there are only two things i hope they add to bannerlords; the ability to hit multiple targets with one attack and smoother/more fluid animation
And a more lively, good looking world.
The way the AI just stand around awkwardly and do nothing at feasts and in taverns is really immersion breaking.
yeah, forgot, a complete AI overhaul would be needed. basically fix the AI, animations, and some issues with combat and I'd be happy with the sequel.

so i'm conquering the entirety of Calradia, and I took a token for every nation I defeated :)
Any mods (other than Floris and Blood and Steel) that add lots of features but keeps the original factions and map?
Native Expansion does.
That Imperium Romanum mod looks pretty slick, been needing Roman themed things to hold me over till the release of Total War: Rome II.
If you like Classic Roman soldiers (By that i mean post marian lorica clad, rectangular shield wielding Legionaries) I suggest you try My Minimod for Imperium Romanum, I'll list the features here:
- Changes all Gladius weapons to thrust ONLY
- Changes 1 of the Pilum Items to have a max of 2.
- Renames the Auxilia Brittonum peregrinus that can be upgraded into Legio II soldiers to Brittonum peregrinus (makes it easier picking them out when you get them as rescued captives) and simplifies the upgrades they can go through, it also makes it so that the "alternate" line of Legio II Soldiers (Legio II Augusta) can be upgraded into the main line of LEgio II (They can upgrade into Immunis), also does the same to the Centurions and the Vexilarius, meaning they can be upgraded into their main line equivilants, it simply means you don't have a mess of a party list if you rescue prisoners)
- Changes the Mercenary Captain that you can recruit in taverns into Legio II Centurions (because Mercenary Captains can be sent off on their own party and I'm nto smart enough to make it so that the normal centurions get that option)
- Adds new Units - Optio (Just because I fancied a stepping point between a Legionary and a Centurion) I've also added Legio II Equites, Decurions and Draconarius, that upgrade from the main tree, not historically accurate, but just makes it easier in terms of upgrading/recruiting etc)
- Changes the players starting inventory to Centurion Equipment and added a Decurion Shield (for if you want to make a hero a Decurion)
- Changes the players starting party to the following:
(Normal Size) 154 Legio II Miles, 2 Legio II Centurions (Mercenary Captains), 2 Vexilarius, 30 Legio II Equites
(Reduced Size) 78 Legio II Miles, 1 Legio II Centurion (MErcenary Captain), 1 Vexilarius, 15 Legio II Equites
So thats it, as far as I remember (I spent a long time playing around and tweaking this)
What I'd love to do in the future:
Be able to make my newly added Decurion unit act like the Mercenary Captain (being able to lead groups of troops etc) Unfortunately I don't know enough to actually do that, so if someone could either show me how or do it for me, that'd be great.
Upgrade PAth Guide Included
A note on Rescued Prisoners: Sometimes some of the prisoners you rescue will either have similar or the same names (Legio II Aug or the Centurions or Vexilarius) I've added a "Sidegrade" to these units which means for a cost, both xp and money wise, you can change these into the same units that you have, just to prevent a cluttering of the troop types.)
It mostly affects one Faction, the player starting party and a few pieces of equipment. If you want the specific Troops, you have to recruit from these places
Westarham
Cetham
Ciorrincg
Aewiue
Dofras
You can usually get around 80-100 recruits with a good standing with each village (20 in each village), the first battle you're in though, you will lose a lot of them. Maybe move them into a custom group other than archers so you can use them as skirmishers to soften up your enemy.
At the end of the tree, the roman units for Legio II are very tough and skilled, the downside being it takes ages to get them that far and you're likely to lose a lot of them. Though, eventually, you can in theory have a full legion following you (if you make Centurions into party leaders and give them troops accordingly.
You can take your 100 village recruits to the nearest training field, spar with 2-4 of them a time or three and they're all ready for upgrading into something that actually has weapons and armor.
Edit: You can even train your archers or cavalry by doing the target practice and track riding stuff at the training field but it gets too grindy compared to just making them fight past the first couple of tiers.
So how different is Blood and Steel compared to Floris?
So how different is Blood and Steel compared to Floris?
Blood and Steel is a collection of mods that don't fit well together thematically made worse by some really shoddy mechanics and quirks, whereas Floris is a collection of the best mods for M&B that is reputedly quite good.
I used to like B&S but Xenoargh ruined it and I can't stand it anymore.
Floris is quite ridiculous and hard tbh.
It doesn't give the players lot of chances to start up, and you have to be really lucky to survive.
Floris mod and Brytenwalda are also worth a go.
Never tried Brytenwalda, but Floris is pretty awesome. When I last played it it had some unpolished aspects here and there, but generally very minor stuff aside from the fucking bandit hordes spawning later on. Although, I suppose, you could say it's a rebellion of some sort.

Generally what I love about M&B is how it just drops you into a world that's playing itself. I hope they turn that up to eleven, there's still so much much more that they could do with that.
Also I wouldn't mind a bit of lore. I wouldn't want it story ridden, or even have a story at all, but a little backstory about factions, cultures, and other stuff here and there wouldn't be bad.

M&B has always had a bit of backstory that you can get by listening to your companions introductions and their ramblings about places that matter to them when you go there on the world map and by talking to minstrels and travellers. Imo lord and companion personalities and interaction could be fleshed out alot more.
Also Floris is p. cool but sadly not developed anymore and there's some buggy equipment. Also the tuff as fuck bandit lords that pop up just keep on coming becacuse you can't capture them and have to resort to beating their horde again every few days.
edit:
Taleworlds keeps setting deadlines for the new patch that they are just unable to keep.

Right, it'd be lovely if there were generated personalities, or maybe set personalities for some lords. Similar to how Yarologek usually looses his whole faction since he doesn't give any fiefs, although apparently that's a bug.

Hop in a Lord's army until you're leveled enough to survive easily on your own. It may not always be the funnest route but it's fairly safe.
Holy shit, I never knew prerelease of the game had undeads, ghouls and necromancers.
I just started playing Blood and Steel and I'm done. It is a ridiculous mod and native expansion + floris are much better vanilla expansion SP mods.
Holy shit, I never knew prerelease of the game had undeads, ghouls and necromancers.
they dropped those but kept firearms, hidden samurai armor and black knights for p. long

If too start up in a game you have to endure boredom and frustration for actually a really long time (if you level up a good bit, lords rarely get in fights), then is it really a good mod? I don't think the payout's worth it honestly.

if you stick with a lord you get to keep all the sick ass armor you get

Doesn't bore and frustrate me so yes it is a good mod.
[editline]17th July 2013[/editline]
What sort of lord are you signing up with that they rarely fight? Harlaus gets in all sorts of idiotic engagements he can't win.
And aside from that it's really not that difficult to just go it alone.
Anyone from FP still playing Warband's cRPG mod?

It's now a daily deal. Bought Napoleonic Wars, yay.
And why isn't Napoleonic Wars standalone? it would have more players
I think it's because the resources are like, 90 percent Warband with only the uniforms, sounds, some props and the weapons being different.
Am I the only one not able to log into the MnB nexus?
they dropped those but kept firearms, hidden samurai armor and black knights for p. long
They removed the samurai armor? I'm pretty sure I wore it last time I played Warband. Hmm, must have been floris.

I still play on occasion. A friend and I recently made MGS-themed skip the fun characters.

finally won a game for once, (vaegirs got cut off idk) :D, endgame stats
So I'm making a new recruitment video for the 8th, I haven't made an NW machinima on my new computer, we will have to see how this turns out. With fancy DirectX 9 graphics and all. My old computer could barely run it at lowest.
It's in response to our Colonel (Jorge's) recent improv one that doesn't do too much good for our image. And as Secretary and PR manager for the 8th, it is my duty to remedy the situation with a video that does not contain the line "Private Baby Ballsacks please step forward you Irish piece of shit".

Go to your camp and retire from adventuring, that gets you your endgame stats and a little story about what became of you.

Huh. Total score was something like 415000, cool. The story it gave me was retarded though. I'm the King of all of Calradia and it told me I was found out to be the son of a count in Bariyye and I became rich off the inherited fief. It also said I became one of the most powerful advisors to the King in history.
I found a most curious man. When I assisted the storming of a fort as a flutist, me and another other chap were captured as prisoners and locked in a house with a piano.
I turned to face the man to see something ghastly.
