At least I still have that Perisno mod to keep me company while waiting for a release date.
i can wait as long as it doesn suck
Personally, i feel like it was supposed to be a small upgrade at first like between the original and warband, but then they realized that this might flop it, like it did with say just cause 3
I still haven't got warband to work since I upgraded to windows 10 (I only consider it an upgrade because I had windows 8. It's surely worse than 7)
I've tried compatibility modes and installation. Any Ideas?
I run W10, no problems running Warband at all.

If anything, try running it as administrator. Have you also tried going into the security tab of the exe to change permissions for the user(s)?
Holy shit I had no idea Warband was on consoles until I read the patch notes today, I feel bad for controller users.
imagine cross platform play ;)
in detail.
I get the startup thing (choose what module you're doing and whatnot) and, after the talewords video, the program stops.
I kinda hated MnB's combat a few days ago, but I've been getting better at it, and I have to say it's not bad at all. The only issue I can see myself or other people having is that there's no simulation of stamina, so NPCs could spam you as much as they want to if you let them get too close. I know I'll be alright though, because I use polearms and bows.

Imagine people hating themselves enough to play MnB MP on a console against PC players.
HD texture pack update anyone?
seems like the UI textures was really the only thing bumped.

Chamber blocking usually guarantees a free hit on spammers.
The true fuck you is being attacked through the ragdoll of an enemy you just killed

it was more about smashing those console players off the castle's wall ...
the good feeling
I actually picked up Warband on the PS4 while my PC is out of action.
The combat takes some getting used to, but for the most part it's pretty manageable. I managed to at least score kills in multiplayer. The only server that I noticed was populated on the PS4 was Europe 9 running siege gamemodes.
Fuck people spamming in your face, though. Lancing fools flailing around is the most satisfying thing ever.
Best I managed to do so far was 8 kills and 10 deaths, and I am getting slightly better at it by the day. Since I have no idea when I can get my PC running again, I suppose I will have plenty of time to practice.

I still think it's funny that we got an update to upgrade to the "HD textures" of the console version and it ended up being an 80mb update. I know it was just a few minimal things but I told a buddy that and he goes "lolol 80mb hd console graphics" or something like that. Had a little laugh about it.
guess it would be harder to sell to console users 8GB ultraHD textures for PC ;)
new Bannerlord blog

I really like how TaleWorlds is giving us the option to be morally unscrupulous outside of raiding villages and caravans in Bannerlord.

Kinda underwhelming, but, ain't gonna complain.
I thought that was already known (at least the alleyway bit) .
Still, pretty pumped.
I wonder if they'll have dialogue relating to the shit you pull with them, maybe changing based on personality.
"are you ready to run once again, you sniveling dog. Time after time I beat you, and time after time your cowardice prevails"
Or for the same scenario, different guy
"You're a difficult opponent, I admire that, although I hope that this will be our last confrontation."
and they add in loads of little nuances, like change his level of anger based on how many of his men you've killed, how much of his fief you've burned,How many of your fiefs he's burned, if you act for a faction or as a bandit. Or maybe even just change how the character gets angry. Do they rant and rave, do they get cold and detached. The good stuff. It'll be great for a sandbox.
They should probably stop caring about weird physical magazines tho :v:
Nothing new in the blog but it's nice to see a dev who actually knows what the fuck their game is all about, as in they know what fans want and expect from the game
in this instance, they know that quests aren't supposed to be small narrative driven adventures like they usually are in other games, but rather an anomalous occurrence/event which has an impact on the regular sandbox dynamic
Just give me the Khergit I need to be running down a hill with a 2 handed sabre charging the enemy.

Reinstalled warband, and as per usual this game progressively gets more and more broken every time I upgrade my computer. Can't play with environment shadows or AA on (former causes tiled shadow bugs and latter causes massive <10 fps lag), and now stores stop selling arrows and boot/hand armor about 15 minutes into every new game.
At this point I just want bannerlord so I can play an M&B game that will work on modern PCs. This wait is just agonizing.
I'm just waiting on Bannerlord now. Battle Brothers has been pretty good at scratching the M&B itch for me so far.

Odd, i never had issues like that. Is your version up to date?
I literally can't play the game fullscreened and alt tabbing causes it to crash. Intrestingly though, installing floris evolved fixed all my problems if I run it not through steam.

A friend of mine also said that game was pretty good for early access. How exactly does it compare to MB?

I'd hope so, since it's on Steam.

World map is a more gritty grimdark Warband and is my favorite part of the game. Combat is medieval X-Com.
I love it but I love the setting so I tend to miss its faults.
Yeah, it's got the same basic premise of running a merc warband, working for various towns and factions. What's nice is it has a touch of fantasy to it, since there are undead and orcs, so when you get tired of fighting humans there's tougher foes out there. It's a pretty hard game, you'll definitely lose people on the way, but it's satisfying to see a guy go from a useless peasant to a hardened warrior.
Only downside I'd say is that due to the XCOM/tactical style gameplay you don't get that satisfaction of playing as one particular character, but it's still pretty fun. The graphics and art are great, and the battles are satisfyingly bloody too.
