It's been 6 years already? Holy shit..
I remember when the original thread first popped up and you could only get the game by buying one of those crappy flash games as a legal loophole since google money was fucking them about, back when Lemmy posted here too and everyone was excited and constantly posted about the game. Now this thread is dead, Lemmy no longer posts with us and everything is going so slow because of their tiny size and over ambitious ideas with NPCs. I'm sad, I loved following this game.
It doesn't help that a lot of people, myself included, have burnt out on the zombie survival shit that was hot as fire 6 years ago. It would take a truly amazing game for me to really give a damn about the genre anymore.
Way more arcadey but "7 Days to Die" is scratching that itch pretty well these days.

At the moment, cars are pretty fucking dangerous, and not for the reasons you might think: [VID]https://my.mixtape.moe/vktiws.mp4[/VID]
Is there a way to spawn a zombie horde away from your character to initiate some sort of horde attacking your base or something? There's a command to spawn a horde, but it spawns directly on top of you for some reason.

Have they officially added NPC survivors yet
This game actually came into my mind today for some random reason, I still remember buying it and it doesn't look any different these days.
Have they officially added NPC survivors yet
no i posted a while back about how a decent-ish NPC survivors mod is on the workshop. nothing stellar but randomly spawning survivors that you can recruit, as well as hostile survivors and even some neat pre-placed survivor groups. it added some replay to the game for me for awhile but as you can imagine it's a mod, and it's quite janky. especially managing your own survivor group. on top of that this game just does not handle firefights well yet.
This game actually came into my mind today for some random reason, I still remember buying it and it doesn't look any different these days.
Well, i still remember buying it too (can't see why i wouldn't, why else would i have it?) way back in the Desura days. IMO, looks nothing like it used to. They recently did a multiplayer stress test of some 141 players, 87 at peak and that turned out to be a success, cars are only a few weeks away and they are STILL expanding the map, with the recent addition of Riverside. As a Southern Indiana native this game makes me proud.
As a Southern Indiana native this game makes me proud.
They could do a lot with the Knox area.
Have they officially added NPC survivors yet
There is a mod for them. But not officially yet.

hell this would be an interesting system to have in a non-zombie survival game
hell this would be an interesting system to have in a non-zombie survival game
There already is a game with a system like this that isn't a zombie survival game, but it's a bit more hardcore. It's called My Summer Car :v:
This game is a gem. I haven't played it in a long while but it's by far the best zombie game I've played. If they really smooth out the multiplayer and/or add the NPCs with the depth promised then this will probably be my favorite RPG period. I love that it's isometric. Makes it easier for me to see things plus I can mute the game and listen to audiobooks without feeling that I am at a disadvantage.
I haven't played it in a long, long time, but when I did, it was a refreshing change from all the other zombie shit out there. A game where long term survival and scavenging is the name of the game, and AVOIDING zombies is what you want to do. None of this Ramiraz, you need tomato seeds, go to this waypoint where there's a pack guarded by a hoard
