This was hilarious, and made even more hilarious because some of the sounds are actually really good, but when they are mixed with all the horrible recordings and voice acting I can't take it seriously and it just gets more awesome.
Does this mean I can post this again? It's a WIP still though.

jhahaha that "OH JESUS" makes me rofl so hard
I really want to enjoy the multiplayer, I really do, but most of the servers are in the eastern part of the world, so as an American, every server has 140~ ping, and the games netcode really shows at that ping.
Things like bayonets extending past their rages, and weird things like seeing my bayonet pass through the enemy without them taking damage.
Anything at 80 or below is fine but no one populates those servers :/
The bayonets in Napoleonic wars are universally bullshit. Staggeringly overpowered (45 p damage), and then on top of that M&B doesn't model the damage for "pinprick" stabs. IE: it doesn't matter how deep you actually stab somebody, the bayonet kills in basically one hit even if it's just a flesh wound. It's actually preferable that you only get a glancing blow
There's basically no way to be an effective fighter without using spinning attacks. You can chamber block and such, but it's a high risk maneuver when you're over 50 ping, but it's still spin-2-win.
Still waiting heel and toe on L'Aigle (warband mod, doesn't need NW dlc). Looks a hell of a lot better than NW, it has singleplayer, the content quality is of professional level, and apparently bayonets do less damage.

wait are you sure, in my game when you hit the enemy just a little you can hear this butt-pounding noise and get stunned for long enough to get wrecked, while dealing no damage at all
but jesus groupfights are so awful, the best players shake like mad fucks and the game turns into a bloody circus of retards.
That happens when you hit them at a 90 degree angle with no speed bonus, but if you have any spin going in your movement and you prick them with the tip you'll do about 70 damage.

Sorry for plastering so many videos on the start of the page. But watch the beginning of this video. Still makes me laugh my ass off. M&M/NW melee in a nutshell basically

I don't see any video :(
I loved MM melee. We were like pretty ballerinas during Linebattles.
They must have changed it, last time I played it, it was still a rarity that I killed people in one hit.
Pretty stupid honestly, but I was more bitter about how all my experience with mouse blocking was basically worth sod all against an experienced keyboard blocker with a system that never fails and is far more responsive.

An FP regiment would be pretty interesting.
An FP regiment would be pretty interesting.
That proposition must have been raised about 10 times in this thread in the past, I don't think it ever made it past a handful or two of people prepared to be regular. Fact is, unless there is a social pact that everybody shows up, the regiment falls apart like a wooden house standing up with only sticky tape for supports.
Problem is regiment leaders know this and the ridiculously serious attitude leaders develop leads to them being assholes with giant superiority complexes. Our regiment section leaders always talked about other regiments with distaste and about the 84e and 77y like they were leeching butt buddies just looking for each other's members when the other collapsed. Maybe it was true, but it was a pretty pathetic assertion.
I was in a regiment that was relatively fun orientated and I still noticed the behaviour, training was still boring as shit most of the time as a result.

An FP regiment would be chill. Semi-serious is the best way to go. Not too serious like those regiments lead by people actually are in the military and not retarded like 11 year run regiments.
We could probably do well with never practicing.
ye the last reg worked really well
An FP regiment would be pretty interesting.
I'm fine. I already have the 8th King's Regiment of Foot. Two years and counting <3
As well, what Dr.Critic points out is true. You don't have a regiment if people only show up for events.
Also, is that the 77y run by Chester at one point you're referring to Dr.Critic?

Yeah, you essentially have to be glued to the other members and teamspeak 24/7,
Is there any way in Floris or any other mod to take over a faction, rather than starting your own? It would be cool to overthrow the king.
If not I suppose I could always start my own and change the colour/name to be the same.
Also, the game is HARD now. I played vanilla just for the "experience" and enjoyed being OP but now playing with floris and on much higher difficulty I am getting destroyed. Any tips?

Try CRPG.

Try joining a lords army for a while and stick with him until you're a high troop tier, then desert and keep your gear. Also hire mercenaries from taverns if you got the money. They're serving me well so far.
Also you can keep your equipment without having to desert. Just ask your commander to go on leave, then go and hire a companion. Give all your equipment to him and then go back to the lord and retire. The lord is supposed to take back all the high level gear but he won't if it's not on you. This way you don't get the reputation damage from deserting.
Is there a mod that lets you have more influence on the word on a political and economical scale?
I mean, I don't want to be king, i want to be that fat filthy rich magnate that influences the kingdom through his wealth and connections and has half the kings vassals in his pocket, something like this.
Damn that would be lovely. Something I hope will be in banner lord.
Generally, what makes Mount & Blade so great, is just that it throws you into a world that is playing itself. With a living economy, wars, lords and so forth. Yet, this is done on a relatively small scale, but it 's a success because no one else has done it in this type of game yet. It's something fresh.
I'd love this to be taken up to eleven with Bannerlord, being able to play anyone you want, anything an NPC can be, you can be too. A farmer, a knight, a guard, a Lord, a King, a merchant. Dream game.
There's just so much you could expand on in this general idea. Like really, so god damn much, take a few inspirations from trading games like Patrician or the Guild, and a few from Grand Strategy games, while having it fit into the in-complicated but mechanical fashion of the game.

I've both pricked and been pricked with it, it does substantially less damage.

Legit video of Armagan showing off M&B 2 inventory and faction information UI. Taleworlds can't be arsed to give us a preview while going around showing off their game to turkish universities.
Note new inventory system and more slots. Morrowind style armor pieces or armor "addons"?
I've been playing the Gekokujo mod and the so much fun. I really hope they add things like Chinese and European mercenaries to add some variety as only fighting samurai can get uninteresting.
Which SP mod/s would you guys consider the most fun, not necessarily well made? I'm looking for shit to play.
I played the crap outa 1257 mod. mmmm, medieval europe

1257 AD is really good
There's also the Clash of Kings mod, based on HBO's Game of Thrones. It's good too.
