Yeah and I'm p. sure that mod is incorporated in many larger mods. The taleworlds forum is a better place to look for mods than moddb.
Man, I wish mount and blades combat system promoted swinging and attacking rather than preforming impossible fakeouts by spamming RMB and LMB.
Like a stamina system that would be in place so that you'd tire out whenever you fake out too fast.
And when your stamina is low, it'd take longer to block and ready an attack, so to punish those motherfuckers who take advantage of metagame shit like lag and hitboxes. Those people always frustrate me, as they usually have the lowest ping and I can't find a good server that has low ping for me.
Even though I've played so much that I can out-reflex such people, I completely agree. Would add so much more skill to the game.
So wait, is 1.161 actually not out yet. I was looking at the 1257 subforum on Taleworlds recently and DrTomas has been working on a final version since July. But he said a few days ago it won't be released until 1.161 is out, so was it not released back in September or was that just for Steam?
Is Prophecy of Pendor worth playing? I've heard the stat bloat is pretty bad and the textures are pretty poor but a lot of people seem to like it.
I love PoP. I'd give it a try if I were you, judge it yourself. It has some minor fantasy elements which are pretty awesome.

There's a compiled version of PoP with graphical enhancements and some minor tweaks over at /mbg/ but a dev keeps making uproars when its posted. It's pretty much the definitive version since work has stopped on the mod.
I have no idea what happened but I think some dude decided to pick up Native Expansion.

And the shit he's done is fucking amazing. Last update was yesterday, apparently.
He seems to really know what he's doing, and to be enjoying it, too!

Hmm, I hadn't heard of that, is there a version up there right now?
There's a Vikingr event coming up soon, I suggest anyone that hasn't tried one out gives it a go. The shield walls and cavalry formations are pretty awesome.

If you get good ping to be able to melee. :(
The anger from the netcode and hitbox issues fuel me to make a video review summing up my thoughts about this amazing game that has huge issues.

or even better join a regiment and go to big linebattles :v:

Basically what Napoleonic wars is for. Don't buy or play it if you don't do this.
Trust me, pubbies are baaaad, m'kay.

I bought it for getting together with like 4 friends but nobody plays it and I'm studying a lot so I don't really have time for any kind of commitment.
Then again I paid like 1 buck for it

not sure if srs but I have plenty of fun on pub servers. especially when NW goes on sale and there's a big boom in players.
the favored tactic of my friends and I is for two of us to go engineer and find a way to the highest point of the map and build up tons of sandbags, planks, dirt mounds, explosive barrels, etc. our third is an officer or a ranger of some kind. we wait atop our mountain fortress for the hordes of prussians, russians, austro-hungarians or other such enemy to rush the mountain fortress once our team is dead.
after one or two rounds of this we'll eventually have our entire team sitting in the fortress while the hordes bum rush us. it's the little things that make this game so enjoyable.

Unless those pubs participate in the Pub Regiment event on Fridays.

My problem with pubbies is lag, and population. I can only get 140 ping on a server with a "fun" game-mode like TDM or Siege that's filled with players.
Man am I glad to see M&B 2 is shaping up massively and they have real editing tools this time. I put my elder scrolls mod on hold while I do freelance 3d work, didn't want to waste a bunch of effort just to have M&B:2 come out mid-development.
I think I could actually justify sinking some serious development time into an M&B:2 mod now.
First thing I'm gonna make headway on once Bannerlord comes out is an ancient world mod.
I'm talking pre-Makedonian conquests of Persia ancient.

oh yeah I understand that aspect of it lol. my ping is abysmal. I dunno, I don't take NW seriously unless I'm playing it alone.
I want be able to cut off limbs in Bannerlord.
Not likely really, gore doesn't seem like it exists in M&B's violence spectrum
Would at least be nice to get better blood and injury decals instead of the red ketchup from warband. Have actual slashes and punctures with parralax maps and such, and blood spatter decals for contact blood.

dude, it's medieval times. gore practically was founded there.

Personally I would feel much more badass cracking someones skull with an axe or cutting someones arm off with a Claymore, blood and gore in this kinds of games really adds to immersion. If people don't like it just make it an option to turn it off.

This is almost as good as limb removal, in terms of kickassing.
I'd love to see just pools of blood underneath piled corpses as my army continues to assault the walls
The only way to play Napoleonic wars is the Napoleonic Wars Enhancement Mod.
Seriously, this little compilation is really grand and makes the death noises and screams almost as good and PTSD inducing as Red Orchestra 2.
