Although if you really want to feel like you've earned decent items, taking down groups of Sea Raiders in the early game to get their armor and Nordic helmets is an option.

so the terrain generator went full retard on me

i spawned and saw a huge hill and said "ah fuck not again"

but then it turns out the hill took up the entire width of the battlefield. all i could was tell my infantry and cavalry to hold and tell my archers to fire at the lone Sea Raider that would be crossing the hill after us.

like literally it went from invisible wall on one side to the wall on the other.

and this was on a grassy plain in the overview map near Wercheg.

i went and dressed up in full nazi soldiers armour, helmet, gasmask, the works

then i got a sniper rifle and attacked a fort by myself for shits and giggles

i killed half of them (64) before they finally pumped me with enough lead to fell me

As for your question there was a mod that was called "mercenaries" or something a while back that was similar to cRPG, more playable and fairer as I recall, not sure if that is still active

A very good option for making money in Floris to enlist in an army, you get paid regularly and as you get promoted, your pay will be bigger. You literally don't have to do anything, except kill a lot of people during battles so you get promoted quicker.

However the best way for income is to own castles and towns. This requires that you're fairly friendly with the most prominent lords of your faction so that when you siege something, you're more likely to gain ownership.

If your controversy level is high, you're much less likely to get anything, so you shouldn't start any feuds with other lords.

One more thing is, you should recruit a few companions so they can carry all the spare loot from the battles and you can conveniently sell it all automatically when you reach a town, which gives you some nice extra income.

Raiding villages

1. Reduces standing with lord that owns the village

2. Town that is nearest to village

3. And for the kingdom that owns it (but you didn't need me to tell you that)

Holy fucking fuck, finally. It literally took me years to grind this lol.

When I imported my character to Floris 255, it was probably little over 360, so according to statistics I had to kill around 4400 enemies just to raise it by 40 points. That's insane.

Just to clarify, my Agility is only 13 and weapon mastery is 4, so that's mainly why it took so long.

In my current game of Floris they have been completely annihilated and eaten by the Nords, who are worrying bloated.

That being said, the war between them created a FUCKTON of bandits, which until I managed to isolate and kill about 180 of them were running shit all over their territory.

I'm pissed because the king of Rhodok is apparently a giant pussy, and after stealing Sarid from the Sarranids doesn't want to finish the job, leaving me to go get cash and prestige halfway across the world without him.

At least it gives me time to upgrade my village before the Sarranids raze it in the next war.
