For me most enemy armies have been infantry, when im fighting with allies i notice they use mostly horses though, almost 95% of them actually.
Also around 10% of the men in my game are actually ladies, including Napoleon Bonaparte.
hah i noticed that too, i posted about it in the bug report thread on taleworlds forums but I think apparently they already know.
I just finished my first singleplayer campaign.
Just under 1000 days. Every lord except me was convicted of treason and exiled from Calradia before it ended. I stayed with the Nords and became Ragnar's best friend, which resulted in me receiving more than half the map as other lords continued to be convicted of treason. Finally after the other kingdoms were conquered I emptied out my fiefs, made all my companions vassals and took the whole map back in about 2 hours since Ragnar had no more vassals and wouldn't ride more than a few feet from Sargoth to reclaim the things I was conquering.
Also Sanjar Khan turned into a commoner after the Kherjit Khanate was defeated and roamed the countryside hunting bandits for the rest of the game.

Holy shit haha that's genius. Make everyone leave except you, make the king give you the land and then make them defenseless by taking out the troops. Then just go on a conquering spree.
But how did you siege anything? Friendly towns can't have siege initiated upon them.

Went to Ragnar and asked to be released from my oath. Attacked some villagers around Dhirim to make them unfriendly.
Sanjar Khan is the hero we need etc. etc.

Finally. Love these blog posts.

Frölich Geschray is a really awesome band, I saw them live once at a festival over here. I'm really excited for this.
My favorite one is also the Khuzait theme. The Aserai one is also awesome.
Are the factions going to be the same as the old ones with new names?
edit: nvm found the old blog entry describing factions.
Neat music.
Also taverns look a lot better, not just a bunch of people standing around.
[T]https://www.taleworlds.com/Images/Blog/blog9.jpg[/T]
the worst would be when you go into a tavern
and everyone is just staring you down like you did something
Just music? Ugghhh.
Also, I think the new taverns are neat but they're really pushing that as a huge feature for some reason, which makes me worried.
I want things I'll actually be interested in, like defensive emplacements and artillery, and stupidly complex logistical systems.

[sp]Mark my fucking runes[/sp]
So I'm playing L'Aigle, joined the French Army. Guy tells me to go to the National Depot
Where the fuck is that?
Edit:
Oh it's actually a place on the map, I was looking inside the cities like a retard

Look on the main map.
It's called the 'Military Depot' on the map. It looks like a fort with star shaped walls.

Honestly when I played this actively, no matter the mod (except L'aigle, they fixed this pretty well), Taverns never seemed like Taverns, it seemed like "Interactive shop where you can go get some utilities done"(troops, bards, slaves, etc). It's hard not to see it like that when a whole city's tavern is populated by like 4 people total. And they all look directly at you as if they were making themselves ready for a fucking senior officer. I'm glad this is a huge feature. I hope they expand on it.
Bump, but w/e it could be an interesting discussion, been going through that ethnic music for M&B:2 and think I might have some ideas on who the real life doppelgangers are going to be based on the ethnic isntruments and styles used, also comparing to what was already known about warbands gameworld and history.
Empire - Romans (duuuuuhhhh)
Sturgia - Nordic/Germanic
Khuzait - Mongols/Eastern Steppe Nomads
Aserai - Ancient Semetic
Vlandia - Early Slavs, hard to tell with this one actually. A more southern Balkan theme could even fit in really, could be like an eastern roman empire. The use of the Lyra in the music would fit in with that
Battania - Gauls and/or Insular Celts. Likely Pictish and Gaelic people in particular. The name is suspiciously close to "Britannia" and the music seems to be styled after scottish gaelic folk music past the 0:40 mark. The picti/scotti cultures being the new enemies of rome would fit within the time-period of the roman empire collapsing (ie: when bannerlord is set)
Hopefully this is the case at any rate. M&B's factions were very central/eastern european, will be cool to have the game pull further west and north and get into the celtic/nordic tropes a bit more, as well as the actual roman-style empire would be something new. I actually wonder if the game will be situated in the west of calradia in the western off-world areas that were inaccessible in M&B: warband. In warband there doesn't seem to be any place where "the empire" was situated, so maybe it was west of the saranid sultanate and kingdom of rhodoks. It could be assumed that Swadia is sort of like France/Holy Roman Empire, a place that was only a province of the empire but sort of continued the tradition of the latin imperialism elements.
Likewise, the Sturgia kingdom may actually be from that northern viking area across the ocean that some of the nords mention in warband. The Nordic kingdom in Calradia is a colony, not the actual homeland.
Prophesy of Pendor is fun

is it me or does she have nipples?
Not in the texture. It's the gouraud shading combined with her lack of polygons.
those are some convincing polygons, then.

I'm pretty sure they just copypasted the naked body model and textured a dress over it, so the geometry probably terminates in the would-be nipple location
Another mystery solved, gang
We need more Warband mods that take place in Asia, Gekokujo and Suvarnabhumi Mahayuth are some of the best mods I've ever played.
Any good mods for Fire and Sword? Trying to get into it but vanilla experience for me feels so alien.

I tried to get into Gekokujo and the map was great, as was the art. But all the factions just feel so samey it's hard to give a shit in the same way you care about your starter nation being stomped in warband. i need a japanese history lesson or something.

I joined the Uesugi clan because one of their lords is called Kojima.

it helps if you're into the mood
i suggest you watch rurouni kenshin
I joined the Uesugi clan because one of their lords is called Kojima.
I joined the Uesugi clan and then backstabbed them by joining the Tokugawa clan because the clan leader never bothered to help out when my fiefs were attacked.
I was besties with Kojima for obvious reasons and I ended up having to fight him at one point.
Is Caribbean worth $15? I have a coupon for it, but I haven't really heard anything about it.
edit: from the developers themselves:
Sure, a good portion of negative reviews is justifiable. But is our game that bad? We'd like to think it's not. In any case we'll do our best to change your mind with an upcoming set of updates in the near future.
Yeah... I think I'll wait.
