Just don't attack anything thats bigger than you. Win tons of battles/missions and build up a good company from your swag money.
Oh hey is it that riot mod that we saw earlier in the thread?
nope

Cavalry is OP, and numbers aren't everything.

this
i've only got about an 85 man group in my game of swc, and while i personally kick ass and take names in just about every battle, i can still get fucked when i go up against a bigger group. good thing i just cheat and give myself money to buy op armor :D

When you start up, you'll want to have an army that can scare off bandits and you'll want to start trading to generate income. From trade you buy shops and from shops you get more income. From there you can hire better armies, better armies and you can join a faction.
What should I aim for now after I get my first fief? And which skill do I prioritize in order to have the biggest army possible? I noticed there's multiple 'army size' skills.
I'm playing PoP right now allied with the Empire, and we're losing land.
Okay, gonna play warband again, what mod should i use? I have downloaded 1257, a clash of kings, sod warlords and the ottoman scenario. What you guys think?
I looked at the Ottoman scenario and I'm a bit confused. Does it add the Ottomans to Calradia or is it a mod for Fire and Sword or what? It didn't really say on the moddb page.
How do I siege castles as a bandit?
I've made a faction hate me enough to attack me whenever they see me (-50 relation I think), but I still can't attack their cities.

You need a large enough force and the engineer skill or a companion with the skill.

Is A Clash of Kings stable yet? Last time I tried it the tournaments were broken.
Floris will always be my favorite mod.
I wish that if Bandits took over a town, that they would own that town rather than being a "Attack The Bandits/Leave" situation.
Then said town would become 'Bandit Territory' and be at war with all nations, and then the town would be fair game to whoever sees fit to take it.
Well there ends up being armies of bandits roaming the countryside. Is it possible to be bad enough they don't attack you?

The trouble is that any faction party could beat a bandit faction easy. Bandits pretty much exist to give you someone to fight early game. They could buff bandits up so they can fight faction armies but that would just make things harder for the player early game.
Except those bugs where you stumble across a town infested by thousands of bandits.

have you seen floris bandit parties....
I started a new character to see how far I could get by only throwing rocks at people. (And punching them when I ran out of ammo.)

Get very far?
Get very far?
Probably got within a stone's toss.

I wonder how powerful you can be with a maxed throwing skill and some stones.

Gotta say it looks great. Better graphics but still seems to have the same "feel".
I assume there is more info on the site but it's down atm and I haven't been able to get on it.
Those are beautiful. Praise the lord, I can't wait!
ohohoho man this is going to be great
it has that taleworlds graphics style.
good artists working with low polygons.
edit: it does look pretty dated though, it's like were back in 2007, especially the foliage.
That looks amazing and it still has the MaB feeling. So does it still have all the mechanics of Warband and such?
Oh my god FINALLY

I hope they keep the current mechanics and improve/add to them
last time i checked there were rumors that the devs wanted to make blocking deeper. You cant probably stop a claymore with a shortsword and block breaking is a pretty lackluster mechanic for the most extreme cases like mauls so maybe this time there will be parries and such. Don't know how they might be implemented.
edit: chamber blocks are already practically parries so maybe improve on that?

That would be my nightmare because I suck at blocking in Mount and Blade.
~ RIP any semblance of melee ability.
oh thank god, everyone on /v/ kept saying all the devs were either dead or in jail, i started to get worried that this would never come through
praise the sun!
