop garden!
However it seems to glitch if you have more than one sandbag, have to restart the game each time you want to fill a bag....
Infact, it seems to break all containers, restarting fixes it.
so, we can grow our crops anywhere.
How do people get on to roofs? I've never figured it out.

I spent a year in kentucky when I was a boy.
That's pretty spot on. Alabama is only a bit better. Except change cigarrettes with Skoal.

Flat roofs, like the office buildings or warehouses. use stairs.
So there's an "update required" clamp on my steam-version.
Whats the word?
Minor fixes to launcher. Now resizes properly etc.
Launcher disabled for mac until we can figure it out. Still waiting to hear if same needs doing for linux.

Lightning and Thunder are pretty big things IMO.

I'm watching this guy. He has cool videos and I like his strongholds.
And I'm buying this game now, I've waited for a while.
Does anyone know how the, recently released, world and building editing tools work?

It would probably make good sense if i posted this too: http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/4674-map-tools/

That came out of nowhere.
Awesome!

This'll probably extend the lifetime of the game significantly.
the lack of multiplayer has had a not insignificant effect on the ‘must-haveness’ of Zomboid to a large chunk of gamers out there, that would otherwise have dove in long ago.
ah that would be me
I can't really think of other zombie games that come close to the kind of customizable and 'realistic' sandbox Zomboid offers, and having multiplayer only multiplies the fun of the experience[sp]and basically prints money for the devs[/sp]
I find it funny that they said multiplayer would be the hardest thing to implement, but here it is, and now NPCs are the new hardest thing :v:
Gotta cash in on that Rust and DayZ type gameplay
Gotta cash in on that Rust and DayZ type gameplay
Except it's nothing like DayZ or Rust
also, PZ was before both of them
I know, it was kind of an impulse post but I couldn't help it with this current genre fad that's been everywhere recently

so in other words you're a horrible poster.
It's been a while since I've played. Whats the progress on the metagame? do we have NPCs yet?
no NPCs yet, seems we're getting MP then NPCs, but it's fairly close now

They're next on the list after Multiplayer's been implemented. Their dev blog says they've already started working on them, though.

Damn you and your ninja abilities
I may buy this now. Not saying MP defines a game, but I certainly prefer it.
Definitely buying this after the multiplayer is released. The core game is pretty awesome, but I've mostly grown out of single-player games. To me it'd be much more fun if you have friends to build strongholds and scavenge for resources with.
This update is starting to look really cool.

Wait, wait, wait, what? When the fuck did they switch to 3D models for the characters?

I've been out of the loop for too long.
