[t]http://i.imgur.com/DijiCEW.jpg[/t] Not mine
I'd love to play that battle tho :v:
It almost sounds like a fair fight.
It almost sounds like a fair fight.
I did an 80 vs 400 the other day and won, so I feel like there's a chance if you really went all out and played flawlessly
I did an 80 vs 400 the other day and won, so I feel like there's a chance if you really went all out and played flawlessly
In battles like these if my main character kills more than 100 i feel really cheesy about it. But winning battles like this through excellent application of different troop types is always excellent.

Generally the AI likes to funnel its troops towards you in an unordered mob so if you're got a decent line of guys you can just turn the battle into a meat grinder. If you've got less than 50 troops though, you're pretty much screwed most of the time. Tactics won't do much to save you as you'll be heavily outnumbered in each wave and swarmed easily
Itching for Butterlord. Heard that in a recent blog you can't knock down walls themselves during a siege, but if you wait on the campaign map, the walls will progressively shatter over time. That actually makes more sense. You can still knock down ramparts+gates during the battle phase, and there's still multiple ways to take the castle. It seems like they're actually making an effort to have sieges mean something, rather than a speedbump that immediately leads to taking a castle. Food and reinforcements will be key to ensuring a successful siege. Not to mention that youw ill now be able to see if a city is under siege without having to hover around looking for it. It will say something like "Spingusburg (Under Siege)" and will have stakes around it.
i really hope some of the good mods for previous games get remade in bannerlord like genkokujo, sw conquest, clash of kings and 1860s would be tits with bannerlord gameplay and graphics.

If you choose to knock down walls you have to bombard them over a certain amount of time, you can also construct and place siege engines during the planning phase. Wondering if they will implement this on multiplayer sieges, so attackers have a planning phase before attacking.
Also, iirc, it's possible to win sieges without having to fight. The AI may not be able to garrison a settlement in time, and if you vastly outnumber the defenders, they'll crumble in a day or two

I took over almost the entirety of Sarleon, including Sarleon itself by waiting for D'shar to fuck them up.

Pretty easy at that point to break up the enemy crowd and as long as you sweep by often if they try and swarm your troops you can pick off huge sections of them at a time. If the enemy has high tier horseback troops or archers though you're pretty fucked
A swadian knight charge wrecks pretty much everything outside sieges in vanilla warband. That's my personal experience with them at least. 30-40 swadian knights are enough to beat 400+ armies provided that your tactics skill is high enough imo. I thought a rhodok spear wall would stop them but since formations are shite in the base game and there's no spear bracing it doesn't really work. Rhodok sharpshooters are fearsome though, when well protected. Vaegirs go down like paper in any battle. They have weak infantry, weak cavalry, and mediocre archers(supposedly the best in the game but doesn't appear like it) Sarranids are like a better version of vaegirs. Khergits are pretty good in whittling down enemy numbers in long, drawn out battles, but their light armor and unarmored horses(random) make their melee units pretty easy to down. Nords are scary af to fight when you're dismounted. Pretty much a joke when you're mounted though, if you disregard their nasty throwing weapons. Charging at rhodoks requires more caution because of their long pointy spears but it gets pretty easy once you go around them and start murdering their archer units first. Swadians have mediocre infantry but their nice cavalry is easily obtainable by players. Pretty easy to fight unless the AI uses more than a handful of knights. Those things are ridiculous tanks.
I love Vaegir archers because they shoot ridiculously fast so it makes me feel like i've got twice the archers.
Try being the flag carrier, you invariable are the first to die and subsequently spend about 45 minutes to an hour waiting for the next round.
Why do they go after the useless flags? Surely a guy shootin a gun is a higher priority target.
Try being the flag carrier, you invariable are the first to die and subsequently spend about 45 minutes to an hour waiting for the next round.
Sadly my regiment doesn't have flag carriers, but if it's your birthday you can go as a musician :v: http://plays.tv/video/57869fc8b01104bc25/fire?from=search&search=xenoyia some more regimental hilarity
Why do they go after the useless flags? Surely a guy shootin a gun is a higher priority target.
glory thats why also they're dumb, use muskets you fools! 8th King's Regiment of Foot is back after retiring back in febuary and im very happy

Even when they've got a single defender I've never been able to convince them to surrender.
Ya the 42nd have been around forever and I still see them in events, good reg imo I'm in the 44th atm
do you know if Hunter is still playing? I know some of the names that I joined up with are dead set hardcore on keeping the regiment alive. I Still talk to some dudes of the 42nd, we kinda evolved into a gaming community through the past 4 years but after about half a year back many of us left because some of the new comers basically took the place over and didn't show any respect to anyone that had been there longer. Which pissed us off entirely because we didn't want it to become all elitist and hyper realistic, only a fun experience for everyone with that side of harsh banter that we were used to. [editline]18th July 2016[/editline] basically one side of us took the game for what it was, while the newer comers were super sensitive and hyper realistic. Reminds me of the days back when we had a dude called Jimmy who was the captain when I joined, he was this american dude that tried so hard to be british and essentially treat teamspeak as a living quarters. That game does bring in some weird ass people. [editline]18th July 2016[/editline] also, anyone here remember the bush pirates? :v: [editline]18th July 2016[/editline] aahh fuck you guys are making me reminisce :v: We had some turkish guys in the 42nd back when we were at our highest in numbers, one dude called Alp we ranked as "regiments chef" because we couldn't give him a officer rank as his internet kept dropping and at the time there was shit tons of protests where he lived, which often resulted in his microphone picking up clashes and gunfire whilst we were ingame :v:
I'm not sure, I only really know Butler and I don't think he plays anymore.
Oh fuck you know lil butler? :v: Yeah we joined up at roughly the same time, He left about the same time as I did too, Im fairly certain for the same reasons too, but also because he had GCSE's and the likes to do so he kept away from the reg for abit.
Oh damn we have an M&B thread? Finally a place to share these babies [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/498028597180285515/754D26C7BDDB52C0599888E3EBF766D3C40B3AAC/[/t] [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/498028597180285723/CEB3844813069959B53520902F262F1AD14E0867/[/t]

The new Bannerlord gameplay looks awesome. Did the graphics always look like this? I don't remember the lighting being like that in previous footage but maybe i'm wrong.
First game I've been hyped for in a while, defending a siege looks great
That hair looks too solid.
